Listing on Villas of Distinction was very inaccurate. Things were not as pictured and many things were missing . Entrance way was terrible and unsafe (loose bricks) Lots of weeds around pool. Icemaker was broken but they did provide bagged ice.. Lots of additional expenses $125 to use grill and $300 heat hot tub. This is Florida in July. Bathrooms unsafe. No safety grab bars or shelving in shower. Interior was nice and roomy but we were very disappointed overall. read more

Beautiful stay for a vacation of a lifetime! We booked an eight bedroom house and there is so much space for us all. Everyone has their own bed. I love the themes of the rooms. There is a Harry Potter room, Star Wars room, and an Encanto room! The house came with everything we needed to be comfortable. Towels, tissue, cooking utensils, trash bags, pool area and a game room. Natalie Jacoby waited 30 minutes prior to our check in and stated the following, "Just a heads up, we sent an electrician to the property today because we are having issues with the wiring of the fans/lights. We've had to disable the fans in 4 of the rooms because the lights weren't shutting off. We do have table lamps available in the bedrooms for lighting. Thanks for your understanding!" Natalie advised us that we could cancel our reservations if we were unpleased with the condition of this home. Not once, did she try to rectify the issue by offering us a partial refund. Some of our family have traveled from Georgia and some from Gainesville, FL. This is a holiday weekend, so of course, with the size family we have, there were no other homes available. From the smell of pets, the urine left in toilets, the drapes that were torn, the condition of the chairs and the list goes on, this home wasn't cleaned at all!! The pictures shown on the website was completely different from what we seen in person. Yes, we were catfished. The cleanliness was unhygienic with several issues of dirty linens and infestation of bugs. We communicated several times about the importance of getting these issues resolved ASAP due to one of our guest being in remission of Cancer. There was a lack of concern from the host when it came to addressing issues above. Everything about this airbnb was disgusting and by far the most dirtiest airbnb I've ever stayed in. Sad to say, the condition of this home, I wouldn't even allow my fur baby to stay in. We're going to give them the opportunity to speak with us directly, but if nothing is done, we will get our attorney involved. read more

We rented a 5 bedroom house on this resort property and it was amazing! So many cool amenities at our house and at the resort! Our house had a little movie theater and a cool rec room that even had motorcycle riding arcade games! The kids loved the kid pool area and playground. My 8 year old niece even learned how to surf on the flow rider (extra charge, but worth it!). Our management company, orlando rent a villa, was on top of any questions and concerns we had. Shopping and great restaurants were within 10 min drive. We especially liked the burgers at Adlers and Ice cream from twistee treat! We will definitely be back! read more

I came here for a Florida vacation and it was a great experience. The moment we got up to the entrance I was impressed by the way everything looked. There was a security guard and they explained all the information we needed to know about the resort. We stayed at 9037 Flamingo Key Way and the house was beautiful. It was a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom house. It had a pool and a private jacuzzi in the backyard. The house was very well kept except for some fingerprints on the walls. It had a second living room on the second floor with a projector to watch movies. They also had a washer and dryer to wash laundry. I enjoyed the clubhouse pool, restaurant and amenities. I would come back due to the great value you get for the price. read more

We love this resort! We've stayed in a few different ones in the area but this is our current favorite. The resort amenities are great. The layout is functional and they have something for everyone. Pool, bar, cabanas, teen room, basketball court, volleyball court, wave runner, playground. No complaints from me. read more

My review posted today with pics. We were so excited to have our family all in one place for a vacation. When we arrived we honestly felt like we hit the jackpot. On the surface everything looked to be in order. The master bedroom blinds were broken, and that was the only thing we noticed. Unfortunately this great feeling only lasted a few hours. My grandson was excited to sleep in a themed room, but upon inspection we saw it was covered in ants. The room was sprayed, but the bedding with dead ants was never addressed, so we didn't feel comfortable putting him in there. The next day we opened the drawer under the coffee pot, and it was full of mouse droppings and the starter pack of coffee supplies had been destroyed. We also found droppings in the silverware tray and multiple drawers and cabinets. Owners of properties that are essentially short term rentals should ensure that accommodations meet sanitary conditions and be free of vermin and as owners should address health and safety threats such as mouse droppings. I felt sure that we would be relocated on the spot; however, although this is billed as a luxury experience, that is not what we received. That night something got into the pantry and bit holes in food bags and nibbled on things. They did set traps that day, but we were left with mouse droppings all over the floor of the living room and in kitchen cabinets. Nothing was cleaned up or sanitized. I even mentioned there was no dust pan for the broom. We had to wet paper towels to get the droppings off the floor. They also brought new silverware, but when they tried to put it in the drawer where the mouse droppings were, I had to respectfully ask them not to. That night we heard an awful noise coming from the theater. In the morning my grandson went into the media room, and there were droppings in front of the door. There was a hole eaten into the corner of the room. We shut the door and did not open that room for the remainder of the stay. When I sent pictures and continued to complain, they offered to send someone to clean the next day. Unfortunately that only consisted of picking up the droppings, not cleaning all of the utensils in any of the cabinets. This was after they left us in those conditions for half of our stay. Even when I sent back pictures of droppings that were overlooked, no one offered to do anything. We couldn't use one bedroom and the media room. No one wanted to sit in the living room. We decided to try to grill one night, and we found a large roach in that drawer. Finally on night five of our six night stay, they did offer to move us. As a family we decided that skipping Disney to pack all of our belongings and be relocated twenty minutes away was not how we wanted to spend the evening. Plus they had left us in a place full of mouse droppings the previous four nights, so it was a little late for them to be concerned for our health and well being. We had with us two small children, a pregnant daughter and a disabled vet; their lack of concern for those most vulnerable was appalling. They did offer to refund $110 of our $360 grocery bill. They did refund us $1000 dollars and 15% off a future stay. Although this sounds really good, these are current promotions offered on their website. When you pay $5600 just for accommodations, you would expect outstanding customer service for what you pay. Relocation on the first night is what should have been done, but at minimum a cleaning should have been done immediately. I would say in most instances, you get what you pay for, but sadly this was not the case. read more

BED BUGS / UNREASONABLE & UNACCOMMODATING HOST / COLD POOL AFTER PAYING $75 TO HAVE IT HEATED We had a great start to our vacation and it just kept going downhill. We paid $75 for our pool to be heated a few days before we checked in and the only day it was warm was the last day when we had to check out after asking multiple times for a resolution and for them to come out and make it warmer. At first glance the house is beautiful. The closer you look, the more you find wrong with it. The couch on the second floor was ripped, the door handle out to the pool was broken, the toilet paper holder on the first floor was broken. There were stains on a lot of the carpets. The day before we checked out, We paid $50 for a late check out that Dennis and I mutually agreed on 2pm. The morning of checkout, we paid an additional $25 for a 6 pm checkout that was mutually agreed upon. Within the hour, Dennis messaged me after we already agreed on a late check out and told us something came up and we had to be out by 11am. We had already left for the day planning to check out later in the day and had to cancel our plans to call Airbnb customer service to beg for a later checkout because Dennis did not stick to our mutually paid agreement. Here is the kicker, On our very last day we found a BED BUG in the Frozen themed room... absolutely disgusting. Now 16 of us have to worry about making sure we didn't bring the disgusting bugs home from our trip..... read more

Had a great time at the Solara resort. The house looks just like the pictures. Clean well laid out and spacious. The few things I would change, having washcloths. I know that may be a North American hotel thing because I have traveled internationally to find no wash cloths however, I was in Florida. I would make sure I asked for the pool to be heated and grill in advance since those are extra costs. The pool takes 24 hours to heat up so it was not worth it. Great location, easy to find, stores in close proximity. Bigger pool in the Complex but we only used the house pool. The neighborhood was clean and safe. Getting through the security gate was seamless. I would recommend this house and definitely go back again. Great for Family or Friends getaway read more

If I could, I would rate this place a zero! We are staying here with two infants, and we are forced to listen to Hispanic music blasting throughout the day. Our kids are trying to nap!! We also have the next-door neighbor who blocked our driveway and stayed up until 1 AM smoking pot and talking and laughing outside our unit. We called security at the resort, and they couldn't find the address that we are staying at, Really!?!? They don't even know the address in their resort. If you have small children DON'T stay here!!!! read more

I honestly expected a better experience. We knew we were coming in winter (end of January-first week of February), so we eagerly requested for our pool to be heated 24 hrs during our week and a half stay. When we first arrived, the weather was warm around 75-80 degrees, so our pool heated to the temp it was set (about 85 degrees), no problem. Throughout our stay, the weather dropped between 65-54 with lows in the early morn and evenings. These were the times that we looked forward to the warm pool most. Unfortunately, we did not get this luxury. The pool was never covered (which we would willingly use so the heat could be regulated more efficiently) so the pool temp kept dropping. Clearly the heating system couldn't keep up. One morning we had a maintenance man come put a cold water hose in our pool at 10am so then there was no hope the pool would heat up that day. We asked the management to come out and look at it (same day), which they did promptly. They said it was currently at 75 and set to 82. None of the adults could even get in the pool so we all didn't believe it was actually 75. We then find out that the pool had never been set to 24 hr heating! It would turn off at 8pm and then turn on 8am. Well no wonder our pool had no chance to keep up. We didn't get to enjoy our pool more than two days of our 10 day trip. Learning: be aware that if the weather is under 75 degrees, don't expect to enjoy your pool. :( It also didn't help that the community kids pool is not heated so we tried to use that once just to say we did but kids didn't even last 10 mins. Benefits: Kids playground--fenced, with adult only ability to open locks. Large homes--we fit 20 people comfortably in our home. Gym--free gym access open to all guests. Large community pool--heated and large enough for multiple guests. Plenty of lounge chairs. Gated community. read more

Brendan & Peter were two of the chillest people I've ever met and I had a blast with them. They knew what they were doing they offered great tips. Filthy roach motel during COVID! DETAILS: 1. We had a comforter with blood on it. When we reached out to customer relations they told us there was a 24 hour time Period in which we could report any issues... (we checked in one day after our original check in date due to flight complications) Once we told them to review our check in time, they offered to bring a new comforter but never did. APPALLING! 2.Walls had very visible hands prints & food smudging on them. I'm not sure how housekeeping could over look these details on white walls in well lit rooms. 3. Bar stool chairs have old food remnants imbedded in the weaving of the material. One bar stool had a leg that was not attached causing someone to collapse when they sat on the unsteady stool. 4. Roaches! We spotted two Roaches during our stay & were sure to immediately throw all of our belongings in the laundry upon returning home. 5. The upstairs restroom was swarming with smalls ants. We opted out of using that restroom all together. 6. The main level restroom had a prior guests old used soap & shampoo STILL IN THE SHOWER! (This took the cake for me....DISTGUSTING!) Did they even attempt to clean the bathroom? 7. The outdoor pool was a bit murky. We found old cigarettes & plastic wrapping outside of the pool. Overall... we enjoyed our stay OUTSIDE of the house/rental property. We spent a much time away from the rental as possible. We will never return to this resort.... EVER! If they can not commit to cleanliness during a pandemic, I'm petrified for anyone traveling there outside of COVID. read more

My in laws love coming to Orlando every summer to go to all the theme parks. It's a family tradition. We rented a 9 bedroom home here for all of us to stay in a few weeks ago. Plenty of sleeping space for everyone. Plus a nice size pool and jacuzzi in the back. Community has a clubhouse, restaurant, gym, basketball court and swim area. It is located in a developing area. Not a lot going on immediately outside the community. But thankfully by car, it's not too far from major Orlando attractions. read more

The pool and tiki bar was closed during our entire vacation at this resort. REALLY? Not only is it concerning this happened from a security standpoint, but why would it take days to resolve this issue when people are traveling miles to come here? The pool and tiki bar were one of the main reasons we chose this resort. Also, it was advertised that there was more then one restaurant and there is also an ice cream parlor and coffee bar. Basically, it was the one restaurant with some ice cream and coffee. There are many other resorts in this area to choose from. This one was very disappointing. read more

Also there was NO amenities available when we arrived like soap, dishwasher - not eve dishcloth or enough towel for our group. I have stayed in many Airbnbs but this one was one of the worst...what is a shame because has a lot of potential. Security? ZERO! Anyone can enter here and there is a very interesting "clientela". Broke washer machine, dirt all over walls everywhere, blinds off, dirty laundry once entering property, knives broken, half a roll or no roll of tissue, broken tennis table, both arcade games not working, broken stocket, ice maker broke in one refrigerator, cheap pots to cook in, chip paint, two broke chairs, no washcloths, drawer broken,, sinks don't drain properly, most of the electricity stockets don't work, stove don't accommodate 28 ppl (cheap), two lights bulbs out, dryer handle missing, workout bench broken, rats by trash bin and much more. Had to spend money on disinfectant because once checked in house was not clean or sanitized along with having to buy tissue & washcloths. These are minor issue, so it's not like they can't be fixed. My friends and I had an incredible time staying at the Solara resort. Chicken ceaser by the pool is highly recommended. The best part of this place is definitely the flow rider, Brendan by the pool was extremely helpful and resourceful. Really awesome dude and I hope he's there when we come back to visit! read more

The houses appear very pretty, but the community is full of trash. It takes days for it to get picked and is all over the place. Also the 7 Eleven down the road is super sketch! This area is more shady than it appears at first. We will pick a different section of town to stay in next time! read more

Solara has the potential to be a great resort. The biggest draw back is the garbage that is literally everywhere. The "valet trash" service takes the garbage from the front door, drops it at the sidewalk and driveway, then the truck comes and the driver picks up the trash and throws it into the back of the uncovered trailer that is hitched to the truck. Unfortunately, any garbage that falls out at any point or flys out of the trailer is left. There is literally a little garbage all over the place. The sidewalk on our block has glass that is been there for weeks now. There are oyster shells laying on the street. The HOA does nothing to keep the common areas like the streets, sidewalks or parkways clean. However, if you park on the street they will knock on every door to find the driver and make them move their car. If the HOA kept the place clean this would be a 5 star resort. read more

This was our second trip to a Villatel Property. Our first trip was AMAZING, the house was spotless, everything was wonderful. So we booked again. We were planning to come quarterly, because we loved it. First, we walked right into the house. The front door was not only unlocked, but open. So I immediately went to check the back door and again- open! The lock was completely broken. So I called Jeeves and they sent someone out to fix it at 11pm. How scary that we had kids staying in a house that didn't lock!! And no one told us it didn't lock, we had to find out on our own. Terrifying. Next, upon going into the home, it was filthy. Not only filthy, but there is no way it was cleaned before our arrival. There were no "wraps" on any of the toilets like there was last time. There was something red spilled on the floor. One of the toilets was absolutely disgusting. There was a used rusty razor on the floor of a shower. Most of the showers had mold and mildew and soap scum all over them. Used Bars of soap on most of the windows of the showers. The movie theater had stacks of garbage shoved behind the water heater. It smells SO bad, someone spilled what looks like bbq or ketchup all over 2 of the seats and it was a sticky mess. We were unable to use the theater due to the condition. The arcade had used Popsicle sticks stuck to the machines. This was a radically different experience from our February trip. I almost have no words to properly express our disgust and disappointment with this house and our stay. At this price point, you don't expect things like this to happen. Hopefully our house was just skipped or forgotten to be cleaned before our arrival, and this is not the norm. Because how awful if someone actually claimed they "cleaned" it Regardless, we will not be renting from Villatel again. We were very uncomfortable the whole 8 days. read more

Came here for a 2 week vacation. And I'm in the market to possibly buy a 2nd home. So was very interested in this resort. What a shame this place is thought it had so much potential. Soon as I pulled in the gate I knew I made a mistake. Trash everywhere along the roads. Ripped open trash bags. Trash and litter along the side walks. Than we got to out house. Really don't have much negative to say about our place. It was clean and nice. Than theirs the clientele of the resort. Fireworks going off all hours of the night. From dark to 5am. All the firework trash just left on the street. Than we had people doing donuts and burn outs all hours of the night. The security in this place was a joke. Even at the gate. As one car goes through the gate another tailgates. The pool is not bad early in the mornings. But once it gets more crowded the service sucks. Some days the pool bar and service was open some days it's not. First time ever we decided to not use the pool at our resort but rather drove a little bit away and snuck in to a pool at a resort we've previously stayed at. As one review saids yes the 7-11 is shady. Wasn't sure if I was in West Philly or Orlando. I will not consider coming back to this resort even if it was free. I've seen reviews on other sites of bullet holes in their car. Wouldn't doubt it. read more

Our stay at the Solara Resort has been a wonderful experience. The home was spacious, clean & homey-exactly as described thru Airbnb. Our six children and their families visited throughout our stay. The Resort has something for everyone without leaving the property. Highly recommend this location. We are looking forward to returning to make more happy memories read more
