Driving on the way to Daytona Beach from South Florida; found this little gem! It's not much to look at on the outside, but the name enticed us, so we came in and wowza, good food and amazing friendly, down home customer service. I had an omelet with cheese, mushrooms, & onions. It was probably the best omelet I've ever had! Cheesy & delicious! Large portion too! I also had fresh fruit & the strawberry-bran muffin on the side. (I opted for the strawberry-bean over the blueberry because it sounded healthier.). My husband had a pastrami sandwich & he said it was very yummy as well. We are not in Indiatlantic often, but I would highly recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. read more

The food was perfectly average, but I'm giving this restaurant only 2 stars. When I walked in, I asked the hostess for a table for 2 because I was meeting a friend for breakfast who was running a few minutes late. The restaurant was less than half full and there was not a line of people waiting for a table. The hostess said she couldn't seat me "until my entire party arrived." I would understand this if I had a large party, but only 1 other person was coming. Even if she had stood me up, presumably I would have been sat at a table that could have seated 2 people. I thought it was a bit ridiculous that I had to wait out front just to sit and order breakfast at a small table for 2 that I could have been at the whole time even if I dined alone. We just had two delicious breakfast. Blueberry cakes. Eggs, beacon and coffee. We were referred by a local and was told the grilled blueberry muffins were the best. We also had a blueberry muffin to go and it was really good. Will ge tomorrow morning as well with coffee. The staff was very friendly and engaging and the owner was very friendly and informative. Cute little cafe. Their menu is quite diverse, as they offer breakfast and lunch. We arrived just before one o'clock. They close at two. The servers were all wearing masks, except our waitress, Dawn. Don't know why she wasn't wearing one. Husband wanted a pastrami sandwich. We passed up several other restaurants because we saw their menu on yelp and he really wanted a pastrami sandwich. When he ordered it, she said they didn't have any pastrami. He had a back up plan though! He ordered the patty melt. He said it was okay. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich. It was really good! Average food. VERY SMALL portions. I ordered the BLT and quite literally it looked like half a normal size sandwich. I would have probably needed to order 3 of them to match any other restaurants BLT. The cashier was also taking table orders and actually was on the phone while taking a table order. The muffins were pretty good and service was spectacular! My Dad mentioned the eggs sucking at Cracker Barrel and the owner jumped up to make sure we were ok and that our food tasted right and good. She explained they had a new cook and was worried we wouldn't get what we ordered. We did. potatoes were delicious, eggs came out as cooked as requested and bacon was crispy. The grits had no flavor and butter and salt wasn't helping it. The coffee wasn't fresh but overall it was a fine meal. I've eaten here a bunch of times over the years. A great place for breakfast with a specialty in very fresh muffins. The staff is very friendly as can be expected with most restaurants in Melbourne. The French Toast is excellent! I uploaded a few pics. The restaurant is less than 3 minutes from the beach so it's a great place to stop in on the way out for a day in the sun. We waited for a long time to sit down but the wait was more than worth it! On New Year's Day, this was one of the only options available in the area. Our server recognized how long we had waited and brought out fresh, hot, delicious muffins while we perused the menu. Everyone seems to love this place. I just have one thing to say: if you order the Eggs Benedict with Crab Cakes, you will NOT get crab cakes. You will get cheap fake seafood made of starch and pulverized white fish shaped and cured to resemble crab. That should be disclosed on the menu. But it's not. I have been here a few times. Food is good and prices are very reasonable. Not sure I'll be back. I stopped in for a late breakfast around 12:30PM. The crowd was light and staff was friendly as always. After I placed my order on of the staff began vigorously sweeping the carpet in the back section of the restaurant. This was kicking up dust and the ceiling fans were running. Within 1 minute I began to cough, my eyes began to water, and I began to have nasal congestion. Yes, an allergy attack. I'm a physician so I could only guess what I was breathing in and what was landing in my coffee and soon to be on my food. It was disgusting. She stopped before my food arrived and I rationalized that the airborne particles had probably cleared but I was kidding myself. In this age of pandemic what are they thinking! I picked up muffins for work and got 4 blueberry and 2 orange cranberry muffins. The cranberry muffins tasted like corn bread and tried. Hardly any cranberry or orange taste, and these are my favorite. Very disappointing won't go again read more

This was one of my favorite restaurants but today's experience left a very bad impression. We ordered the quiche and asked if we could have something besides the potatoes or grits. The server said we could have fruit instead. She did not say FOR AN UPCHARGE YOU CAN GET FRUIT. When our bill came, we realized that's exactly what she did. We mentioned it to her and suggested she use the words ''for an upcharge' and not 'instead of'.' She apologized and we went to pay. The cashier then charged us MORE than what was clearly marked on the menu IWhen we pointed out that the menu said differently she said well that's how the system totals it. Several times it was pointed out that the charge was not the same on the menu, she continued to say it's the system. She then admitted it was wrong but charged us anyway. Seriously? I don't care if it's less than a dollar. When you KNOW you're overcharging the customer you need to correct it. Fix the problem and treat the customer with respect. The customer chose your restaurant. This customer will never choose to go to your restaurant again. If you choose to go, check your bill-though don't expect them to correct it if it's wrong. read more

I tend to read only positive reviews, unless the writer has written at length, which to me, means they feel strongly, and I'm willing to read what they say. Words have meaning. When a reviewer uses "sucks" my perception is that person's narrative, written on a 5th grade level (I'm being generous here) can't be taken seriously. That being said... I have enjoyed breakfast here for many years. Coffee? I asked, it's Royal Cup, most enjoyable. Mask wearing by employees? Not so much recently...but a call ahead to any restaurant would tell you that, and if you are immune-compromised, that would be prudent... Absolutely 500% worth the wait. They move quickly so don't let the line discourage you - we wait because it's amazing. Portions are just right, everything cooked exactly as you want even if you're a little high maintenance. Red flannel hash is to DIE for and they keep the coffee hot and constant. Never got lower than a half cup. I think people get put off that the servings are "smaller". I love the idea of no waste. I clear my plate and I am FULL. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. I really can't think of a better type of breakfast spot. I feel like here if something came out not perfect they would fix it in a jiffy and with a smile. After driving by here a couple of times, I decided to give this place a try. I usually see the parking lot full and today was no exception. We entered and were seated after a short wait. My wife ordered a blueberry muffin since we thought that might be their specialty. However, it was on the dry side and very little blueberry flavor to it. I ordered a gyro and it was just ok. It looked like prepackaged gyro meat and had very little flavor but the tzatziki sauce was decent as was the lettuce and tomatoes. Service was on the slow side but adequate since they were busy. If I could give 0 starts I would. Used to love this place but seeing the disgusting state of this restaurant I will never be coming back. As someone who has had family die directly from Covid, it is extremely offensive to be greeted by a coughing waitress. No social distancing at all, no masks, no sanitizing or washing hands at all. Let me start by saying I have never written a negative review. This place had the worst waitress I have EVER witnessed. We came in around noon wanting some brunch and thought we would give Blueberry Muffin a shot. We had two adults and two children in our party. The waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink. I said I wanted a Pepsi and my wife asked for a larger cup of water with lemon. The waitress said, "I'll just bring a pitcher" and walked away. She didn't ask what the kids wanted to drink or bring them silverware. When she returned we told her we wanted chocolate milk and sprite for the kids. She brought two, to-go coffee cups with coffee lids. We had to ask for straws and she acted offended. They have no kids menu and two plates came out dirty. She brought extra plates out and they had dried ketchup on it. Now to the food. My crab cakes Benedict was actually pretty good. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich which wasn't flavorful and was very salty tasting. I gave my food 4 stars and my wife's a 1 star. We never had a refill offered, asked if we needed anything, and when we did try to ask for something she ignored us and walked away. She not only didn't ask us if we needed anything but she wouldn't give us the opportunity/chance to ask for anything (for example to let us order drinks for our kids). Did she just assume they weren't eating or drinking anything?! :/ At end of the meal the waitress started to act friendly. She took away plates and asked how the food was. I ALWAYS leave a tip. My husband and I went to this lovely restaurant for breakfast while we were in town. Our server was Jessie and she was very friendly. She provided us with excellent service and made us feel so welcomed. The restaurant is really cute. It has blue and white checkered walls with lace curtains and the food is hometown delicious. I had the blueberry pancake, which was as big as a plate and very tasty. My husband had an omelette and it was made perfectly. He particularly enjoyed the rye bread that came with his omelette. The prices are reasonable and the size of the portions are good. Great place to have breakfast. We also bought a couple of blueberry muffins to go and they were moist and delicious. We got them hot right out of the oven and it was really hard to resist the urge to eat them on the way back to our hotel. My husband and I decided to try the Blueberry Muffin after several good reviews here. We went for breakfast. The building is pretty plain on the outside, and the decor on the inside had some grandma-style charm to it. The place was pretty busy for 9am on a Tuesday. We were seated promptly and received hot, fresh coffee within minutes of sitting down. The service was quick and efficient. My husband had the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, which appeared to have fresh strawberries. I had the eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. We both tried the blueberry muffins (how can you not, when eating at a place called the Blueberry Muffin!). They came warm served with butter and tasted wonderful! The breakfast itself was satisfying, well made and tasty. For science, my husband and I both had a slice of pie, he had apple and I had...wait for it...blueberry. Both were pretty good, I don't know if they're fresh or frozen or perhaps a little of both, but the pie was fine. We had a very good experience at the Blueberry Muffin and will definitely be returning - for breakfast at the very least - if not to try the lunch fare. UPDATE: 09/02/08 Went to the Blueberry Muffin again for breakfast. Again, on a Tuesday morning, not too many people there. However, this time, the service was pretty crummy. Our waitress forgot my OJ, brought the wrong muffin, and took a long time to bring the food out (not busy in the place). I know that last one may not have been her fault. The food was pretty mediocre this visit, I had the eggs benedict with crab cake, which I thought was pretty good, but my husband (again) had the belgian waffle with strawberries. The strawberries looked pretty old. The muffins also weren't as (fresh?) as they were before, kinda dry and bland. I wonder if we just happened to hit them up on a bad day, or if the first time we went was a fluke? We'll have to return for one more trip sometime soon. I'll update then.
