    When I brought in my Lucky they was the kindness staff. My Lucky was dying they was so gentle with him.The Dr explain everything to us. They gave us time to make our decision..Maybe I should of went there first beside going to the vet. Thank you Bluepearl I know Lucky went to sleep peacefully. We love you Lucky

    Grayboy recovering after VERG was able to save his life as Blue Pearl "emergency hospital" had no surgeon.

    I am very concerned about the current level of services available at this facility, particularly given that it is marketed as an emergency hospital. My local veterinarian informed me that my cat was in critical condition and likely needed emergency surgery immediately. When I mentioned BluePearl as an option, they advised me to call ahead before going, as they often do not have a surgeon available. I followed that advice and called BluePearl directly. I was told that while some support services may be available, there was no surgeon present. In a true emergency, this level of uncertainty is very concerning for a facility that presents itself as an emergency hospital. Pet owners reasonably assume that critical services such as emergency surgery are consistently available, and that assumption does not reflect reality here. In my cat's case, this involved an internal rupture, a time-sensitive, life-threatening situation, where delays were not an option. My cat was literally bleeding out internally, and I don't want to even think about the potential consequences had I gone to BluePearl first, only to find out they actually don't have a capable doctor working. Emergency veterinary care depends on having confidence that essential services will be available when needed. Based on my experience, that expectation was not met. I am sharing this so other pet owners are aware and can verify their limitations before going in during an emergency, rather than assuming that BluePearl will be able to provide emergency services.

    I am glad that the visit went by super quick. My dog is anxious and loud, that could've contributed to it. My provider was knowledgeable and informative. I don't like how my bill was so much. Especially for an echocardiogram, I looked up online and most places in NYC charge way less. I had a concern for my dog so I was willing to get all the test he needed. Also, they did treat my dog with care and that's important as we know. It's also a hospital, so I am aware those can cost a lot.

    How much is euthanasia on a 20 pound 13 year old dog who is very sick?

    The cost should not matter but it'll be more expensive here than a primary vet.

    What happens if i found a dog in the street ....can i give it to this place? Someone tell me asap thanks i greatly appreciate it.

    This is an ER, I would bring it to a vet and have it scanned. After that they'd know what to recommend.

Every doctor that we have seen here has been absolutely great, patient, caring and took time to explain everything. They have gotten me in same day when last minute things pop up. I also love the waiting room, which is nice and open, so you are not sitting across from other dogs-- my dogs are a little reactive to other dogs and I like to grab the far corner and keep their focus off of the other dogs coming and going. I totally trust them with my dogs, and trust their advice and recommendations. I also really appreciate that I can get the dogs nails cut here too.

I trust the doctor and the techs - they seem very genuine and are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Every time I've gone in, they address all my questions and make my little man very comfortable. Takeisha at the front desk is always so sweet. Price-wise, they may indeed be slightly higher than other places, especially within a bigger corps like Petco or PetSmart. And truly, I may change vets at some point, but for now and as a brand new puppy, I wanted to bring my fur baby to a good vet. For example, they quoted me $100+ for him getting microchipped and I wasn't about to pay that much. I ended up getting him microchipped for ~$40 (plus my breeder reimbursed me that amount, too). But again, I personally feel very comfortable and very happy with the service they provide here - though they are sometimes busy (and reply late to text messages) and not very flexible with scheduling (later hours). But if you're okay with that and able to be understanding, I think it's not that huge of a deal. Thank you Dr Russell and Austin Vet Care staff for taking such good care of my Odin!

I'm just wishing for a moment that I had immediately transferred my current dogs care to Mobile Vet upon my return to New York. ------* I've used Juniper Valley Vet & I couldn't be happier breaking from them.*------ Once we raised my 105 pound pittymix female to the examination table, Dr. Howard Nachamie cleaned the minor build-up on her eyes and ears with his bare hands, this made me very happy. He looked at her for a moment right in the eyes before sticking a thermometer up her butt. I believe they both looked at each other as if to say "I'm comfortable with you." The examination results and options to be considered were well explained and easy to make a decision upon. Mobile Vet has a tremendous reputation in the neighborhood and Dr. Howard is a well respected man of the community. Just to draw upon a quick example, a friend lost her dog a year back. She was frantic & she printed up Reward -Lost Dog- flyers. Mobile Vet gladly posted the flyer and upon the dogs discovery was returned to their office. Upon which time Mobile Vet reached back out to the owner and reunited the family.

    This isn't going to be a short review because the list of things that shouldn't have happened is a…read morelong one. I brought my CeCe for a check up on June 16th because she had been eating poorly, loosing weight and having less energy for a couple of weeks. 11 days later she was gone. Had she received the treatments she needed and none of what she didn't need, she would still be alive today. Before her blood tests results were even known, and confirmed advanced stage of kidney disease, Dr. Ueda had decided to treat my cat with a concoction of an aggressive parasite treatment, and an undisclosed antibiotic - "just in case" - without any symptoms calling for its use. Had I been told about the common side effects of both medications (NexGard Combo and Convenia), I would have never given consent to have either one of them used on my cat. Dr. Ueda failed to obtain an informed consent from me, and under the guise of "making my cat feel better" treated her with two substances that were guaranteed to worsen the very symptoms I came to seek treatment for. Afterwards, when my cat's condition did worsen - she became completely letargic and anorexic - and I couldn't afford the recommended $7000 hospitalization, I asked for home palliative care options. All I was sent away with were subcutaneous fluids, phosphate binder (Epakitin) that was supposed to be given with food, and a transdermal appetite stimulant (Mirataz) that the vet herself admitted wouldn't work. Neither nausea nor pain medication were prescribed, which essentially meant my non-eating cat was left to starve to death. She couldn't eat because the uremic toxins in her body caused extreme nausea and painful ulcers. Yet, at first, I was told she couldn't be nauseous because she wasn't actively vomiting. My request for a pain medication was also denied supposedly because Dr. Ueda didn't notice any ulcers - how could she though, if she never even finished checking my cat's mouth. Later on I was told that these safe liver-metabolized medications (like Cerenia or Buprenorphine), commonly prescribed to cats with kidney disease, couldn't be given to my cat because they would "further strain her compromized kidneys." And that was not only a blatant lie, but it also made for a most ridiculous excuse since two harsh systemic medications that are specifically kidney-metabolized had been administered or dispensed to my cat just a few days prior, without blinking an eye. In reply to my final plea for a pain medication to ease my dying CeCe's suffering, l was rushed (because they were closing soon) to bring her in for a euthanasia estimated at $500-700 even though I explained she was in no condition to be moved. No other options were offered or suggested. Nobody who truly loves animals would have done or let any of this happen. Stay away from this place. These "nice people" are only after your money.
