I first brought my girl here after she ended up in the ER from her last vets malpractice. My Sphynx cat was sick her first five years of life with her last vet, IBD, pancreatitis, the beginning of kidney disease.. so many failed diets test and treatments, on a high dose of prednisolone.... When I got to Dr pet daddy the Dr there listened to me and read up on my cats long extensive history.. over the last year we managed to lower her dose of steroids to a very small dose and have her on the correct food for her IBD. She always needed to be on the Veterinary prescription diet which Dr pet daddy started immediately. Her b12'was low we gave her shots which stabilized the vitamin in her system over a 4 month period. Incredible!!! Her skin has cleared up, hives and rashes gone away.. and she has been in the best stable state she has ever been in. She's thriving. She isn't suffering daily or crying to poop. Her IBD is under control and Her most recent bloodwork is the BEST it's ever been in her life. I am so grateful. My girl suffered for 5 years at an another vet who manipulated my love to do anything for my girl and saw her and I as dollar signs. I'm so grateful to have found Dr pet daddy who is modest and cares about your animal. I also have been taking my puppy to there since June 2024. I've always had a great experience. They respond quick to emails and texts and the front staff is always very helpful. They have had the same vet assistant since I brought them in and he is so great at assisting the Dr and calming your animal down during exams and treatments. They saw me the day after I called and gave me ointment for my cat's ear, that was great. But they then also cut her nails too short so she was bleeding! They charged me $40 for that! When I mentioned to them in a follow-up email that this did not seem reasonable, their response was that it happens and, "It may be worth considering having this service done at a groomer going forward." read more

I am shocked. I just went in for a routine exam and it turned into a $575 visit. Ummm hello. routine exam. To walk in the door, $70, seems reasonable. They then charged me extra for a 'senior' profile and this alone cost $365, additional $40 for urine test. On top of them asking me to leave the exam room while they examined him. Why. Ironically it says how transparent they are there site but my experience is they were not transparent for their prices and their interactions with my cat. They should of ask me if i wanted an additional $400 exam. read more

Office is rude and unprofessional and, if given the chance, will try to over-bill you. I brought by cat in once in the summer of 2022 and have not been back since. I've got to think there are much better, kinder, honest vet practices in Astoria or nearby. My dog has been a patient there since he was a baby. I noticed he was having loose stool so I brought him in. The doctor said he couldn't get a blood test from him because he was squirming... he suggested I sedate him before the following visit because he was too incompetent to draw blood. I came in the next day and dropped off a stool sample. After over a week of not hearing from them, I called to ask and the secretary said, "oh we left u a message that his stool was positive for worms. You can come pick up the medicine..." I told her I didn't receive any message but she didn't seem to care. Fast forward about two months later and my dog isn't eating or drinking water. I called the office and the girl said, "doctor is booked until next week." I explained to her that this isn't a well visit it's a sick visit and she replied, "take him to the ER." I asked for the doctor to call me, of course he didn't. I went over to bond veterinarian in Williamsburg, got a same day appointment, they took care of my baby, AND TOOK BLOOD without any issue, b12, hydration and antacid. My dog feels much better and is eating normally. And they didn't kill us in fees either. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Pet daddy under any circumstances after this experience. They'll gladly take your money and create additional charges out if thin air, but when your dog is actually sick they refuse to see them and compound the pain by acting nonchalant and borderline nasty. read more

I started going to Dr. Pet Daddy a little over a year ago. I have 3 dogs - two large breed and one small breed. My pit and my chihuahua are a little nervous at the vet. I can't say enough about how great Dr. Yoo and his assistants are with my dogs. They always do a great job handling them and helping them feel more comfortable. I've had a great experience every time I have been there. Dr. Yoo always takes his time to explain everything to me, as well as answer all my questions patiently. I never feel like they are trying to upsell me on anything which is refreshing compared to some experiences I've had. And Dr. Pet daddy is much more personal experience and better pricing than other vets I have been to in Astoria. The receptionists have always been very friendly and helpful as well. Great atmosphere and clean. And I really like that his exam room is all glass so you can see your pup while he's getting examined. Very nice feature with COVID safety protocols. My last vet would take the dogs in and then call, which felt very impersonal. I highly recommend! read more

Felt secure with regards to covid. Nice and friendly staff. Honestly, I felt like I was just a walking wallet. Very quick exam. Did not cut the nails as requested due to my cat hissing etc. My cat does not like to have his nails cut (but whose cat does?).. this just was not a good fit for my pet. I am writing this to share my experience in hopes that NO ONE will be given a similar treatment to me and my dog. Last winter my dog started to get swollen joints in 1 of his front legs. I was a bit alarmed by it because he is a 90lb dog. With that being said, I decided to take him to dr. Yoo for a visit to see if there was any type of issue beyond some swelling. At first dr. Yoo gave me some sort of an anti-inflammatory and said try this out and sent me on out the door to go about my day. A week or 2 later I noticed it was not getting any better; nor worse, so I decided to make another follow up to get some xrays to see if it were more of an issue. Instead of doing what any doctor would do, take xrays, he decided to tell me that my dog will need surgery immediately before he has a worse issue build up. I freaked out when he said it was going to be around $8000 for something that didn't seem to be that serious. I decided to wait it out and a few weeks later, the swelling went down, my dog became COMPLETELY normal again, and a year later he is totally himself. I'm only sharing this because if you are like me, and love your animals, you will do ANYTHING to make sure they are happy and healthy. I was tempted to jump into the surgery and let him do his thing, but now I can say I am forever thankful that I did not. Dr. Yoo just seemed happy to throw a price onto anything and see what happens with it. Stay away ... there's a reason for all of the distasteful reviews you see on here. Went once for a free first visit, to get an opinion for my cat that needed a teeth cleaning. As part of the exam, the vet correctly diagnosed a digestive issue but didn't recommend a treatment. (It became a problem about one year later.) For the teeth, he suggested my cat might need at least two teeth, maybe 3 pulled. This was before X-rays. His assistant handled my cat by grabbing her by the scruff of the neck. I thought that was a unnecessarily aggressive. My cat was calm the entire time, never hissed or growled, and didn't try to get away. This is a cat that never gives anyone problems. I don't know if the vet techs there are not properly trained, or simply uncomfortable around cats, but I was very turned off by that treatment. When I told him that was ok, he seemed to kind of stormed out in a huff. I didn't make another appointment. The office was very clean, the receptionist seemed stressed and short-tempered. Dr. Pet Daddy is great. I was honestly a little hesitant at first to bring my 2 cats to him with some of the reviews on here claiming he has bad bedside manner but he was very kind and so was the vet tech. I think some people get so emotional about their pets they don't always think with logic... Just because someone is upfront with you doesn't mean they don't care. Also, I was very worried that my two cats who can get very aggressive would not do well and they did great. It is commonplace for vets to grab the area behind the neck on a cat, people. It doesn't hurt them but it sure does help both the vet and the vet tech not get bit... Even if your cat is super nice and friendly they might act very differently if they're getting a shot! Only reason I might take off a star is because they said both my cats need to lose weight and I like my chonky cats. But the vet tech is pretty cute so that bumps it back up to 5 stars. read more

I've had pets my entire life and interacted with many veterinarians before. I am actually a clinician myself and work as a PA in the ER. Dr. Pet Daddy is RUDE and lacks compassion and bedside manner. I feel like every time I am in his office I see dollar signs in his eyes. He is only interested in increasing your bill as much as possible, he could care less about your pet. My first terrible interaction occurred after my dog was spade. I attached a picture of my dog's post surgical scar after being spade at his office. He gave her a post-op cone that was too small for her. She was able to lick her scar and it got infected. I ended up treating her myself by removing the stitches and applying a topical antibiotic to her wound which took another month to heal. A typical visit to this office will start with you checking in with a very pleasant secretary. Then you will be called into the examination room by the vet technician who is also a very pleasant, young hispanic male. You will interact with the vet technician mostly. Dr. Pet Daddy will enter the room without even saying hello. He will ask his assistant what is going on (not you) and then begin ordering things on the computer. In my most recent visit, he medicated my dog with two injections without even telling me what they were for or what she had. I had to say, "Excuse me what is that?!?" He answered me WHILE he was injecting the medication into my dog and mumbled "gastritis" as a diagnosis. Then he insisted I purchase medication that I have at home. When I refused, he walked out of the room with a terrible attitude and the secretary slapped me with a bill for $260.00 (which included the unnecessary medications and tests). I refused the unnecessary treatment and ended up paying a total of $128.00. The last two times I went to his office I promised myself that I would never go back. I started going to PetCo for my dog's vaccines which is very reasonably priced and the vets there are very sweet. The only reason why I went back to Dr. Pet Daddy this last time was because my dog was vomiting for a week. I was worried and desperate. He preys on animal owners in these situations. He sees it as an ideal opportunity to make money. He doesn't care about your pet. DO NOT GO TO THIS VET!!! read more

I hate to make a bad review for a vet because I know that it's a notoriously stressful profession, but I don't trust them with the health of my dog and would like to give others the warning. One of the first times I went there they charged me for a health certificate...with someone else's personal information on it - a blatant violation of privacy. I was annoyed, but figured mistakes happen and let it go. This week I brought my dog in for vaccinations and she had a severe reaction and we had to go back twice for treatment. They charged me an office fee more than once and when I asked what other symptoms would constitute an emergency after hours all I got was "it depends." Then they tried to blame one of her symptoms on her diet when it was explicitly clear that is was another side effect of the vaccines. After the third visit I called her old vet (we only changed due to moving away) who helped me so much more over the phone for free. Perhaps I was spoiled by her old vet, but i just don't trust this one. Enough so that I'll be making the 90+ minute commute to her old vet for any future needs. If you do decide to go, make sure you ask for an itemized bill before you swipe your card and read it thoroughly. They love to just tell you a number and expect you to pay without questioning it. Also check your discharge instructions because they're usually not even relevant to what you came in for. read more

I was very skeptical about coming here at first. I saw other reviews and was scared to bring my dog here for vaccinations. Like most pet owners my dogs my baby so I was very cautious on what vet to go to. The office itself is very clean. The front desk staff are very friendly and so are the technicians. When we first got there they put us in the room and the technician was waiting for us. He asked the usual questions and I made sure I stated what vaccines I wanted for my pup. They assured me that it was all in there system and that is all they would give him. Dr. Yoo is very friendly and handled my dog gently when it came to giving the vaccines. My dog is an energetic and nervous dog so he was very jumpy when it came to getting the shot. They finished the vaccines within a couple minutes and that was it. They weren't very pushy on other vaccines or testing, just recommended. Yes the price ended up being a little steep for all the vaccinations but I would rather pay more and know I'm getting a good veterinarian than pay less and be a little iffy. And ending on a good note maybe it's just my dog but we went home and he was a little sluggish but by the end of the night he was back to his normal self. I highly recommend this vet and I will be coming back for any other veterinarian concerns. ( let's hope there is none) read more

Very Happy! When I first moved to Astoria I went to Astoria Vet because friends of mine from Astoria go there.But after 2 1/2 yrs I was not happy. Astoria vet offices are so run-down and dirty. The waiting area is small and is always packed, makes my dog nervous! And the people at the front desk are the worst! So unfriendly and miserable. I was always on time for my appointments, but I would have to stand at the front desk at least 10mins before anyone would acknowledge me. My appointments never started at the time they were scheduled, always 30mins later,ridiculous! So this lead me to find another vet...my dog groomer mention Dr. Pet Daddy so I tried it out and LOVE it!. The offices are so clean and the waiting area is not packed! The front desk people are always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Yoo explains pricing on everything. My dog was having bad itching/allergies and he suggested trying an allergy pill, apoquel. Astoria vet kept giving my dog steroids for a few weeks but never suggested anything for long term and my dog gained weight from the steroids.So far I am very happy with Dr. Yoo and his staff. read more

Since I wrote my first review a few weeks ago, two pet parents shared with me their most recent experiences with Dr. Yoo. These experiences, along with others spoken for on Yelp, clearly share a pattern of behavior by Dr. Yoo that demonstrates a blatant disregard for pet parents' feelings and his treatment of/for their pets. As pet parents come forward and share their experiences and information with me, with their permissions and not mentioning names, I am going to continue to update my review. Here are summaries of the two experiences shared: - Pet parents brought their dog in for a checkup. Dr. Yoo acted cold/ unattached and at one point during the exam he grabbed their dog with such force that the dog actually yelped in pain. When one of the pet parents said "take it easy", he just glared at them in total disregard or acceptance for what he did to the dog or how it affected the pet parents or the dog. They told me they will never go back. - Another pet parent told me he was never going back because he said Dr. Yoo had absolutely no "bedside manner" with his dog and got visibly offended when asked any questions. This pet parent felt that Dr. Yoo was only concerned about charging for unnecessary testing instead of addressing the concerns of the pet parent. ************* I can no longer in good conscience recommend Dr. Pet Daddy (Dr. Yoo) to any pet parent. I initially started going to Dr. Pet Daddy (Dr. Yoo) when he first opened because I liked his setup, the fact that he was a lone practitioner with one tech (Lewis) and one receptionist (Stephanie), and he seemed very knowledgeable and wiling to provide great care. I was impressed enough with my own experiences that I began to recommend him to other pet parents. But over time, particularly during 2018 and this year, I have been getting some really negative feedback which prompted me to go back on Yelp and have a look at recent reviews. Needless to say, the reviews I read confirmed what I was told. I would like to specifically reference the March and April 2019 reviews left by Ny'ker and Arthur S. and Chris T. in December 2018, regarding Dr. Pet Daddy (Dr. Yoo). You are not alone in your experiences. Other pet parents I have spoken with have had same or similar experiences, and so have I. The responsibility of any Vet is to, first and foremost, LISTEN to the concerns of the pet parent, do a thorough exam of the pet and share his/her thoughts about how to move forward. However, ultimately, it is up to the pet parent to make the final decisions about how to move forward. So if a pet parent wants a more comprehensive exam or testing and/or treatment, then the Vet should do it. For some pet parents, including myself, it has become clear that Dr. Yoo's attitude towards pet parents has become arrogant, cocky and disrespectful and his behavior reflects that the only thoughts and opinions he pays attention to are his own. As a result, pet parents are left frustrated, upset and often having to go to another vet and get treatment and spend more money. It is difficult enough for a pet parent to see their pet(s) suffering. But for Dr. Yoo to ignore the concerns of a pet parent and NOT consider moving ahead with a pet parent's care/treatment requests and, instead, state his GENERALIZED assessment and let it go at that is unacceptable, unprofessional and should never happen. The idea that any pet has to suffer unnecessary because of Dr. Yoo's unprofessional, uncaring practices is despicable. But this been the experience, more than a few times, of more than a few pet parents and their pets. As of this week, I have gone back to Dr. Smith at Astoria Veterinary Group. She is a fabulous Vet. She is Dr. Pet Daddy's polar opposite. Her love for animals and giving them the best care possible is palpable. Her respect for pet parents is obvious in the way she speaks and DISCUSSES in great detail what is going on with each pet so, TOGETHER, she and pet parents can make the best decision for the care/treatment of a pet. To be completely transparent, when Dr. Pet Daddy opened, I left Astoria Veterinary Group because of the past unpleasant front desk experiences and the less than professional/respectful way the front desk personnel acted. However, I went back to Astoria Veterinary Group yesterday and my experience was great. I am very happy to say that the staff they now have at the front desk could not be more helpful and the overall experience was very pleasant and professional. To all Pet Parents - Always remember, your voice is the ONLY voice that matters. Don't ever be reluctant to ask any questions and expect answers that make sense to you. Regardless of who your Vet is, make sure any treatment given to your pet is with your consent based on your belief that it is best route to take. If in doubt, don't do it and get a second opinion. This vet is totally just about money. I get that I have to keep bringing my dog back to see if the meds prescribed is working etc. However to what end? $300.00+ every two weeks and on my last visit a $50.00 shampoo appears. Obviously by now we can see the progress of the meds. I can't afford in the times we live in now to have no pet insurance and keep giving this guy money all the time. So I relayed this to his receptionist and she calls me back to say I cannot pickup my meds unless I bring my dog in. The best part in the vet didn't have the decency to call me back himself and address my concerns. This is not the first bad experience I've had here but it's definitely my last. read more

Up until last year when I had my old dog, I was going to Astoria Vet. When she got sick and then passed away last October, I had a very bad experience with the aforementioned vet. When we got Mercedes, I knew that I did not want to go back to them, so I looked around for another vet. I think I found Dr. Pet Daddy through yelp reviews. No one I knew had even heard of the place but the reviews were enough to make me try them out. I'm glad I did because it has pretty much been the best vet experience I've ever had. I've never had a dog who actually loved going to the vet as I do now, and I believe in part, it's because of Dr. Pet Daddy's great set up. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes to see Dr. Yoo, even when I've gotten there a few minutes early. Stephanie, Luis and Dr. Yoo are all amazing. This is our local vet. Our rescue came home with a fractured leg so he'd needed a lot of care every week-bandage changes. Dr.Yoo and his vet tech were so caring and patient with our dog who is kind of a dramatic and anxious little guy. Dr.Yoo and his team even offered our pups final bandage removal and ointment free of charge. This is a great local business and we love that they are here. read more

We brought two Kittens in Dr too. They haven't or had any food or water two days , vomited blood, had diarrhea w blood & this genius didn't do blood tests or administer sub cutaneous fluids!! Charged us $700! Gave some meds& said they'll be fine!! Bullshit! I've had cats for years& just spoke to another vet! They should have run more tests& given fluids! This place is AMAZING! My sister shipped her cat from Hong Kong to NYC and it was my job to cat sit for her. I've NEVER owned a cat before so it was very overwhelming! When she got off the plane, she had developed an eye infection so I frantically searched for a vet in the neighborhood. I found Dr Pet Daddy on Yelp and saw all the good reviews, so I took her there right away. Dr. Yoo and Louis and everyone there are AMAZING. They were very understanding and flexible and treated Miss Grumpy with the utmost care. They answered all of my questions and really helped calm my nerves. I ended up having to go back 3 times for various issues and they were wonderful each and every time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They really care for the animals as if they were their own pets and it really shows. They also aren't the kind of place to nickel and dime you. They presented treatment options and costs very clearly and were open and honest about everything regarding billing and I really appreciated that. The facilities are wonderful - very bright and clean and calm, another added bonus! All in all, I would come here even if I didn't live in the neighborhood. They really are that good! I highly recommend Dr Pet Daddy. We've been bringing our French Bulldogs here for 5 years now. The doctor is very knowledgeable and kind, and he's the only Dr here which is awesome. Other places we've been have 4/5 drs and it's frustrating explaining any on going issues over and over to new drs...but not here. The support staff is great as well. Both the male technician and the front desk are always helpful and kind. I've had to make same day appointments a few times and they've managed to squeeze me in when my dog was sick. It's very clean and modern and up to date with testing etc. Overall a great place with great staff. read more

Dr. Yoo's bedside manner started to change and got mean when I began asking question such as, why does he wish to give my cat the FVRCP and Rabies shots every year when it is good for 3 years and over vaccination is detrimental to a cat's health.  At the start of a recent appt, Dr. Yoo rudely stopped me from talking and asked the Vet Tech what was wrong with MY cat.  Dr. Yoo also does not strike me as someone who knows much about cats and seems afraid of them.  He handles my cat as least as possible and started to leave in the middle of our appt's.  Keep in mind, Dr. Yoo's appt's are only 10-15 min long.  Once, Dr. Yoo left only to return and suggest unnecessary x-ray's on a gastro issue.  Meanwhile, it is common for a KD cat to eat less, refuse food or vomit.  Dr. Yoo should have known this and could have prescribed medication, supplements or antacid accordingly.  Instead, Dr. Yoo quickly ordered a full round of tests and suggested costly x-ray's for an additional $350-$400. Dr. Yoo likes to run many tests but does not follow-up and provide proper treatment.  Sometimes, I don't even get a call after an appointment and would have to call and ask for the lab results.  Dr. Yoo is quick to give shots and charge and doesn't observe or check out my cat before doing so.  It's an automatic "go-to" for him.  He also does not care to explain anything during the appt prior to doing something or after.  Plus, Dr. Yoo's practice is outrageously pricey and he seems unhappy if you decline the additional tests he's wants to do.  But everytime I leave this place, I fell like I, "got my ass handed to me" and was overcharged.  Our appt's are $300-$400 plus, at 10-15 min long.  In following Dr. Yoo's directive on a KD diet, our cat got worse.  In addition, Dr. Yoo had prescribed conflicting meds and made our cat cry and shake in fear.  I hope to find another vet.  Please contact me if you know of a good vet for cats because I don't know how Dr. Yoo can live with himself the way he prices and mistreat or barely treats our loving pets. read more

I normally do not write reviews but after reading some of the recent reviews, I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Yoo. We've been with Dr. Yoo for around two years now. On our very first visit Dr. Yoo was able to correctly diagnose and treat our dog Coby after going to multiple veterinarians nearby with no resolution. I always felt that he gets a thorough history and does a proper physical exam. We always felt that he listens to our needs and helps us make an informed decision. Cost wise I always felt the fees are reasonable and cheaper than most veterinarians. The staff are super friendly, the clinic is clean and modern with no wait times, and rarely does the office gets crowded (probably due to the small size of the clinic and the way they arrange the appointment times). read more

I don't understand all the reviews saying this place has reasonable prices. We spent $1000 on annual checkups and shots for our 2 chihuahuas, which is outrageous. The dogs were given "senior profile" exams, the cost of which was NOT explained to be substantially more than regular exams, and was billed as being "all inclusive" but turned out not to be (we were still charged for other tests.) $1,000 for yearly checkups and shots is by no means reasonable. I'll be searching for a new vet. read more

Dr. Yoo is amazing. One of my cats is FIV+, and he took so much time explaining to me what is necessary for me to do and what is 'too much'. I feel like he is very knowledgeable and reliable. All the staff are so nice and very polite! They are always very welcoming and also helpful to your animals :) The place is clean and also nicely organized. Like other people have mentioned, he has almost no bedside manner, almost to the point of rudeness. I came from a warm and friendly vet, so this was a big shock. I also felt like he wanted to charge a lot for a lot of tests instead of solving the problem as inexpensively as possible. I left with $200 less and zero answers. When I voiced my concerns, the answer was to bring my cat back in (and cause more stress from uprooting her from home) and do even more tests, instead of doing those tests the first time I came into the office. I don't feel comfortable bringing my cat back based off reading other people's similar experiences, and I definitely don't think their four star average accurately reflects recent reviews. read more

When it matters, and your pet is ill, don't rely on this practice. I have been taking my toy poodle here for a few years and for things like scheduled appointments, (vaccines, check ups) sure they check the box. But my 121/2 year old tiny dog became very ill after taking a medication prescribed by this doctor and I really wanted my primary vet to take care of her. The young girl who answers the phone has basically zero compassion and should not be working with animals. I had to fight her to speak to the doctor despite telling her it's an emergency and after she rudely told me "his schedule is full and he will talk to you when he talks to you." When you're freaking out because your dog has been puking for 3 days and is becoming lethargic, you'd think she would show some concern or try to help! No. first time I called we were out of town and yeah after being VERY direct about needing a call back, dr "pet daddy" called me and gave me some advice over the phone. Ok, I thought. He knows she's sick so when we get home they definitely should accommodate her. No. After that I came home and she was still sick... days later. I called their office EVERY DAY FOR A WEEK. Not only was I told the doctor can't see me, but there was no effort to even try to connect with me via phone and find out why she's still sick or try to squeeze us in or say "we can't see you but it sounds like X and you need to ask for X". The girl was like "I left him a sticky note." Can you imagine??? I found another NEW vet after calling everyone in the borough. Exhausting and stressful. We are working on her treatment plan and she's still sick. But at least my new doctor can ALWAYS see me, is concerned about my dog, is proactive about listening to me and goes out of his way to help me. He even cut her OTC meds for me because I was concerned about the dose. Don't expect to find that here. I'm disgusted. read more

Sasha and I love this team. The Dr & his assistant Luis are so kind, caring and patient. We moved out of the area but no other vet could handle my dog (she is strong) so we do not go anywhere else. The front desk lady is also very friendly and responsive to my emails. I have a 65 lbs dog who hates the vet & is super sensitive to needles & this is the only place that I am comfortable bringing her to. I highly recommend this place! Their prices are also very reasonable. They are actually cheaper than my small town vet's office in Connecticut. Thank you Dr Pet Daddy & team!! read more

I think I have to be one of his first customers. I've been taking my dog to him for years. I know she's a handful but,you knew the business before you became a vet,so deal with it. And deal with it Dr. Yoo DOES NOT!!! Not being able to draw blood or administer vaccinations is completely unacceptable!!! Telling me to drug my dog and bring her in is acceptable but doesn't work because dogs know where they are going and wake up as soon as they get to the office. I had an emergency while I was away and had to take my very senior pooch to an emergency hospital and they didn't have a problem taking her blood or giving her a sedative. Squirminess is inherent to your job!! Having the right assistants is also part of the job!! Also, when I reached out to him about my emergency, their office never reached back...and neither did Dr Yoo. I'm very very very disappointed with them. And now,at her age, I'm going to be looking for another vet. Run away from this office and this vet because they are ok,and I mean just ok, in the beginning,but god forbid your furry friend gets old, they will NOT receive the level of care or respect they deserve!!! read more

Dr. Yoo was so good to my new rescue dog! Because my rescue is new to New York, he gets a bit anxious around new people but Dr. Yoo and his staff were so gentle and kind to my new puppy and made him feel very relaxed during our visit. He also was really knowledgeable in informing us about what behavior to expect with our puppy and was also very responsive when we called with questions about our puppy. He also recommended us to a very great trainer who has helped my puppy adjust to living in the city! I would recommend Dr. Pet Daddy to anyone who has pets and would like a vet that is patient and kind! read more
