He was pleasant to talk to on the phone, and he even confirmed our appointment with a text, saying that I was on the calendar. On the day of our appointment, I called him earlier on to confirm our meeting, and he didn't answer. I sent him a text, and he didn't respond. Four minutes AFTER we were supposed to meet, he texts me, saying that his job was having problems, that he was running about an hour late, and that he could call me when finished to see if I was still available. I told him that I wanted him to call, and he agreed to do so. The work I need done is on a rental property. It's not my own home. As a consequence, I found myself sitting in an empty unit on a Friday night. Now, I guess if I was at my house I could take a nap, watch tv, do some chores, etc. However, this was not the case. I was sitting in an empty house by myself, with no furniture to even sit on. For an hour. On a Friday night. Actually, it was more than an hour. I waited 2.5 hours for Tom to call me, and he never did. The next day, I sent him a text in the morning asking if he was still interested in the job and if he could meet me at another time, or if his failure to call meant that he was not interested in the job. HOWEVER, Do NOT let him drill holes ANYWHERE!!!!! I wanted a recessed light. He couldn't install it; instead, he got a similar flush mount. It's been six days and countless hours of work... I don't have recessed lights. Instead, I have no fewer than 4 holes in my 2nd story hardwood floors (above the kitchen). His drill even went into a storage bin that I had in a closet (piercing the contents over and over). I have 5 gaping holes in my ceiling and am having to hire an electrician AND ANOTHER HANDYMAN to fix Tom's "work." Very sad. I kept giving him chance after chance, and all I got for it was hours and hours of wasted time waiting, a ruined floor, ruined ceiling, ruined computer monitor, ruined storage bin, and swiss cheesed keepsakes. #Sigh

I received a call from Mark AKA MOSHE RIBOH the owners from a cell number (818)970-0795. On the phone he seems to be very professional and very accommodating. I explain to him that I want it to refinish my hardwood floors before I move in and in addition I was painting the house. I was very clear that this need it to be done in time for my move on July 31, 2014. The original call took place 4 weeks before the death line and we met 10 days before. Once in the house Mark seems to be an okay man, he is over 55 seems to live in the area and had great reviews on Home Ad visors web site. Once at the house he told me that the floors could not be sanded down and refinish, however he could buff the floors and apply a new coat of Polyurethane and I was going to be 97% happy with the work. He mentioned that same of the scratches were too deep and most likely they were going to still be visible but the floors will look great and once again I was going to be 97% happy. The process took less than a day, he had two Hispanic guys working on the job, his only crew I find out latter. In addition I find out that they are acting as sub-contractors but they have no insurance or license and Mark the owner carries no workers Comp insurance ( all after the fact) I immediately notice two things, 1- the floors where way to shining and the smell was very, very bad. I questioned him on the two issues and he said that the shinning will go away once the floors get to dry and the smell will dissipate also. Three days later the painters moved in, Mark the owner of Finest Flooring Inc., told my painters that they need it to use special tape otherwise the tape will damage the floors. The painter got the special tape as per Mark's instructions and proceeded to do his job (great paint job, I will be writing a great review on them) We immediately notice that the coating applied by Mark and his crew was peeling off, yes Pilling Off like you peal a banana. I immediately call Mark and told him to come over and take a look, he come over and said that he need it to bring Alex ( the guys on the workers crew) I told him they need it to finish it and he said ok we will be back once they are finish. I said the crew will be finish by Thursday you need to get here right away I have movers coming on Friday. Thursday they didn't showed up, I call him and he Mark (his real name is MOSHE RIBOH) Said we are delay we be there at 7 pm. Long story short never showed up on Thursday, they were supposed to come in on Friday at 6.30am. 6.30 am come and went, they arrived at 7.30am, at that time I told them to remove this material from my floors, they started sanding the floors and that making big marks bellow the actual top wood coat and into the sub flooring. I immediately stopped them and asked for my money back. The end of the report is: My floors are ruined, they need to be replaced, at a cost of $15,000.00, Mark AKA MOSHE RIBOH is unresponsive, I have filed with the California State License Board and I am awaiting their response.
