I am rewriting my review of OC Event Photos because even after four years, looking at our proposal…read morephotos still makes us disappointed and sad. We planned this proposal for about a month with Corey and specifically discussed capturing the actual proposal moment. Unfortunately, the photographer missed a significant part of it and only started recording after my proposal was already underway. This was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that cannot be recreated. The photos themselves were also extremely disappointing. Our faces had heavy, distracting shadows even though this was a summer daytime shoot. We received fewer photos than we expected based on what was promised, and the quality was below what we were expecting. The photographer's attitude made the experience worse. He arrived without even saying hello and left without saying goodbye. For something as personal and important as a proposal, the entire interaction felt cold and unprofessional. When we complained, Corey defended the photographer rather than finding a meaningful way to make things right. After we posted our experience on Yelp, the situation turned into arguments over our review and requests that we remove it. What bothered me most was that there seemed to be more effort put into getting the negative review removed than into resolving why we were unhappy in the first place. We also paid through Venmo, which left us with very limited options when we were unhappy with the service. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend using a payment method that provides purchase protection when hiring any photographer for an important event. Four years later, this still bothers us. Instead of having beautiful photos that bring back a happy memory, we look at them and remember how badly such an important moment was captured. I am not removing my review simply because the business does not like it. This is my experience and my opinion as a customer. For an event that only happens once, I would not trust OC Event Photos again.

I discovered Yaneck through Yelp and reached out to him via Yelp messages/email on his prices, in which he responded back quickly with his specials. Just then, I could not say no as I highly appreciate quick and responsive service! Yaneck was remarkable! During my headshots, the process was extremely easy-going, comfortable, and to add, he is very energetic, friendly, and personable. Yaneck engages in conversation to get to know you and what you do for work and he will give you direction during the headshots. I brought 3 outfits with me and during each outfit session, he would show me the photos he took on his laptop so we can choose the best ones. He did not rush me or make me feel like the session was timed, which made for an enjoyable photo session! If I need to get headshots done again in the future, I will be coming back to Wasio!
