This is the first time I've felt the need to write a Yelp review, but I think everyone should know how amazing Blush A Day Spa and Jac Hair Salon are. I got married in June of this year and had 12 bridesmaids! Although I kept calling and changing the number of girls who would be getting their hair done (at least five times), David couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating. The girls looked amazing! Honestly the best wedding hair I have ever seen! As for me, I changed my mind on my hair at the last minute. David was as cool as a cucumber about the entire situation, and he made me look like a million bucks! I forgot to mention that the wedding day jitters got the best of me and I spent half the time in the bathroom getting sick. Dolores (the owner) took it upon herself to pull me aside, put me in a massage room with calming music, and gave me a massage. She didn't have to do everything she did for me, but you could tell that she cared and was truly concerned with the way I was feeling. I've got to say, she really did save me, and I was back to normal in no time. As for my make-up...I couldn't seem to find time to do a trial run. I spoke with Dolores about what I wanted, but I couldn't have imagined a more perfect outcome. She made me look stunning! My husband still talks about how amazing my eyes looked on our wedding day. All in all, this place pulled out all the stops. They were extremely professional, and really went above and beyond with our entire group. If you are a local for visiting from out of town, this place is not to be missed. read more

Beware out of towners when considering a visit to this Spa. We did the bridal suite package. The Brides price was overpriced; her services were the same as the bridal party except she received a 90-minute facial. She was taken out of the building in a robe, nothing on beside the robe, to an outside room that she classified as a storage room. No curtains on the windows, the music was fast, she classified the massage as a "a fast paced, oily based rub down without any rhythm" I might add, this is by no means her first massage. I got a call from the owner complaining about the tip that was left, she reported there is a 18% tip as stated on their website. The owner wanted me to approve charging the credit cards on file to close out the days accounting. I told her that was not something I could do and I would have to get back to her on that request, it should be noted, I looked and looked and could not find the mentioned 18% tip on the website. I went in the next day to complain about my purchase, I was overcharged and did not get a receipt so I couldn't figure out where the overcharge came from. The husband was there and asked me to explain the phone call I received the prior evening from his wife. He then told me my purchases would be a gift as an apology for the phone call I had received from his wife the night before. Damage control is always good for a business. A couple of hours later I got a second phone call from his wife, stating she did not ask for more money and I was mistaken about the context of the phone call. I am pretty sure I would not make up such a story. She effectively destroyed the damage control that was done by her husband. Then she texted one of the bridesmaid and stated she would give a discount on the services if she would remove her bad review. Bribery does not make up for rudeness from a business owner. My purchases were not reversed on my credit card so I filed a dispute with my credit card company, to no avail I was I not given a refund for my purchases as promised by the husband and I was not given a refund for the purchases that I did not receive. This is one of MANY complaints I have about the business. But I will stop, I think you can get the just of the poor practices of the owners. read more

No functioning bathrooms when we were there. Staff was nice and profusely apologetic, but we had to go next door to ask to borrow the restroom at a beauty salon. I expected a spa type locker room and restroom where we could change, but I had to walk to an outside shed across a parking lot for my treatment and change there in the treatment room. The shed had a massage room with some pieces of other equipment under plastic covers wedged into the corners. However, the massage itself was very good. I did not see anything of the actual facility other than the small waiting room. read more

Our family had been going through a lot, and she really helped make my niece's birthday special, going above and beyond to make sure she and her friend got teen facials. Blush has been my go to day spa for the last 5 years. I love everything about it...amazing facials, brows, waxing and massage. However, their new endermologie treatments are life changing. I just finished my series of 10 and I plan to continue. My skin has become noticeably firmer. It helps with muscle soreness, water retention and lymphatic drainage. I've never felt better. I highly recommend endermologie and all the services at Blush. Great job Dolores and team! read more

My girlfriends and I went to Sonoma for a girls weekend. My friend had called Blush a couple months prior to book the appointments. We were able to talk to Dolores, the owner, each time we had called to change something on our services. I did not want any of the packages on the website, but wanted to do an a la carte/mix and match package, and they were able to accomodate me. We were not familiar with Sonoma, and they even made suggestions for us on where to stay while we were in town. There were 4 of us and we had the spa booked all to ourselves. Our day spa "party" started at 11am, and all of us had 2-3 hour treatments. There were always 2 of us getting worked on, maybe even 3 at one time. We each had a combination of facial, massage, pedicure, oil scrub. I had a facial, massage and a foot reflexology done. OMG, the massage was amazing, definitely the best I've had! I've completely forgotten the gal's name who massaged me, but she had such amazing strong hands. I like my massage deep, and she definitely had very, very strong hands. She will also ask you your comfort level, so if you aren't into painful massages, she can adjust her pressure. The facial by Dolores was also something to brag about. I have super-sensitive skin, and in the past, all my facials have left me with blotchy, pink skin for at least a couple days. Dolores's facial was gentle, and I looked good with no pink the next day. She also gave all of us a complimentary light treatment, which supposedly releases anti-oxidants in our skin. The foot reflexology was so, so. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but maybe I just didn't know what it was. I thought it was a foot massage, but it is a light massage where they put light pressure on various parts of your foot to release toxins elsewhere in your body. On top of the awesome service, they gals at blush also ordered us lunch. It was part of the party program. The lunch was nothing extravagant, just take-out from a near-by grill. The food was good though. I think we were told we were going to get strawberries with champagne, but we never got that. That was quite alright, because we had brought a cake to the spa to celebrate one of the girl's bday. Blush accomodated us, and had plates for us. The spa is a really cute place with some really cute jewelry, purses, and accessories. Each of us bought a few things to complete our girl's party. We stayed at the spa until 7pm! I could not believe we spent the whole day there! It was one of the best getaways I've had, and Blush made it a memorable girl's weekend for us! read more

I just went here on a Groupon with my friend.... We had a great time. The owner, Delores was so accommodating and efficient. Her staff was likewise. I had a fabulous facial by Elena, she is so knowledgeable and her techniques were very stealth! I had a wonderful body scrub and massage with Leslie, she asked me about my body before we started and then gave me a "Me specific" massage that was just what the doctor would've order! It was a lovely way to start a day of shopping and lunch with a friend; she enjoyed it so much she said, 'that was the best massage I've ever had!' Didn't have time to get to my place in Houston before I left for vacation, so called around till I found this place when I got to Sonoma. The place is really tranquil, and the people were over-the-top pleasant and super helpful, too! They pointed me to some good wineries to visit later, and gave me a coupon for a free tasting at Arrowwood. My esthetician was a doll and she made my Brazilian wax a pleasant and relatively pain-free experience. And it was $20 cheaper than the place I go to in Houston! Super happy with my experience here...highly recommend!! read more

I found this place through a groupon and was very impressed both with the massage therapists and Dolores who is a fabulous esthetician. I joined the monthly club membership because I was so impressed with the massage therapists. I have never regretted it. I know other reviews have criticism about the booking, noise, etc, but honestly, I would much rather give my business to a small business owner than some corporate owned "resort" atmosphere spa. Dolores and her staff are always very welcoming and aways make me feel very comfortable. If the quality of the treatment is more important than a resort style spa atmosphere, this place is for you. read more

I had the copacabana body treatment today. All i could say after Kathy finished was, WOW! Loved it. I would definitely recommend this treatment. I left feeling very relaxed. I went to Blush my first time because I had a Groupon. I've been back four times and plaln to continue. I've had two facials at Blush and both were done by Kathy. WONDERFUL! She suggested products that have truly made a difference in the apperence of my skin. I've had two massages and the Coacabana, all have been great treatments. Blush is the best day spa i've visited and i've been to many It's the only one i've continued to go back to. Yes it's small, but the friendly service and professionaliism is what keeps me coming back. read more

Very mediocre massage in some shed near by the spa " because we are way to booked". I should of left, but gave a chance, my bad. I never even saw the spa itself beyond the waiting area. Sadly I had to give one star in order to leave a review if given the option I would not give any stars. I called and booked a day spa over a month in adavce for a bridal party based on the service options provided online. To our surprise we did not receive the strawberries and not all of our Party was offered champagne including the bride to be. In fact when the bride asked for a glass of champagne she was told by a staff member to poor her own it's in the fridge and that she is already late for her lunch because we took up to much time purchasing items they displayed, also she had someone waiting for her. Non the less the services provided we're not amazing but every person left a generous tip for the therapists. About 20 minutes after returning to our rooms we received a call from the owner informing us that we did not leave a large enough tip and that she would be charging everyone's debit /credit cards to cover what she believed to be the correct amount. When we informed her this would not be allowed as not everyone was will us to authorize this transaction she told us that she would be charging all cards on file . When the phone call had ended I received a polite / not polite text message informing be of how bad we are as people and how we owed her more money. read more

Went to this spa for the very first time while visiting my cousin who lives in the bay area. My cousin Christine LOVES this place and highly recommended it to us, so we decided to give it a try. Well, let me tell you, we certainly have NO REGRETS!! Blush a Day Spa is a quaint little shop around the corner. As soon as we entered the shop, we were greeted with a warm smile from the owner, Dolores, and her cheerful masseuse. My cousin and sister couldn't wait to use their groupons for a much needed massage and facial. As I waited in the small lounge area for my cousin and sister to get their treatments, I actually fell asleep on the comfy little couch listening to the tranquil music playing and with the sweet aroma of hot coffee brewing on the countertop. When my cousin and sister came out they both expressed how rejuvenated they felt. This is huge, especially for my sister, who is an officer in the army and treats herself to a day at the spa whenever possible at spas around the world. She enjoyed her experience at Blush a Day Spa so much she is willing to drive another 2 1/2 hours one way so she can enjoy another great day at the spa. My cousin kept gushing about how great she felt afterwards..... as she usually did before taking us there. As for me, I opted for an eyebrow wax from Dolores and was surprisingly pleased with the results! I must say that after going to several salons and walking away never feeling happy with the way I looked, I haven't let anyone touch my eyebrows in years. However, this is the first time I actually LIKED the way my brows were done . Thank you, Dolores! Blush a Day Spa was the perfect solution for three ladies in need of some pampering! I like that this spa is small and makes you feel at home. There is simply no substitute for great service, a warm, welcoming environment, and people who show that they sincerely care. I generally like to judge a place by the way I felt coming in and the way it left me feeling on the way out. We all left feeling much better, happier, and lighter.......simply overflowing with positive energy! read more

I find it hilarious that you respond to my review @ 2 yrs after I visited your salon. My original review was TRUE and not FAKE! I'm not a "friend of another salon owner" either. Noelle was the person who did my pedicure and once again was defiantly an awkward experience. I understand that you're separate from JAC salon, but WHY was a hair stylist from that establishment providing my pedicure then? There was no 75 magazines available, nor "help yourself" food or water during my visit. YELP should not remove my posting (because you don't like it). Horrible!!!!!! I bought a living social deal for a spa day package for my boyfriend and I and called to schedule an appointment. I spoke to a girl who took down my information and requested date of service and asked if she could have Dolores call me back to confirm that we could do that date. I received a phone call from Dolores and she said she could put us in at 2pm on the Saturday that I had requested. She then handed me back to the first girl to take down my information and set up the appointment. I gave her both my name, my boyfriends name, my email address as well as my phone number. We had an entire weekend planned revolving around this spa day and upon arriving to the spa, we were basically asked what we were doing there. I told them that we had appointments at 2pm. There was apparently no record of my appointment and she basically told me that I must have been mistaken and that if I did not receive a confirmational email that it was never booked. I explained to her that I spoke with someone AND her as well confirming my appointment and that the girl took my info down. She began to look through an appointment book and found all of my information written down with no appointment time/date. She then proceeded to tell me that I must have been inquiring about a date and they probably gave me available dates (which wasn't the case because I asked to book a SPECIFIC time on a date) but did not set one up even though I called specifically to SET up an appointment. She later called me to see if we wanted book 1/3 of the package for both of us knowing full well that we had come in from out of town and had no plans to return to the area. I will never come back here again because of the lack of professionalism and obvious miscommunication between staff members. The fact that she showed no ownership of the fact that it was a mistake on their part is just unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

Last month for my birthday a few friends and I went up to Sonoma for massages and wine tasting. My friend had called Blush earlier in the week (on a Monday) and made reservations for 4 massages for that coming Thursday. We knew we probably wouldn't be able to all go at once and they said they could do 2 at a time. 2 of us @ 1pm and the other 2 @ 2pm. Cool. The others could walk around the downtown wine tasting while the others were getting rubbed. So Thursday comes and its about 10ish we're about to head out the door to pick up the friends and the phone rings and its Blush saying 1 of their masseuses called in sick. Now, I know things happens...people get sick...I can't control the universe :( but I was still kinda bummed...They offered to do us 1 at a time but that would of meant being up there for 5 hours (2 of us were getting 1 1/2 hour treatments) I like wine tasting and hanging out, but not for 5 hours...and it was raining that day. So we told them we'd call them back and scrambled around trying to find another spa to accommodate us. We found a place that could get 2 of us in @ those same times. Sweet. Off to wine country we go...by the time it was my turn for the massage I had already had a few glasses of wine so I was niice and relaxed..When I got there the door was locked and I didn't see anyone there. I stood there for a few minutes, confused, slightly tipsy and not knowing what to do, then I see a woman coming towards the entrance to the store. She apologized for keeping me waiting and we went in. After all that I was thinking this better be a great massage...and it was...5 stars for the massage I think her name was cynthia and she was wonderful. I had the papaya body scrub with a kukui nut oil massage. The scrub itself was little harsh but my skins really sensitive and im kind of a wimp. But the massage OMG It was heavenly. I think at one point I even dozed off for a minute and started to drool but woke up and caught myself ;) Plus my skin was so soft and I smelled really good afterward..The place itself is pretty cute, nice and relaxing (the shower is REALLY nice) and they have a bunch of cool jewelry. gems & stones for sale. I would of given them 5 stars but I had to take away 2 for the hassle. read more

I have had facials from Dolores and many of the other esthetician at Blush. All have been fantastic. On my first visit, I got a new face wash that has made a huge difference to my skin. I have oily, sensitive skin and it has always been hard to find the right product. I love this place for excellent, reasonably priced facials. If I wanted the all-day spa experience with relaxing lounges and new age music, I would go elsewhere. read more

My friends and I went there as part of a bridal shower celebration for our friend. Everything was nice at first, I even received a phone call stating that they were running 20 mins late that day so we got there when they were ready for us. I had a great massage from Mary, who really got all the knots and aches out! Unfortunately, my friend (the bride) had a nice but shorten facial with Dolores. We were all scheduled for 90 minutes of service, however my friend had only 70 minutes! When we asked Dolores, she stated that my friend had really nice skin and didn't need any type of extraction. When we pointed out that they advertised the session to be 90 minutes, Dolores got very defensive and started stating that we were running late and that she did extra treatment on my friend and how we were not appreciative of nice, world renown treatments. When I pointed out that I received a voicemail from the staff at the spa stating that they were running late, Dolores pretty much lost it. She started yapping about how she was trained by the best in the world and that her service is world renown... etc. My poor friend can't even get a word in because Dolores was constantly cutting her off! I'm not sure if Dolores had a bad day or if it is simply bad customer service, either way she came across looking really horrendous. One interesting note, Dolores had taken my payment for the massage and later on another staff pointed out to her that she charged the wrong amount. Her husband James was really accommodating and was trying to find a solution to make everybody happy. However, even after James solved the issue, Dolores still had to vent about how we do not understand and value good treatments. I finally told her that I had plenty of great treatments from spas such as Nordstrom and Canyon Ranch, simply to point out that her comments were unfounded. She retorted that those spas are not good. Basically we left after that since there is no point reasoning with her! EEEK! UPDATE: I would give this place no star rating if possible, because Dolores lies too much! She lies on her own posting stating that the coupon on the Citysearch website has expired, when it's good until March 2009. Then she lies about the amount we tipped (I always tip 20%) Finally she lies about the amount she charged to cover up her own mistake! Horrible person! A BIG FAT LIAR!!! I know I am a week late in posting this but this place deserves an excellent review. Last weekend I had a bachelorette spa day at Blush a Day. We were able to have the entire place to ourselves (it was me and nine of my girlfriends). The staff here are incredibly nice and generous. We were provided a large tray of fruit and snacks, flavored water all day long, two bottles of champagne, and everyone got different types of services that were all amazing. I got a waxing and the detox duo (massage and body wrap) and they were such incredible services. Tess did the waxing and I had never had a waxing done so I was a little nervous, Tess totally calmed my nerves, she talked to me the whole way through and distracted me away from the pain. She was the best. Rebecca was my masseuse for the detox duo and she was also incredibly sweet and also one of the most intuitive people ever. She talked me through every step of the process to make sure I knew what to expect and how to get the most out of the treatment. She gave me incredible advice on how to help maintain proper circulation in my body and skin and my entire body felt so refreshed and vibrant after her treatment. Aside from the wonderful staff and the amazing treatments, this place is just overall a happy environment. It may be a small spa but the lobby is beautiful, they have tons of massage supplies: oils, bath salts and scrubs, lotions, toners, you name it. One of the funnest parts of the whole day was walking around the lobby smelling all of the amazing soaps and lotions and bath bombs. Brow waxes from Dolores are THE BEST. She's fantastic - quick, thorough, and my brows look amazing.

I was fooled by the good reviews this place has. First of all, the facial w/Dolores started 10 mins late even though I arrived there early. I paid for 60 minutes facial and only got 50. Later I got gross out to find out stained sheets on the bed. I was wearing makeup and she did not remove the makeup before she started the facial. She rubbed all the creams over my face with makeup on and this irritated my eyes. When the facial ended I had to ask her for eye makeup remover to clean my racoon eyes. When I paid her she needed to give me some change but instead asked me to leave 15 or 20 percent gratuity. I think she was tacky in asking for gratuity before the client is able to decide the tip amount. The excellent reviews about this place makes me think they are her friends writing them or that Dolores gave them free services to write these great reviews. Is not worth it the long drive to Sonoma and if these raving reviews are from real people they don't have high standards. read more

As I long time resident of Sonoma I have been impressed with local newspaper articles regarding this day spa, however never got around to making an appointment until Groupon offered a special recently. The experience overall exceeded my expectations ! Most of all, Jennifer who was my massage therapist is about as good as it gets - I have had massage all over the USA as well as in Japan, India, Thailand, China and various spots in Europe. Starting with a body scrub, my skin now feels like a baby then on to a most sensitive, thorough, delicious massage which makes me feel like I have had a week of yoga! I will surely return and certainly ask for Jennifer - she is amazing!! read more

I had a great experience. My 90 minute massage with Jennifer was amazing. She did a Lomi Lomi and my body was happy happy. I then had a brow wax from Dolores, fantastic and will see her again in 3weeks for a touch up. With the information she gave me about my brows and the shape, she will have them looking fantastic in no time. She also did my facial, which was relaxing and the product made my skin feel great. I felt very comfortable, was offered water when I walked in and treated exceptionally. read more

Had a lovely experience here. Kathryn was FABULOUS and Dolores was WONDERFUL! I was at the Claremont last week, which is a different experience for sure, but Blush, unlike any other place I've been to, is generous with the massage oil and I LOVE the spritz of lavender during the treatments. I've paid a pretty penny for aromatherapy before, and that usually means a couple drops of scent into the massage oil- this was much better! & the massage itself could not have been better. I love that Dolores is so knowledgeable and has a nice balance of products available but none of the pushy "buy this" vibe at all! I will definitely be back! read more

What a wonderful find during our visit to Sonoma! The facial I got from Dolores was the best facial I've ever had! My massage from Jenn was amazing! Everyone in our group agreed that the treatments and the staff were over the top. We will definitely be going back to Sonoma just to visit Blush A Day Spa. I am a Sonoma resident and living in the wine country means we have several options to soil ourselves with spa treatments. Out of all the day spas in Sonoma I like to spoil myself at Blush a Day Spa. The owners are accommodating and friendly the staff is very professional and pleasant. Dolores De Alba is excellent at brow shaping and tinting. Cynthia has magical hands for massages. The facials are wonderful and so relaxing that you might have to take a little nap. They also offer manicures and pedicures in a relaxing atmosphere. Come to Sonoma and relax at the Blush a Day Spa. Treated myself and hubbie to facials and a massage. Dolores and Leslie (?) were wonderful. I'm a massage virgin and I was nervous as heck, took everything I had to concentrate on relaxing! But these women made it a very special day. Left there determined to come back for at least a facial and my husband swears his skin glows now!! and says the massage was excellent. We had a wonderful, relaxing afternoon which was exactly what I wanted - to completely relax for a couple of hours.
