Blush Botanicals = Over priced and over hyped. I recently experience first hand the poor customer service that they provided a bride with. Prior to the contract being signed and the flowers delivered, the customer service was spot on. They were attentive, friendly, and willing to earn the customer's business. As soon as there was an issue with the flowers, everything mentioned above went out the window. The bride had clearly stated that her theme color for her wedding was orange. The problem: there was orange everywhere else, but in her bridal bouquet (quite possibly the most important flower arrangement of the wedding day). When the bride called to state her concern, Blush Botanical was standoffish and quite frankly rude. They did offer one solution, to add orange orchid to the bouquet (but Blush Botanical said that it may die on the day of the wedding). Who wants dead flowers in their bouquet? Three Members of the wedding party rush to Blush Botanicals to find a more reasonable solution to the problem. Blush Botanicals once again state that they can not do anything, because to switch out the flowers for orange flowers would be time consuming. They could only add the orchids, because that did not require taking apart the bouquet. At that point there was no other solution, because some flowers was better then no flowers. A member of Blush Botanicals rolled her eyes, while she reluctantly added the orchids. For such expensive flowers, you would expect nothing but the freshest flowers. The flowers look wilted and sad. In this case, $$$ did not equal quality. People please save yourself the grief and go elsewhere. read more

We hired Blush Botanicals for our wedding at The Estancia Hotel, in La Jolla and they were personally the biggest surprise on our wedding day - it was above our expectations, it was just so good. Alex and Brittany from Blush were a great addition to the team my husband and I chose to work with for our wedding day. When I met the girls I instantly connected with them on a personal and professional level and I knew that they were as interested in our aesthetic as they could possibly be and that they would create a beautiful backdrop to our wedding day. As the bride I had moments of going back and forth with them on decisions several times and not once did I ever feel that I was a burden to them. The girls are extremely warm and engaging, knowledgable and above all else professional. On the wedding day the girls made several trips to both our ceremony and reception site to deliver the flowers and to take the flowers that they delivered and set up at the church to the reception site to set up for additional use. Our arrangements for the church ceremony were used for our reception as well and the girls at blush executed this transition seamlessly and basically allowed me to monopolize on the amount of arrangements at the reception. I had a last minute change in bridal bouquet ribbon color for my bouquet as well as bridesmaids and Alex and Brittany made the change happen the morning of the big day! The reception flowers were phenomenal! In addition to the arrangements, their rentals are far superior to anything I have ever seen anywhere else. I feel any bride would be blessed to have such beautiful flowers at her wedding. My fiance and I are planning a small, quick wedding prior to him deploying to Iraq in December. Our plan is to have a big, full wedding reception next year (after he gets back and our daughter is born). Did some research for florists near my office, and found Blush Botanicals - saw great reviews so came by on a Tuesday afternoon. Walked in with my mom - since we had found the location via yelp, we did not know there was a required appointment time to talk to someone. When we came in we explained what we were looking for, and were told to wait for someone who worked on their smaller wedding side - something & posey (can't remember exactly what it was called). She came out and introduced herself, was super friendly, and asked questions about what we were looking for. Explained they normally require an appointment, but was happy to help us as she had a bit of extra time. She asked me about my wedding, what we were looking for, and took a lot of notes. About halfway through us talking, a woman named Alex walked in, shocked to see us sitting in the front area, and when the girl we were working with said we had walked in and she had some time, Alex made it very clear and reminded us 2 more times that they only see people by appointment. Got it. Appointment required. She then proceeded to the back, while the girl and my mom and I kept discussing what we were looking for. At the end she asked what price I was looking to stick to- I had only gotten one other quote, so I went off of that as a general number, but explained I was completely open to whatever she thought would be required based on what I said I wanted. I told her that I trusted her to give me accurate numbers based on the flowers I chose, the vases, etc. She told me she would work on putting a quote together and that I would have it by the end of the week. Two weeks later I have nothing. Never got a quote, a phone call, a voicemail. It's such a shame considering their glowing reviews, and the fact that we were not only looking for someone for our small wedding, but for our big reception at the end of next year. Clearly we will be taking our business elsewhere since our "small" wedding was not big enough of a job for them to work on. read more

There are not enough stars on Yelp to express the absolute love and respect I have for the work of Blush Botanicals! After getting engaged in February, I knew I wanted to tackle a few things right off the bat - location, dress and florals. I met with three different vendors, but knew immediately that Blush was the way to go. Alex and Brittany were professional, friendly, SO creative and they nailed my vision (rustic elegance) right off the bat. After signing that contract, I felt like I had hired more than just a floral vendor, I felt like I had hired two friends who cared so much about making my day the most special it could be. They responded to every email promptly and professionally and went WAY above and beyond their job responsibility offering guidance on the event layout, linens, additional decor, etc. From day one I knew that as long as they were involved, my wedding day would be perfect. And BOY was it perfect. It's one thing to see your vision written out on paper, but it's something entirely different when you see it in person. It was beyond anything I could have ever imagined and better than any photo I showed them for inspiration. When mine and the bridesmaids bouquets were delivered to the room, I nearly started crying. I had never seen anything so beautiful....that is until I got to the reception. The florals were overwhelmingly gorgeous.
