We arrived for our appointment 1/2 an hour early to pick out colors and was told that it's going to be a long wait and I said that we have had 5pm appointments for weeks. We waited 1 hr and 18 minutes before we were both taken back. Yet, a walk-in that came in after us that complained about her nails & she wanted them repaired and he gave her his full attention and left my daughter in foils for another 1/2 an hour. I asked if my daughter could have a polish change on her toes and was told that's $25, seriously?!?! Not a good experience at all for Prom nails! I don't know why this place has a good rating? My daughter and I have been to pretty much every nail salon in our area in Scottsdale. We finally found a nail bar that is a great value and takes the time to produce a great product. Usually my daughter's acrylics break within a week of getting them and hers have stayed on for a month (need to go back for a fill). My gel pedicure and gel manicure lasted as well. I was impressed with the cleanliness and watched one of the nail techs spend a half hour or more cleaning her station and all her supplies thoroughly while I was getting my pedicure. Great place! I had been coming here for almost 3 months and had never had a problem, matter of fact I was quite satisfied with my services, up until today. Every two weeks I come and get a pedi and full set or fill and spend at least $140.00 every time. The last time I went in was two weeks ago with my mother in law, we both had pedicures, the young man that did hers didn't seem very confident in cutting cuticles skills, and keptd cutting and hurting her, so I kindly asked someone else to cut her cuticles or to have him re-do them, which they did and it was fine. Today I went in for a fill and that same man was the one told to do it , which in my head I'm like okay let's give this a second chance, it'll be fine. But it wasn't. I had asked him to cut to nails as short as possible, and he didn't, I asked him to cut my cuticles (I always do this to make sure my nails look clean at the end) he then tried to do it and just couldn't again, he didn't cut any dead skin off and just hurt me a few times instead. I was trying to be patient, and just let him continue, towards the end I was asked to pay by the manager because they were getting ready to close, I then asked the manager or owner according to him, if someone else could cut my cuticles after he was done, he nodded. At the end no one stepped in to cut them and I asked him for a refund, mind you I was very polite about it I just said "I'd like to get my $10 back since he ddnt cut my cuticles". Then he just gave me a whole attitude about it saying "I'm just too sensitive" that I needed to just let him do it! Like why? so I can get cut again? I was like , no I don't want it to do it anymore because at this point that young man was alry upset, twisting and pulling my finger, to be done, So I would just like my money for that one service that wasn't provided for me. He basically tossed my ten dollars back and in a few words told me I could leave now. Even then I was trying to explain to him that I wasn't completely unsatisfied, the only thing I ddnt like was that he wasn't experienced in that field and just wanted my money back since I ddnt get the service, but at the end he was just rude and unprofessional. Now I'm getting home and noticed he ddnt even match the powder to my color, which again I asked him to do. So maybe just save your money and go somewhere else where they will actually appreciate your money, and take constructive criticism, or simply not get upset at you for something their employee did. So to the "owner" maybe learn how to be a actual boss and business owner and treat ppl with respect. Not just cause there's a complaint you give attitude and ask them to leave. read more

I got home and realized that my nails were peeling and it had not even been one hour since I got my nails done. I went for a plain black nail nothing too complicated, but that even seem too complicated. Driving back on Christmas Eve is such an inconvenience. I've been growing my natural nails out for a while now, 6 months to be exact, I got a hard gel manicure, and a gel pedicure. At the appointment they were nice and sweet, however I did not like the overall appearance, I did tell them my toes did not live up to the price or the previous times I've come in, rather than fixing them they simply filed them as the fix even tho the gel was uneven and blotchy. The hard gel manicure application was subpar to put it nicely, so thick that after 24 hours it was lifting on about 6 of my nails. The design was nothing like what I asked for. At this point they were closing down and I had been there for 2.5 hours, I had already mentioned the fact that I didn't enjoy my toes and no one did anything to fix it so why continue to complain when clearly it doesn't matter to them. Again the girls were sweet the application was what was bothersome. After spending $143 before tip, I called when my nails started lifting, along with the fact that I did not enjoy the design, and my gel pedicure was already chipping and coming off. When I arrived for them to fix it, I was literally yelled at, and talked to very disrespectfully because why wouldn't I say I didn't like it. However I did say I didn't like my toes and no one fixed it so why would I continue complaining when clearly I'm not being heard? The whole time I could feel the tension and felt as though I was unwelcome. However when I spend $143 I expect that to be high quality customer service and work, not one or the other, I had messaged the Instagram page explaining how I felt, and was promised a 30% off coupon for my next visit, I told them I would appreciate it and would give them another shot, I was left on read and never given the coupon. The following week my nails began to lift yet again. At this point I will never go back, and seeing that I have a following on instagram, and I come into contact with clients non-stop and I'm actually ver well known in my industry and across not just the US but several countries, I will never go back. My friend went in this past week and had the exact same experience with her nails lifting and the gel coming off her daughters nails as well. So clearly this is not just a me thing. Quality is necessary for a business to continue running, and customer service is beyond necessary. The fact I was left on read, knowing the situation, is so unprofessional and just rude. Ever single person who I come into contact with who asks me about my nails I'll be sure to notify of how I was treated, I would've never wrote a review had they just followed thru on their promise to rectify it and sent me a coupon code. And I would've actually given them a second chance. But at this point I want neither as I can clearly see quality is lacking. It's sad to see such a beautiful business who don't care about their clients or the work they put out. read more

Went here to get white tip acrylics, the man decided he was going to do what he wanted and did powder instead. Said they would look way better, ugliest nails I've ever had. It's been embarrassing. Also, made sure to tell him BEFORE he even started that I had a broke finger and he needs to be careful. He wasn't. The girls were nice and the place is beautiful so I'll give each of those a star...., the nails on the other hand not worth $70.... When I called to ask for pricing they told me that it STARTED at $40 but could go up based on length, and design.... I figured it wouldn't be too much more bc I wasn't getting anything crazy.... The length I got was actually "too short" for coffin shape per my nail technician so she told me she would give me a "narrow" square instead.... My pinky's are different widths one is too skinnier than the other.... They didn't even use powder on my nails they used "gel" nail polish that completely peeled off by the second day.... I actually got a sticker on 2 nails and a tiny rhinestone on another (I wanted a bigger rhinestone but she told me that was too big for my nails .... Again just to give you an idea of how short I got them) ....When I went to pay and she told me $70 I asked her to please breakdown the price for me bc I neither got a crazy design (it was a sticker not even hand made) and the length was short.... I also mentioned that they told me it started off at $40 and there was no way that a small sticker and a rhinestone was worth $30.... She tells me that the full set starts at $70 and not $40 so idk why when I called and made an appointment for a full set specifically, they quoted me $40+ not $70+ I would have never have gone there if I knew that was the case. I'm not one to leave reviews but I don't think that this place is really worth $70+ for a full set of basic nails. Again not bashing on the girls bc most of them were friendly but the price was ridiculous. I've been tp many places before and they all offer at least lotion after they finish the nails and this place didn't even do that. On another note the girl I went with got a pedicure and also was not satisfied with it... paid more than other places and the technician left nail polish all over her toes and barely scrubbed her heels. What a horrible experience today! If I could give ZERO stars I would. This is my first time even giving a review but I was compelled to do so because of how BRENDA treated me. Tyler did a fantastic job on my nails and then I had a pedicure with Kevin... I picked out the $45 spa pedicure by showing him on the menu and didn't know until I after I paid that it was actually $73 because I got gel / French. This is my 2nd time at this salon and they didn't charge me that last time. Brenda was cashing me out and I questioned her about the cost of the pedi and she showed me the back page of the menu and said it's in the book - I told her that's fine but Kevin should have said something as we specifically discussed $45. I said it's not the money it's a matter of principle. I've never been charged $28 extra dollars for a French pedicure EVER - and then not even say anything? Brenda had an attitude of which 'oh well, you should have looked in the book' I wasn't raising my voice - I was letting her know that I should have been told it went from $45 to $73 and she caught major attitude and Brenda said ' I have a customer and I'm not the receptionist! Have a great day' and she turned on her heels and walked away and left me alone up front. I then walked out towards my car and then decided to go back in (I was no longer being nice now) and let Tyler know that I really wanted him to keep doing my nails but I didn't deserve to be treated that way. Her attitude was uncalled for and I was really upset. I just spent $136 as a customer and walked out feeling so angry! I give this business a 1 star, because even though the location and inside the solan was very nice, the overall quality of service and employees attitude and behavior was very bad. My sister and I both walked into this solan, excited to get our nails done, but very soon we felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Through it all the the employees attitude was really rude and they were really rushing through the whole process. The guy who was doing my sisters nail wasn't even listening to what she was really asking for and when she kindly asked him to file her nails a little more to flatten the nails because they were too curvy, he just got up and walked away without any reason or explanation. In all of my solan experiences, I had never seen a situation like this, where the nail technician would just walk off in the middle of the job without any reason or explanation. When he walked away the girl who was working on my nail, had to finish off my sister. Her overall attitude and behavior was very rude as well. she also didn't do a good job on filing our nails, each looking different and specially not filling the back corner edges of the nail. My sister and I walked out of the solan very unhappy with both our nails and the quality of service we got. I won't recommend them to anyone. read more

So I want to start off my saying mai and Tracey do amazing work! I walked in for a manicure. Pedicure and eyebrow wax, but now having any clue of a design. Tracey fixed my feet and made sure that they matched my nails that Mai was doing. Mai is a master in her craft she basically came up with the most fire design and she fixed my eyebrows. They were uneven previously from not good waxes in the past. She completely evened them out. I love that they took their time to make sure it was perfect and what I wanted. I give this place 2 stars, their work is great. The customer service is definitely 0 stars. I have never felt so uncomfortable before getting my nails done. The salon itself is beautiful, and I was expecting to have a great experience. I sit down with my tech and we discussed what I wanted. I show him a picture and he assured me he could do it as long as " I paid." I work in the beauty industry and I definitely know that I get what I pay for. I wanted great detailed art work and I expected it to be a more expensive service. The tech kept repeating " I can do whatever you want as long as you pay money, it's not cheap, and I don't want you to be surprised about the price. I'm just a forward person." I just ignored the comments and I continued to try to have casual conversation to try to make myself feel more comfortable. During the service I got a phone call and I was speaking Spanish. Once I hung up he said " I didn't know you were a beaner". I said excuse me and he responded with the same response. I told him that wasn't appropriate and for the rest of the service his attitude changed and was trying to be overly nice. I was really excited to get my nails done but this experience definitely ruined it for me. Also to add that I was the only client that had in the two hours that they were open. Anyways I would not recommend to any of my friend, family and followers. read more
