First timer. They took me promptly for my appointment. Kelley, who seems to be the big Maha at the salon, provided the service. Manicure and pedicure. She was very professional, knew what she was doing and was quite the talker. Not excessive, just pleasant talk. Both services were excellent. This is a hidden gem nail salon. I started going to Smiley Nails II last year and it is my favorite nail salon for a few reasons. All of the nail techs here speak English. This is important to me incase I have a request or concern, I know that they understand. I have a skin discoloration (autoimmune) that wraps around on of my ankle and they are the first salon that has not embarrassed me by asking me what is it is front of all the customers around me. You would not believe what I dealt with at other salons. The owners and their employees are so nice. They want you to have a great experience so just communicate with them, for example, my feet are extremely ticklish so they know to use the callus remover file very lightly and quickly. Don't go here. They said in the front window that they take walk ins. Don't believe it. I have come back three times now and tried to walk in for a pedicure. Not only do they never have space but they don't apologize they couldn't be bothered and it seems like they don't really care if you bring in your business or not. Just had a simple polish change on my toes. I nicely pointed out that some of the toes were not painted all the way to the edge with the second coat so it looked like two different colors on my toes and one of them had some bubbles in it. The owner told me that they don't paint to the edge because they will chip. I nicely pointed out that this was not true and she told me I could go somewhere else from now on. No accountability for the sloppy job she did - looked like a 10-year-old painted some of the toes . Don't waste your money at this place. read more

Although if you read the reviews of other nail salons you'll likely see the same annoying rants about walk ins vs. appts. Let me assure you that the majority of the ladies that live in this area don't even work so they shouldn't be so distraught over the additional 15 min they had to wait. I'm sure their massage therapist will understand, it's the day in the life of a housewife after all, never a dull moment. But I digress... I love, love, love this place. I get regular pedicures and also they wax my eyebrows. Each of the ladies who have provided services on me have done an amazing job. I love the vibe of the salon and the prices are just right. They are stringent about quality control. The owner will check to make sure my pedicure is perfect and if she doesn't think it is, she has them redo the polish or the design if needed. I found all three of these guys to be kind and friendly and able to communicate and provide exactly what I needed. They've been right on time and have always spent a very reasonable amount of time tending to me, not too long, not too quick. She talked on the phone with her daughter the entire time she was doing my nails, she filed them unevenly, didn't paint my entire nail on any of my fingers, and my cuticles look worse than before I went in. Terrible customer service. Went in for a fill and pedicure at 10:15 am. Was told the lady(Lisa) that did fills would be in at 11 so they would do my pedicure first. No problem. 30 minutes later a young gal came in asking for a polish change and they asked her if she could wait (she didn't have an appt.). In the meantime Lisa came in and checked my nails (pedicure was done) - she asked the other ladies who was in first and they told her I was. She asked my if I could wait 10 minutes, then proceeded to start a new full set on the younger gal. A full set takes at least 30 - 45 minutes. I left after my 10 minute wait as I was very disappointed As I had been a regular customer. No apology. Nothing. No respect for my time! read more

Terrible salon & has gotten worse with new ownership. Even with Pinterest pictures to point out, they don't understand requests. They get mad if you stop & point out that your noticing that they're doing your nails much differently than what you asked for. These are not complex nail designs. Today I was requesting a breast cancer awareness ribbon on my ring fingers. I pointed out a picture for them to follow. They smiled & nodded but then started giving me something completely different...over & over again! This has also been my past experience with them. I try to make it easy but they end up wasting a huge part of my day & I get nowhere. What's worse is they are the slowest nail salon I've ever been to. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years. I can honestly say that I've never had these problems anywhere else. I don't mind if they can't do a certain design but just say so up front. Better yet, understand that customers are spending both their money but also THEIR TIME to give them business! They don't respect time at all & it's a dirty salon to top. I had a horrible experience here, with a technician who was visibly P.O'd and surly, even rude towards me as she did my nails. She drew blood while trimming my cuticles. Just have to give a shout out to Kelly and her team for taking such good care me, my duaghters and my mom for so many years! I took my mom, who is now 95, to Kelly at her original salon for about 5 years and when she moved to Smiley Nail we followed her. They do a great job on our manis & pedis and gets mom's sparkly gel polish just right, but the TLC Kelly gives my mom just makes my heart dance! Pedicures are particularly difficult to do on the elderly for so many reasons. But Kelly handles it all with absolute grace and charm! read more

This is a great little local place. It is your standard nail salon, however the difference being that they consistently do a great job. I have been going for a couple years (my sister and Mom go as well) for pedicures and they always look great. Have done shellac (gel) manicures here as well and the gel stayed on longer than expected. Went in to get a set of acrylics put on, and I wanted black tips with a red line under the tip. She did what I wanted however the red lines were totally smeared and uneven, it looked terrible. I asked her to fix them and they just ended up looking worse, and they were filed incorrectly and super sharp on the edges. I had to go to Walgreens afterwards to buy stuff to fix them and I was very upset. I wish I could get my money back and won't be going here again. read more
