They have great happy hours and there's always something new to try. I always recommend Blush! Does anyone know why their phone number doesn't work? Both the employees were very friendly and attentive of everyone in the bar, and happily answered any questions about wine that we had. I do wish their selection of wines had been slightly bigger but the vinho verde was sooo good I couldn't stop at one glass. Stopped by Blush for their happy hour which was an insane deal as they have all their wines by the glass at half price. So depending on the wine you choose, that can be like $6 a glass which is crazy for SF. Our server was very approachable and knowledgeable. Lots of seating and space indoors so it's perfect for a date or to catch up with friends after work. What a fun place! Love the live music on Wednesday and Thursday nights ! Great artists ! There is even someone who is inspired enough to write books there! She sells them here! When you walk in, there is a small shelf on the right with 5 or six of her books that you can buy (by the couch against the wall), many written where you can have great wine, atmosphere, and music! Reserved a space for 12 people for a birthday celebration via email, overall very welcoming and easygoing. No minimum purchase per person was required, which was nice because not everyone in our group was planning to drink. We were charged an automatic 18% large party gratuity. We ordered a bottle of red wine that was more smoky and dry and a bottle of the pride rosé which was a lot lighter and sweeter. With both bottles, we were able to accommodate different people's wine preferences which was nice. The atmosphere was lovely, not too loud and overall very friendly and welcoming wine bar. Was denied service because the bar tender said my state issued ID wasnt valid, he refused to scan it or check it beyond a glance and threw it back to me and then continued to be very condescending after I asked what the issue was regarding my ID. I am 22, and have never had an issue regarding my ID before today. He said he had training in spotting fakes but obviously not enough. It was disappointing and embarrassing. read more

If i could give 0 stars, I would. From my friends POV, this is the experience that her and I had at Blush this past weekend. - I had a friend come into town to visit me since moving into the city and we decided to go to Blush to meet with a friend and have a bottle of wine. your employee (unsure of his name, mustache with tattoos) came over and greeted us and asked to see our IDs. I have yet to switch my Florida drivers license to a California license since moving to San Francisco about a month ago. your bartender then proceeds to give my friend her ID back and then threw my id on the table even though my hand was reaching out for it. he scoffed and walked away and we were very confused as well as taken aback to what just happened. a few minutes later as we're still waiting for our friend to arrive he looks at us from the bar and says " I just wanted to let you know we probably will not be serving you guys tonight." at this point we were very confused and i asked him why we were being denied when we are both over the age of 21. his response was that he "didn't like our id's" assuming it is because we are from florida. now i am a queer woman who lives in san francisco and i have come to your establishment before with the same bartender and NEVER had this issue. we wanted to come to what we thought was a safe space for me as well as my friend who we were waiting for. I think it was completely unacceptable that we were treated this way due to him not liking our licenses. I am well aware of the political climate we are in currently as well as the political views of the state of Florida. in no way, shape or form do i agree with any of Floridas politics and what is happening in this country. i think it's completely unprofessional to judge and then decided not to serve based off of that. we completely accepted what your bartender said and left absolutely shocked and embarrassed that he did that in front of the entire establishment. again i have been to blush multiple times without an issue in the past but this was completely uncalled for. i don't plan to come back to blush ever again being that your staff member was incredibly rude and his actions were unacceptable. i completely understand that places have the right to refuse service to anyone but we were nothing but respectful and the reasoning is quite honestly bullshit. i just wanted to let whatever management know what occurred and i hope that anyone who comes from out of state does not have the same experience as us. Blush seems like a safe space that is accepting to all humans especially those in the LGBTQIA+ community. Unfortunately i again, a queer woman did not get that same treatment. read more

The bar itself is nice and despite being in a smaller space, is organized in such a way as to give room and options for conversations without being crammed. So why not five stars? They have performances sometimes and on the night we went, there was a couple playing guitar and singing and they just kept jacking up the volume until you couldn't hear yourself talk. This is a wine bar, not a concert venue, and people usually come to wine bars to sample good wines and have intimate conversations. But these musicians were really loud and it just killed the vibe of the otherwise intimate space. read more

We've walked past Blush! many time before but had underestimated how great this place would be, so never dropped in. We finally tried Blush when we got the Broke A** Stuart SF wine passport and Blush was on the list for a free glass of wine. When we entered we were immediately impressed by the live band. We sat down and my boyfriend and I instantly felt like we were in a romantic European wine bar with the dark mood lighting, sparkling lights, and live music. We got too glasses of the house red and a sage burrata to share the glasses were a nice pour (especially considering we were getting them free) and the sage burrata came with a delicious toasted bread. We had a great experience at Blush! and felt like we were transported to another place. I'd recommend it for your next romantic date night. read more

Blush! is my go-to bar for when I want to catch up with friends. And that's for two reasons: 1) They have a great happy hour until 6pm with 30% of wines (I usually get a bottle ;-) 2) They are just a very unpretentious bar where you can just hang out and don't have to be worried about being judged. Still one of the best happy hours in the hood (30% off bottles). They have fun theme nights and live music from time to time and the staff is great. Shoutout to Vincent. I love coming during the winter when I can curl up on the couch, have a glass of warmed mulled wine, and enjoy some good conversation. I also really dig the food. Great cheese plates, escargot and raviolis made in their tiny kitchen. Last time we were there it was on the quieter side and we played a game with the other patrons where we had to try and shoot a cork into a bucket for a free glass.
