I have gotten both a Brazilian wax here and laser hair removal. The wax is NOT pain free, so I don't know what they're trying to sell. Their laser hair removal does work though. I bought a package through Groupon (their regular prices are just too ridiculous) for laser hair removal (LHR) for a small area-my underarms. I can honestly say that just after the 1st session I saw a huge difference and by the 6th session my hair was virtually gone, just the occasional "strays" coming though. I went from having to shave my underarms every other day to only shaving every other week or two! The thing with LHR is that you have to pretty much do touch ups for the rest of your life if you want to continue with the results...if not your hair WILL start growing back. At least that's the case for me! My only beef with this place is that when my 6th session was over and it was time to purchase my "touch ups", the girl at the front desk, I think her name is Adriena, tried to play me and sell me the medium area touch up package. After telling her that my Groupon was for a small area and that I am not paying for a medium area, she insisted that the underarms are considered a medium area. After being very persistent myself, and telling her that I am going by my Groupon package, she very hesitantly gave me the small area price. Overall, I am still very happy with my results and will probably buy another touch up series (for the small area price of course) when it's time to renew. The girls I've had are always very nice and pleasant. I'm usually always in and out in less than 10 minutes and the place itself appears very well maintained and clean. However, go with a Groupon deal because their regular prices are just way too much. read more

Nice place, a bit pricey, but I come with Groupons so it eases the pain. The first time I came I got a Brazilian wax. They claim that they have "ouchless wax", but let me be real with you, it hurts..but I didn't expect it not to. I knew It was going to hurt, I mean you're ripping your hair out from the root, what did you expect? But they do have this super cool bluish/purple wax, very interesting to look at and it feels nice on the skin. The other 5 times I've been here I did LHR (laser hair removal) to my underarm area. I have seen a huge difference in the area. Much smoother, hair is super thin and virtually non existent (with the occasional stray hairs and patches of course). I use to have to shave my under arms every 2 days, now I shave it every 2 weeks and I can probably go longer (but small patches of hair are not that attractive). 4 out of the 5 times I had Rebecca. She is super sweet and very knowledgeable. She is also very accommodating and makes you feel comfortable. She always asks if there is any pain or discomfort and will adjust the settings accordingly for you. I've been in and out of all of my sessions in less than 15 min. Overall I am very pleased. My 6th and final session is in a few weeks. I will update my review after that and let you know my final results. If you're going to go, go with a Groupon, it's worth it! read more

I received complimentary gifts from attending Wendy Williams Birthday Show--the gifts included a Blowout, Brows, Full Facial Makeup and Gel Nails. Upon entering the salon, without an appointment, I explained to her I was here to redeem my birthday gift from Wendy Williams and they immediately made my appointments for 5 minutes later. The manager Brittany offered me a glass of champagne. While at the sink I received a fresh cut flower. They treated me like I was a celebrity. Simone did my blow-out, Nicole did my brows and makeup, and Marion did my nails. The whole experience was one I will never forget. The ambience was friendly and warm, the atmosphere was so relaxed, I felt like I knew them all my life. The music was age appropriate too. Not a whole lot of loud, hard to listen to music. They also carried my personal belongings for me from one station to the next And, when I had to move my car, Adrian offered to move my car for me! It doesn't get any better than that. I went from one station to the next like clockwork. They made me feel special. I wanna give a shout out to all the staff there and tell them "it was the Best spa day ever". I have had two services at BLVD in the last three weeks and both times I was thoroughly impressed! I am in the process of trying to grow out my eyebrows and saw Kandes. She was so helpful in explaining the whole process and how much time it may take. She also showed me how to fill them in during my appt and what products she would recommend which was great because the process can be frustrating. This past Sunday, I had a blow out with Frankie. He was so personable and super sweet. I left it up to him to style my hair the way he thought and he did exactly what I wanted. The hair style lasted all day and I loved it. The whole staff is overall so helpful whether in person or on the phone and very friendly. BLVD is a one stop shop for all of your beauty needs and I am a huge fan. First time there and I was amaze at how the staff was so open, very friendly place all the girls there are so nice. My stylist was Simone, noone has ever done my hair the first time and gets it right she totally understood me, had to get a series package and come back for more. Im so obsessed with her being so thorough with me and explaining everything she was doing and what products she was putting in my hair.
