I have been trying to contact this office to add a vehicle I purchased and remove a vehicle I sold. I've called. I've emailed. No response. Unacceptable. I purchased my new car almost a week ago and I can't drive it if it is not on my policy! I am ready to leave Allstate all together. Not unlike my legendary commitment issues when it comes to gyms, I used to be commitment-averse to insurance agencies as well, switching every 6 - 12 months.. Until I met Matt about three years ago. Let's touch on the coverage for a moment and I'll admit that I really don't know one from the other. But for what it's worth, when I bought my car the salesman at the dealership told me that Allstate was one of the best agencies to work with when it comes to actually NEEDING to submit a claim. Discount agencies will save you a buck but apparently you'll pay for it when you need them. (Sidenote: Lawrence Volvo was a super pleasant car buying experience in case you're in the market.) The main and only reason why I am with Allstate is all because of Matt. He's just hands down the best insurance agent. He has always been incredibly responsive and patient, answering all my questions thoroughly and promptly. When we first started working together he helped to tailor my auto insurance coverage so that it was comprehensive but still reasonable for my budget. After a year he helped me get an even sweeter deal when I combined it with my renter's insurance. I love working with him so much that when he started his own agency I point blank refused to stay with Allstate unless he took my business with him. And here we are, three years later and counting. ALLSTATE you are NOT in good hands !! 20 month ago our security cams. Caught a plumbing company with the name and telephone paintd clearly on it's side back I to my truck and run. 1st the ALLSTATE attorney tried to sue my son-in-law as the driver of the plumbing truck ( lame) my son in-law provide the video and find the police report . After 20 months Allstate said they won a judgement against the plubming company but Allstate said the Insurance refused to pay so Allstate closed the case. Yes Allstate won a judgement but refused to pay our $1000 deductible.it wasn't till I filed a complanit with the CA insurance commissioner I received my deductible. DONT USE ALLSTATE INS. This review is long overdue. Matt has been my agent for the better part of my adult life, at least 7 or 8 years. Obviously, there are reasons to stay with someone for so long. Please allow me to elaborate. Customer service Matt strives to make a customer for life, not just for a transaction. When you call, he typically picks up and if he doesn't, you can bet to get a call back shortly. If your buying a car and don't want to get sold on gap insurance, he'll offer to have everything lined up so after your purchase the insurance is just a phone call away, even on the weekend. If you have questions, he answers. All sounds pretty simple right? However, to find that level of customer service these days is pretty rare, and once you found it you want to keep it. I disagree with the other poster; I spoke with an agent recently when I walked in and he was very friendly and courteous. I think the "know-nothing boobs" may have been a remnant of the changing guard? I am not sure but I did not get that feel at all; most of the people there I think were relatively new. Seems like a really nice and friendly place overall, and was very easy to get a quote and I didn't feel like they were pressing me to buy stuff I didn't need or wasn't interested in.
