Absolutely the WORST service provider experience I have ever hired in my life. Upon arrival for install I was told I need to sign a change order for 2 hours @ $145/hr for removing window trims that would take 1 person 10 minutes max. Wrong size windows were ordered, sliders were wrong color and manufactured incorrectly, screens were wrong size overlapping into the windows, window trims did not match, replacement sliders were manufactured backwards on second attempt install 2 weeks later and I had to beg them to provide correct sliders they wanted me to wait 2 more weeks. Zero apologies from anyone at US Window. I actually asked Stacy Elliot why no one has apologized and still didn't get an apology! STAY AWAY FROM this company!!!! read more

From day one, they showed up when they said and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I had up to 2 crews in my house for 5 days doing the work. I've had dual glaze windows since 2006. They do help cut down the noise and they really do ensure the winter chill is not really severe, but since this is San Diego, we really don't ge much chill. I do have a slight problem with one of the windows. At the bottom of the window where there is a strip of, I am unsure what it is called, plastic that covers off the not so nice parts, has come loose and needs to be replaced. How do I get this part replaced? Yes I have my original receipts to prove if necessary, that your company installed these dual glaze windows back in 2006, but your company should have records of my window installation from that year. I am paying for new windows and doors for my girlfriend's house. She signed a contract with US Window on January 28. She then paid $1000 deposit. Windows were supposed to be in by June. It's August. Very hard to get a call back. Contact says that work will be completed in 26 weeks. That was this past Monday. Stacy in Carlsbad is not calling back. They also asked us if we knew about any installers because they can't find enough to do jobs. That doesn't sound like we're going to get an experienced installer if there was actually was one scheduled. As of now, I have to say - do not sign a contract for work with this company. read more

hello, you installed Millgard windows throughout our home. I've submitted a request via phone, email and via your website. This is the 4th time we've contacted you. To date we've not Rec'd a call back for 3 of the 4 contacts. Currently, we're unable to pull/pop the windows out of the frame as shown in the Milgard video. I had four Milgard windows and a sliding glass door installed in my condo in North Park, and Armando and his team of installers did beautiful work and treated our home and the walls surrounding the window frames with the utmost care. The windows themselves are a huge upgrade from the single-panes that came with the condo (built in the '90s), with much better temperature control and a complete elimination of outside noise. Excellent installation of Milgard replacement windows by US Window & Door. A carpenter I've worked with for years with very high standards was complimentary of the work completed by the US crew. The upsell to the quieter version of the windows was worth the additional cost. Only complaints are that they had to postpone the job twice and they scratched a wood floor. Steer clear of this company. Nothing but excuses. The person who handles claims knew "exactly" what happened and how it is not their fault... This was over the phone and he hadn't even arrived to assess. Three times the windows have leaked and caused more than $10,000 of damage(original leak 2020) Somehow it is never their fault. No leaks prior to install of windows. They are very well trained in excuses. Buyer beware! Insurance covered but raised deductible. Currently using towels when it rains (2023) original install Fall 2019. read more

I highly recommend this company for your window needs. Our entire bottom floor windows were 1980s aluminum single pane, and they were completely inefficient. After checking around a bit, we chose US Window and Door and their Milgard windows, and couldn't be happier! They did the entire job in two days, did a great job installing and cleaning up. And lifetime guarantee. A year later, a mower flung a rock through our new sliders, shattering them. We called the company and they sent a man over the next day to replace the glass, no questions asked! And it was a complex door with blinds embedded between the panes. Fantastic service! read more

We used another "mailbox flyer" company years ago and was very disappointed with quality, price and install. We were hesitant about re-doing the entire house from prior the experience, so waited until our first 10 windows and slider were installed before doing the rest. After installing those windows we contacted US Window and ordered the final 22 windows with no concerns. If one could love a window, I love these. I Replaced every window in the house, 15 windows and 1 sliding glass door with Milgard. The originals were 25 year old aluminum clad, builder grade windows. Hard to open, leaked air and gave zero noise protection. US Window & Door worked extremely with the covid-19 restrictions and finished the entire house (2 story) in two days because inclement weather was to start on day three. THEY DID IT! I was initially skeptical, but they made it happen. Upon final inspection by the lead installer, he pointed out two rather minor defects and told me that they would be replaced with new units. That too was done in a timely manor. I now have extremely easy to open, insulated (Spray foam insulation), and QUIET windows. I would estimate approx. a 90% reduction in noise. Very unethical owner. We agreed to the project and I signed the contract. BUYER BEWARE! The owner kept changing the specs for the window. When I pointed out that we had a contract, he ever so nicely pointed out the section that states he can cancel it anytime. So I went along with the changes. But it was not over. A few days later he AGAIN insisted on making changes and said it would now cost DOUBLE for the labor. Needless to say, we did finally come to one agreement - that US Window & Door was not going to install our window. read more

Windows are a funny thing--through the process of finding a provider - I was told by a few- that windows are not a "fun" home expense. And I was looking AT windows rather than THROUGH them for quite some time when we decided to start this process. I had a friend recommend a few places and US WINDOW and DOOR was one of them. They were the final company I had to come and give us their quote and recommendations. I learned a little more with each company that came out - and US WINDOW and DOOR really helped point me in the direction of what I wanted and (unknowingly) needed. Windows are a very big expense and they were the only company that was supportive in my wants to do this project in phases for budgeting reasons. COVID delays were extreme - but they were proactively communicative on all steps. They let us know about product delays, and crew delays for install. They were incredibly open to answering all questions that I had along the way. When (FINALLY!!) the crew was able to come in for install- they were courteous and friendly. They were on time (even early!) and were very mindful of our home and our lifestyle being that we still are working from home at times.
