The crew speaks limited English, and Ruben failed to properly relay instructions. -Constant Rescheduling & Delays: The project was plagued with intentional delays because they were trying to juggle randoms crew members to the job site. They do not have a dedicated crew. To keep the job moving, I had to step in and install my stove hood myself. Quality of Work: -Minimal Supervision & Costly Mistakes: Ruben was only on-site for 30 minutes to an hour a day. The crew made frequent errors, wasted materials, and ultimately cost me an extra $5,000 in materials. I've been very happy with the quality, and East Star is still my favorite flooring supplier. Cons: The tile selection is a bit less appealing compared to the rest of the showroom. Cabinet parts are not labeled, which made assembly more time-consuming for my contractor. The standard particleboard cabinets are a good value, but I noticed slight warping on a few cabinet doors that made perfect alignment difficult. The upgraded cabinet panels performed noticeably better. Since there is no onsite measurement service, a few field conditions weren't fully captured during the design process, resulting in some installation conflicts (such as gas pipe clearance and an oven/fire door swing conflict). If your project has a more complicated layout, I'd recommend having your contractor& architect carefully verify all dimensions before ordering. The showroom is quite popular, so appointments and order processing can take some time. Planning ahead is a good idea if you're on a tight renovation schedule. For context, I also purchased cabinets from another local supplier that was only slightly more expensive and included complimentary design, onsite measurements, and installation options. In my experience, the service and standard cabinet quality were slightly better there. That said, East Star still offers outstanding value, especially if you're managing your own renovation. We brought it back to the store, but they refused to exchange. The warehouse staff claimed that the installer had opened the package and checked when picking it up. However, the package was only opened enough to verify that the correct item was inside--it was never fully unpacked or inspected for damage. There was no reasonable way to see this damage without actually opening the entire package. I understand that damage can happen during shipping or handling, but the customer should not be left responsible for damage that was not reasonably possible to discover at pickup. I would strongly recommend that other customers carefully inspect the entire item before accepting or taking it home, and be aware of the store's after-sale services. To be fair, the sales staff were helpful and professional. My complaint is specifically about the after-sale service and the warehouse staff refusal to take responsibility for a damaged product.

Ken from Glass 23 really saved my project.. After a bathroom remodel with full backsplash, we…read morediscovered that original shower doors no longer fit the new opening. Not only that, but the wall isn't perfectly level from top to bottom on the right. I called around looking for a company that can get me one side of a glass door. Most places (a) never return my phone call after they promised they would, or (b) gave me the run around by asking me to generate a diagram (!) before they would sell me one. Ken was the only one who was willing to work with me to get me what I needed. He asked me what my hinges look like so the glass door will be ready for install with the same hinges. Also asked me to measure the distance between the shower panel and the wall (wall wasn't plumb so it was different width). He then created me a diagram with the design to order me a replacement door with the information provided. There was no way I could've drew up a design like that those other places just wanted to get rid of me I guess. The custom shower door that came was even larger at top than at bottom just like my opening just how I measured it! Lastly, Ken was easy to get in contact with and extremely responsive. His turnaround time was 5 days which allowed me to proceed with my finishing my project. The door fit perfectly and impossible to tell that the opening isn't plumb. Trust me when I say I called everyone and some of the places wanted to charge many times more to procure a "custom" panel that Ken was able to procure for less. Recommend calling Glass 23 before you bother with other places. Most of those places do not want your business unless it's a full replacement and installation. I think Glass 23's full installation is also considerably less as well. Highly recommend Glass 23 and I would hire Ken if I ever need to replace a new custom shower doors.

I didn't hear from him for 4 days about the status of the glass after paying the deposit which had me concerned. Fixtures ended up being delayed by a wk but that wasn't his fault. There was a very small scratch I saw after the installers left but tbh I can't see it unless I open the blinds and the sun is reflecting into the bathroom. Does an excellent job keeping the steam in.
