I highly recommend BMH Electric after they replaced the remaining knob and tube wiring in my house. An advantage of working with them is that you have an electrician with over 30 years of experience who is onsite for the entire job. We initially hired Brian to help our condo association with installation of exit signs in our hallways. He did a great job so we hired him again to do some electrical work in our own condo unit. We needed our fuse box relocated from a bedroom closet to behind the bedroom door to be up to code. He also installed new recessed lighting in our hallway and living room and above our dining table. These guys are honest, reliable, skilled, fast, and fairly priced. What more can I say? We recently moved into a house in Half Moon Bay that needed electrical work . We had a long list of smaller jobs, including replacing faulty outlets, rewiring a gardening shed, and hard-wiring high-speed internet for our son's bedroom. But it's an old house, and we weren't sure if we needed to upgrade or repair the main fuse box or not. Brian came out to assess the job and provide a quote. He was on-time, polite, super clear in his communication, and explained the pros and cons of upgrading the fuse box. There was no pressure, no scare tactics, and no b.s. He provided an estimate, we agreed to what work he would do, and we scheduled our repair days. He and his assistant arrived right on time, but by then we decided we wanted him to do a few extra wiring jobs, including hard-wiring the doorbell, installing an extra outlet on the front of the house, and installing a few extra dimmer switches. It was no problem. He was also examined the main fuse box, and was very honest about the fact that we didn't need to upgrade it right away. All the work was done quickly and expertly. I worked from home, and he made sure I had power and Internet access when I needed it. AND ... they even finished a full day sooner than expected. Brian came within just a couple hours on a Friday before the long holiday weekend to replace our smoke detectors. When I first inquired, I explained I had just one bad one. Brian is a pleasure to work with. He replaced a large number of lights on the ceiling of our big room. The ceiling is high and parts of it are hard to reach.
