I reach out to them about a car in inventory - iX M60 on Friday Afternoon. I look at the details online (there are no photos yet)and do my research on the car. Me & my family head out there at 4:30pm and we take a test drive. During the test drive I gave an offer. The salesperson had a cutoff around 5pm so we decide we'll catch up online later. So we leave. Soon they accept my offer and send me the price printout at 5:30pm. I noticed in the printout - the mileage is noted as 32,000mi where in the listing in bmwseattle the mileage was 18,000mi. So i immediately let the salesperson know. He said he'll look into it next morning. The next morning the salesperson confirms and we negotiate on the price over text and we agree. Now at 11:15am - we just set a pickup time of 12-12:30pm today & we start heading out. Suddenly, I get a text back at 11:30am from my salesperson that there is another person in the dealership who is now out in a test drive with the car and they'll let me know if it doesn't go through. I'm like "wait! What?" the rep told me - another rep took the car on a test drive. I ask "why dont you tell them the car is sold?" They offer me "another car is coming in which we can offer you as backup". Then after I vent my frustration- the sales manager reaches out to explain that the second person was already on a test drive and they have the right to buy the car. Also tells me that the posted car photos have the mileage correct at 32,000 even though the listing says 18,000. I told him "the photos were not posted yesterday to the website". He tells me: "oh well, they are up now". Anyways - i hang up at this point realizing this is not a useful conversation. This made a huge difference because we were able to get a lot accomplished over the phone on a Sunday. I had been searching for a very specific car, and when I found it, I immediately called the dealership. I was quickly connected with a sales representative, Jay Estrella, who was outstanding from start to finish. He guided me through every step of the process, provided consistent updates, and answered all of my questions and concerns. The worst service. I had a oil leak need to fix, but the day I came in they don't have loaner car, so I rescheduled it and had make appointment for loaner car and it was confirmed on my email and confirmed physically by the front desk and a service advisor, and they cancelled it last minute over a email. I was going to purchase a cheap used vehicle they had on the lot. The bank said the dealership never returned their calls regarding the loan. They also said it's not the first time that they have this problem with this dealership. BMW swears they didn't receive any calls from the bank. I've used the creditor before on my previous car loan and they were very efficient, terrible interest rate but that's my fault not the creditors. Either BMW was lying to me or the bank was by that point I was so frustrated with the process I gave up. I've never had this much difficulty getting a car. I brought in my car for oil change and other services and was told that it will take 4-6 hrs... This location no longer offers loaner car unless you call in 2 weeks in advance to schedule for one . However, they will give you a SINGLE Uber voucher up to $20 that can be used on the same day via a single trip. I get it with no loaner but giving out just a single trip Uber voucher to cover only a one way trip is non-sense. Maybe they can consider giving out 2 vouchers each worth $10-$15 instead to cover for round trip. They have no one to drop you off even though my destination was only 3 blocks away in the Int'l District (FYI, it's sketchy to wander around that area by foot). I was told that the Bellevue BMW offers round trip drop offs if you do services there, I'm coming to the Seattle location cus I bought my car here but I guess I will need to reconsider switching to Bellevue BMW instead. read more

Went in for a scheduled test drive after multiple confirmations with the dealership on the same day. I drove 45 minutes to BMW Seattle for the exact time slot they gave me, only to be told after arriving that the car had been sold two days earlier. They then offered another similar vehicle for a test drive, but after waiting 40 more minutes, that never happened either. This was a complete waste of time and an example of extremely poor coordination and customer service. Last Friday, I dropped of my car at a 1PM appointment for an oil change. There was a function I needed to attend at 7PM and was told there would be no problem the appointment should only take a few hours. It was surprising to hear nothing until 5:55 when I got a call saying the oil was changed but my tires were bad and I needed new ones. When I asked about the normal inspection video which was not received, an abbreviated one was quickly prepared. An estimate of over $6500 was sent to my text. That is $1625.00 per tire? High end Pirreli's are $450 each. Oh yes and the tires needed to be ordered. Nothing until Monday. Needless to say, I could not get my car until the next day (when the call arrived I was 15 minutes away and they closed in 5). When I called at 7AM on Saturday, again I told my rep Riley, that I had another event at 11AM. He gave me the option to check around for tires as I really needed to get home because I live out of state and have animals to care for so did not want to wait until Monday. After checking around, I decided to order the tires from Riley. I could not get him to return my calls or texts. After a couple of hours without hearing, I called and was told he was working and they would send him an email. Finally he responded by asking if I found tires. By that time I had already missed my Granddaughter's 11AM event and was frustrated, I texted him no I had not found them but I would figure it out. He was very fine with that and lost my business. Because of the incredibly poor customer service and sad communication as well as being treated so poorly, the last thing I wanted to do was beg Riley to sell me tires. To add insult to injury, when I returned the loaner car and picked up my car, it took over 30 minutes to bring my car to the front. The tires were purchased elsewhere and my business has gone elsewhere too. My recommendation is try somewhere else, or maybe a different rep than Riley. read more

The salesperson, Robert G., is knowledgeable and thoroughly professional, answering all of my questions, spending plenty of time walking me through the car's features and helping me set things up when I took delivery, and he actually followed up to check how things were going after the sale. TL;DR: Bought a 2021 Subaru Forester from BMW of Seattle in March 2025. Shad Walker made the process easy, low-stress, and fair. The car was priced well, in great shape, and the staff stayed friendly and helpful even months later. Highly recommend this dealership. I waited six months before writing this so I could give an honest, long(ish)-term review. After my RAV4 was totaled in February, I started searching for a safe, affordable car. I did my research but knew I needed to see cars in person to really decide. On March 12, 2025, I called BMW of Seattle and spoke with Shad Walker about a 2021 Subaru Forester. He got us in that same afternoon, just a few hours later. The car looked great. BMW of Seattle had no problem with me getting it independently inspected, and it came back perfect. No rust, FULLY detailed, and priced very competitively. They actually had a really solid mix of cars too, everything from well-kept options under $10k to newer models like the one I bought for $28k. (All the way up to ultra-luxury $200k+ vehicles.) It didn't feel like you had to spend a ton of money to get something reliable. Shad joined us for the test drive and inspection, he was easygoing, never pushy, and shared stories along the way without making it feel awkward or forced. When I told him we'd have to come back the next day to finalize the purchase because we didn't have the check yet, he was completely understanding. On March 13, we came back to buy the Subaru. Shad had the car cleaned again before we arrived, which apparently is standard at BMW of Seattle (And LITHIA Dealership Group overall,) but still felt like a nice, personalized touch. The whole buying process was smooth, low-stress, and even enjoyable... not what I usually expect when buying a car. Shad didn't push extra warranties after we politely declined, and he worked within what the finance department allowed to make things fair (Negotiation!) . After signing the paperwork, we walked out to a freshly detailed Subaru with a big white bow on it. On April 21, I got a call and text that my plates had arrived. They offered to mail them for free, but I chose to pick them up. The pickup was quick and easy, and again, everyone was friendly. Six months later, I still love my Subaru and have zero regrets. The whole experience at BMW of Seattle was relaxed, respectful, and welcoming, even though I was buying a used Subaru and not a luxury BMW. Free espresso, cold brew, sodas, water, and snacks were available in the lounge, but honestly, everything was so fast we barely had time to sit down. If you're thinking about buying a car here, I can't not recommend it. Shad Walker in particular was fantastic to work with. They first induced a $1,000 "reservation" deposit based on a publicly advertised price and verbal confirmation for a specific VIN, then later attempted to increase the price by over $1,500 with no clear, upfront explanation. They obscured who actually controlled the sale by abruptly inserting an off‑site, largely anonymous "Driveway" team into the process, insisting all further steps occur through them rather than the dealership that took the deposit and showed the car. Response back to the manager on his commentary: That is correct, there was very minor paint damage to the front bumper which I disclosed, and the plastic casing around the front camera was cracked, but the camera and entire system was operational. Again, all disclosed with photos. What you fail to mention is 1) when I provided the VIN and the photos, your initial pricing seemed to indicate you looked up a baseline S4 because Zak then asked me to send him the window sticker when I did. From when I sent that window sticker, days went by and I had to reach out to Zak to get an update. Rather than give me an update on the pricing, he said "let's just discuss it when you come in to get the new car." That's a shady tactic. Basically "want to know what we will give you? Come in and we will tell ya!" Beyond that, other reviewers have said the same thing about the trade in valuations here. Further, I was buying a new car for my wife and at the dealership she bought a car for, they priced my car significantly higher than yours, WHILE LOOKING AT IT. I initially told Zak there were two potential car deals in the works if we could find something reasonable on the Z4. I have posted before about buying my 228i here (smoothest transaction out of the 12 car purchases I have made over two decades) but I wanted to give a particular shout-out to their service department and Jay Caley in particular. I recently scraped the rim on my car and I was devasted by the damage (cosmetic only). I contacted BMW of Seattle thinking the only solution would be a new rim ($$$) and Jay had me send him photos and told me they could get it 90+ percent better with a much cheaper repair. Not only was the repair completed well ahead of schedule, it looks flawless! You'd never know what had happened. Disappointing experience with Internet Manager (CB). I was very interested in purchasing a 2021 M2 that was recently listed. It would have been an out-of-state purchase (I live in California). I was interested in doing an outside pre-purchase inspection but, a salesman told me that they don't allow it. I asked if I could get a copy of the service department's inspection report which I never received. I requested CB to send me photos of the oil pan cover. I wanted to verify there were no oil leak stains. CB would take 2 to 4 hours to respond to my text messages. The time I did have him on the phone he was quick to end the conversation when a customer entered the dealership. I could not believe his lack of effort and poor customer service. I never received any photos that I requested. What I did get was a low quality video of CB trying to open the locked door of the M2 and him getting excited while he was spinning the floating center caps. I was ready to make an offer and move forward but, his slow actions made it impossible. As I patiently waited for the photos he sent me a message that the M2 was sold. read more

Inquired about a car they had just received. It wasn't ready to be test driven and needed a safety inspection, but they wanted me to put a deposit down to reserve it in case someone else wanted to purchase it. It's a tough market, but I have time, and I'm not giving a dealership money for a car that I have no idea on how it runs. I also refused to come in because why waste that time to "look" at the car. It's 2023, we have photography. There are too many horror stories of people not getting their deposit back, and I didn't want to take a chance even though I was told it was refundable. 11 days later, I finally receive a text from Mike stating the cars ready to be test driven and to come in later that day. 20 minutes later (and before I got a chance to read the first text), Mike tells me his manager is telling him that the car hasn't passed inspections and it can't be test driven... 10 minutes later, he tells me someone put a deposit down, and it's marked as sold now. I had high hopes for this place because of all of their raving reviews, but their behavior was very "scheme-ish" hence why I checked out a few other dealerships while waiting for the car to "be ready". Customer service team needs to step it up here and teach your reps how to appropriately talk to customers, follow up - and give a sh!*. Now I have sluggish movement from the eccentric shaft motor on startup. For 6K, that should be a solid completed, worry free repair. Apparently the mechanics are just not skilled at this location. Do not go, do not pay, do not buy a BMW. End of story. I can provide receipts and dates. I'll verify my eccentric valve issues are related to a poor install, most certainly. read more

Joshua l. Service manager. Has terrible attitude. He was very rude. After asking for second key information including cost and when it would be available, he did not answer me. He then wanted to ask me why I would want a second key. 7 o'clock at night during the dinner hour he asked if I could speak I said briefly. We had left a message yesterday. Why he would want me to have to explain and like make a case for why I would want to key was quite surprising. Then he said he didn't need all that detail. Have you ever felt like you've just been punked?! Then he rattled off the cost which he could've done immediately especially when I told him I only had a minute. He was then like are we done and I said well since you're my service manager I'd like to have a new service manager. He promptly hung up. I don't know what's going on with him but Service is not what he should be doing right now. It can be trying times for people with or without Covid. There should be a little grace and he was very short with me. I even brought up the point of this , But it obviously didn't get through. Thus, after trying to work things out with him and he clearly doesn't seem to care, I feel it is my duty to share my experience. Best car buying experience ever. Thursday, made contact with BMW Seattle (Mike from sales) - established txt contact. Explained I wanted to trade in my Tesla MY, 48,000 miles almost 5 years old. Wanted to lease i4 xdrive. He was transparent, told me about the $8500 rebates, the dealer discount on the car etc... Bottom line explained my Tesla MY was worth more than the lease, and I could walk in, and drive out in new i4 for zero down, zero dollar payments for 36 months AND a check for $2500. Couple of days later, we did almost exactly that, check for $1500, because of a couple of minor dings on my trade in. Rachel, the finance person - super fast, no BS, paperwork signed in under 10 min. I went to get my rear brakes done and there's still squeaking. I texted the repair person and they had an auto reply to text someone else. Don't you think you should at least reply. It just tells me that you wanted my money and didn't want to take responsibility for the shitty work done. I'm afraid now that you guys probably didn't change my oil correctly. I wouldn't go here to get work done. Maybe buy the parts but take it elsewhere. My trust in this place is gone. The time before this last time I was here, I got new tires from them and the tpms was being crazy. They kept telling me to drive it off and I did and kept coming back. They've eventually fixed it but was a hassle eating my time. They don't complete their work thoroughly and just rush it. Also, Please put the stuff back where it belongs when you're done. I had stuff in my spare tire compartment that was not put back. My spare blanket and compartment cover was bent. Be considerate. read more

Last week, I stopped by to pick up some parts for my 335is, and TJ in the parts department was incredibly helpful and efficient in getting me what I needed. While I was there, I also visited the sales department to start looking for an X1 for my girlfriend. Riley greeted me and showed me around the available X1s, including a few loaner options and a 2020 model that we plan to come back and test drive this weekend.
