I recently found myself an owner of a BMW 7 Series with a battery that loved to die. I knew this wouldn't be as simple as swapping it the battery on my Honda, so I found Finesse Auto and made an appointment. The online booking system was super easy. The location is in a hectic little corner of Georgetown, but the moment I walked into the lobby it was clear that this place made an effort to be clean, professional, and hospitable. The customer lounge is accommodating with plenty of power and usb outlets, snacks, water, coffee, and WiFi. As they worked on my vehicle they were up front and transparent about all pricing, pointed out other issues to bring to my attention, but were never pushy or up-selling about any of the additional maintenance recommended for my vehicle. A new battery for a BMW is not cheap. I knew this going in. But I felt good about my experience at Finesse and that my car was in expert hands. Midway through getting new tires at Costco, the tire center called and told me my lug nuts were failing but they couldn't replace them. They couldn't even take them off? I did a brief search on my phone for a Mercedes shop and found Finesse. A quick call later and I had new lug nuts ordered. I was taken aback by how friendly the person was who helped me out and how easy they made it. Quite a relief. I received a call a week later to tell me the nuts were there and I made my new tires appointment, and throughout finesse made it easy. They told me I could come down anytime and they would put the new lug nuts on for me at no charge, which meant I could make the tires appointment any time. I can tell you this was a new experience for me - in the past I generally felt at the mercy of the shop and the particular folks who were working that day. At finesse I felt like I was in good hands. Their relaxed atmosphere, the amazing customer lounge with snacks and coffee - very welcoming. The communication was clear and helpful throughout. I will be taking my car to Finesse in the future, that is for certain. Had I known about Finesse, I could have called them first for the tires themselves and saved myself the trouble. We had an alternator fail in our Cayenne while up visiting from San Diego. In a hurry to get it done we mistakenly took it to Porsche Seattle North where they tried to sell us a battery we didn't need and after two days in their shop they accomplished nothing. We took it to Finesse and they diagnosed the bad alternator, installed a new one and we were out the door the next day. Great service, a clear communication of the repair plan, periodic updates and less expensive then inept dealership. Highly recommended. read more

All was good .....there was rust in rear rotors while the front ones were clean. The cause I believe was the vehicle sitting for weeks in wet weather which caused some rust to form on all the rotors. It was first then driven to Finesse and since the front brakes do 60-80% of the braking the front rotors got the rust removed by normal braking... while the rear didn't get enough use to remove all the rust. I then ran the car for about 1/2 hour using the brakes often. The rear rotors are now shiny and rust free. read more

I purchased a Groupon coupon for $68, advertised as a $179 value, and scheduled an appointment. However, at the end of the visit, they provided a printout showing the quoted price for the oil change as $68--far from the $179 value claimed on the coupon. The printout also included other recommended replacements, such as a headlamp bulb for $70--a simple plug-and-play replacement that takes about a minute to DIY, as demonstrated in YouTube videos. They also quoted $79 for windshield wiper replacement, which I ended up purchasing on Amazon for $16 and replacing myself in under a minute. Additionally, there were other items listed in the printout. Overall, this experience felt like a rip-off. The Groupon coupon failed to deliver its advertised value, and the additional pricing seemed to rely on bait-and-switch tactics. read more

Went in to get my sienna lifted and it turned out great! No longer need to baby the car on all the various bumps. The lift kit I went with is Journey (the best for siennas) and they are a Journey certified installer. The owner is a great, he is a perfectionist and really takes his time making sure everything is well tested and calibrated. Brought my car here after having 2 estimates from other shops. Sean was great to talk to and they got me right in. I made an appointment to get my engine mounts fixed. The car was fixed within hours of me dropping it off but the only problem is that I'm still having the same jerking and shaking problem as I did before bringing it in. The shop has been diligently trying to get me back in to schedule an appointment with a technician and have been in contact with me. Hopefully I can get this situation taken care of since they are so close to me and I can continue to go here. It was very easy to make an appointment and make the payment online. Not sure if dishonest or incompetent, but they are a waste of time. Just moved to Seattle, so I was looking for a place to service my Mercedes. This garage had good reviews so I messaged them. They took my VIN and gave me a new customer special: service B for $400. I liked the deal, so we scheduled for next week. After confirming everything by text the day before service, I arrived and got hit with a classic bait and switch. Cisco said that the service is actually $800 instead of $400 which is way more than other offers I received. When I pointed out the discrepancy, he gave me the unoriginal "my assistant made a mistake", "we have a new software system" and "servicing at the dealer is even more expensive". Complete waste of time. Don't trust their quotes and just go elsewhere. read more

Diagnostics on point, recommended a plan and conducted solid repair work. Not only did they figure out where the leak was, they provided me the information to give to the dealership to address under warranty. Saved me about $5k. So of course I take the car there now for everything- most recently was 10yrs/130k miles and had to install a failed oil pump, done on time and for a fair price. Fin has a sign in his office that says, "You can't deposit excuses". He needs a sign that says, "Exceed customer expectations on every level and they will return".
