Dinner and drinks at the Sky Pavilion in Nashville, TN

The food was good, but the service was a little slow. I had to get up and order another Corona and Sprite because the waiter didn't make it back to our table. Eventually, I just ordered straight from the bar. Very nice place though.

First off the view is amazing and seating options are great. You can choose from couches or tables and chairs or the bar. We started with the pimento cheese appetizer. We thought it could've been so much better, it was bland and saltine crackers were not special. The chicken sandwich and fries was good. The appetizer that was chicken fingers with cheese and sauces on top was not good. The chicken looked like it had been cooked twice but still wasn't hot. The short rib sandwich, which our server said was her favorite was not edible. It was so tough you couldn't chew it. They must have different people cooking and some have no idea what they're doing. There was a manager walking around but he was moving so quickly we couldn't engage with him to say what we thought. In conclusion the atmosphere is fantastic but the food lacks in many of their dishes.

My dad is an Air Force veteran. At 83, he still loves to watch planes take off and land - he finds it beautiful and calming. So when we told him about BNA Sky Pavilion at the Hilton Nashville Airport, his eyes lit up. We had dinner there during sunset the other night, and he loved it so much it made me tear up. The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows are breathtaking, and watching the planes load up and take off or land peacefully in Nashville was an experience together that we'll really remember. Great food and drinks, unbelievable family memory.

Great place to have a drink and a bite and watch the planes land. The servers are friendly and the views are spectacular.

The modern design overlooks the airport strip, with a great view of planes taking off and landing, especially during sunset.

In the spirit of getting out and making an effort to explore my new city I decided to find a place to go and enjoy a solo date night and grab a fancy drink. You know the vibes a Carrie Bradshaw moment but make it Nashville style. I found this place via instagram and read all the great reviews and decided to get out and try it. A cozy place tucked and hidden in the heart of east Nashville. It is somewhat hidden with a small parking area but I was fortunate enough to get parking right in front. I walked in and the decor is pops of red and black mixed with gold. The light is dim so it's a perfect date night spot or place to meet and have an intimate small group gathering. It wasn't busy and I enjoyed that there wasn't too many people. The vibes are relaxed and I was greeted right away. Checking out the menu I decided on a spicy margarita concoction with tajin. The bartender brought it out and it was the perfect blend of flavor, spice and alcohol. It was refreshing and sweet/spicy. Perfect. This place is the perfect solo date night spot or date spot with your special someone or catch up sessions with friends. I enjoyed sitting, sipping and writing this review. Solo dates can be daunting and being in a new city can be daunting as well but finding hidden gems like this make it worth while. There's a quote that I love and that's "if you never go you'll never know." Don't let this be a place youll never know... head to your date with this place. Head to Amsterdamian.

I wish we had gotten his name but we were so impressed with the little gem we were sitting in we didn't make much small talk other than drink recommendations. They also have a few mocktails and snacks available. We were headed to dinner for our next stop so we didn't try anything but we definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some good cocktails in the area!

We went in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet still, but the bar tenders were friendly and helpful. And although I'm not a huge tequila fan, I was impressed with my drink. There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.
