Everytime I come to Darfons to eat I am beyond pleased. I always get a helpful and attentive server. The food is phenomenal. Today I had a prime rib and lobster ravioli which was a lunch special, but please don't sleep on the New Zealand lamb chops. 10/10

Great service, nice people and a delicious burger. It was actually burger night and I had the Gangster Burger done special for the evening with a fried egg, Gruyere cheese, crispy prosciutto, sautéed onions, and a bunch of other things. It was really good! The atmosphere was quiet and dark wonderful. Clean and classy, I saw the servers recognizing regulars. I'd go back

Went for HH. The servers/bartenders were socially pleasant and remained in tune with all customers. Portion was very filling. Taste was satisfactory. The Skinny Margarita was perfect. I plan to go back to try out some of the fan faves.

Deliciousness! Wagu burger with bacon and egg on top!

The food, the service, the ambiance...ALL were amazing! We were in town for a hockey tournament and heading to the airport. Had a little extra time and wanted a nice dinner and not airport food. The ambience was casual but upscale. The service was remarkable! Our waitress recommended this seared salmon and she could not have been more spot on! I loved the salmon, kale salad, sweet potato, with strawberry barbecue sauce so much I recreated it at home two days later! It was a hit at my dinner party! The pasta and hamburger were also very good but the salmon still a show! If we lived here we would definitely find this to be a regular spot for us!

Always great! Bar service is top-notch. Lots of friendly people surrounding bar. Good recommendation about wine purchase from McKenzie. The old fashioned ($8 on happy hour) is great as well. Started with their delicious Caesar salad ($7 for a small) with homemade dressing. Enjoyed the rare ahi tuna entree ($26) with asparagus and sweet potato for dinner. So delicious! Never had a meal here that wasn't scrumptious!

A great place to dine that is close to BNA airport. The food was great and the place was packed but luckily we came in right after 5:30 pm. The menu items are reasonably priced and foods are tasty. Definitely a great place to dine if you stay around Nashville airport area.

The billboard for the restaurant as I forgot to take a picture of our food.

The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the all around ambience of the restaurant was very nice and relaxed. It is a family owned establishment which checked my box because I like to support small businesses. My food was delicious. I had the Gorgonzola panko crusted pork tenderloin, with mashed potatoes, and garlic green beans, with a pepper and tomato brown sauce.

We were in search of a nice dinner that had great steak at a more affordable price than the Gaylord had to offer which is where we were staying. We made reservations at Darfons and were so glad we did. It was bustling! We were seated in the garage room which I had read in other reviews that it could be chilly and not as nice as the main room but it seemed fine to us. Our server Kevin P. was excellent - he was friendly, attentive and had great recommendations. My husband got the ribeye which was cooked perfectly to medium rare. I got the Gorgonzola crusted pork tenderloin which was very flavorful. It also came with a heaping serving of fresh green beans and tasty mashed potatoes--an excellent price for all the food. The night was topped off with the bread pudding. I forgot to take a picture of it because we made it disappear so quickly! Highly recommend!

We were in town for business and looking for Prime rib for one of our party and stumbled on Darfons. I can definitively say, we made the right call. 6 of us went, 4 got Prime Rib, 1 got the Ahi Tuna and I got the Filet Medallions, Oscar and WOW....The food was amazing. The vibe is a casual steak house feel, not too loud but a great crowd. Our Server, Michelle was absolutely amazing. She made excellent recommendations and was very attentive to our table, no glass ever went empty. We are going to be back in town next week and we will eat here again on Thursday ;-).

A wonderful variety of food options. Food came out promptly and the staff is wonderful. Impressed with the presentation as well. You can tell they pride themselves not just on the quality of the food but how it is presented. The ambiance is nice and you can dress up or down. Conveniently located and plenty of parking in the area.

Crab Cakes & Gnocchi with Lobster Cream Sauce - The Gnocchi blew away the Crab Cakes
    Joe S.

Darfons looked promising but I'll say I was disappointed with what I ordered. I started with the Tuna Tartare which looked beautiful, but it was a puree of tuna. I swear they put it in a pastry piping back and squirted it onto the avocado base. It was hard to enjoy as it was very toothpaste-like. Brusha, Brusha, Brusha! The Gnocchi with Crab Cakes was both good and bad. The "Maryland" Style Crab Cakes were made with shreds of crab, and no hint of a lump to be found. The chef must love just butchering proteins beyond recognition as again, the consistency was smooth with no structure. Totally NOT worth the price at all... for shame for calling this Maryland Style. The Gnocchi portion was amazing though... the lobster cream sauce was so good and it was filled with mushrooms and other bits of goodness. This is the only reason it's 3 starts instead of 2 though. Service was so-so... I waited a good 10 minutes for someone to visit my table in the bar area to even give me a menu. Then it was slow after that. I think it was just my waitress as I saw other tables get a lot more attention... Just my luck, I got the flake. If you're staying at a hotel nearby, this may be the reason to give it a try, but honestly, I don't think I'd go back. I'd probably do the Chinese Buffet or Fox's Pizza Den next door... I didn't know those still existed!

In the spirit of getting out and making an effort to explore my new city I decided to find a place to go and enjoy a solo date night and grab a fancy drink. You know the vibes a Carrie Bradshaw moment but make it Nashville style. I found this place via instagram and read all the great reviews and decided to get out and try it. A cozy place tucked and hidden in the heart of east Nashville. It is somewhat hidden with a small parking area but I was fortunate enough to get parking right in front. I walked in and the decor is pops of red and black mixed with gold. The light is dim so it's a perfect date night spot or place to meet and have an intimate small group gathering. It wasn't busy and I enjoyed that there wasn't too many people. The vibes are relaxed and I was greeted right away. Checking out the menu I decided on a spicy margarita concoction with tajin. The bartender brought it out and it was the perfect blend of flavor, spice and alcohol. It was refreshing and sweet/spicy. Perfect. This place is the perfect solo date night spot or date spot with your special someone or catch up sessions with friends. I enjoyed sitting, sipping and writing this review. Solo dates can be daunting and being in a new city can be daunting as well but finding hidden gems like this make it worth while. There's a quote that I love and that's "if you never go you'll never know." Don't let this be a place youll never know... head to your date with this place. Head to Amsterdamian.

Friendly bartenders happy to make whatever cocktail you'd like, and a list of specialties to choose from. They're a little limited in the liquor selection, but glad to run downstairs to the lobby bar, if they have something needed for your drink. Shared the pimento cheese appetizer. Really good pimento cheese, and the special crackers it was served with were excellent. Wife enjoyed a salad with shrimp. I did the fried shrimp hoagie. The shrimp were perfectly fried, the flavors spot on. Just have to ding them a little for the sandwich being completely structurally unsound. Most of the shrimp had already fallen out of the bread when it was served, and it was impossible to get the shrimp back on the sandwich long enough to get it to your mouth. Still enjoyed it, would just have preferred a true sandwich to something that required a fork and knife. Still highly recommend if you want a casual meal, a pleasant time, and a great view. We'll certainly be back.

There was no live music available at the time, but they did have a DJ which I thought was spinning the turntable rather well. It's my bad that I didn't also catch on that his is basically a Tequila Bar, rather than a more general craft cocktail establishment. Judging by the well stocked bar and the word of our waitress, other alcohol and their associated craft creations are available, but it's pretty much off menu and not well into our waitress' repertoire. And yes, Cinco de Mayo was just a few days away. One member of our party just wanted a soft drink, which was not possible that night as their CO2 was down. That did make me wonder whether the non-alcohol drinkers had much to chose from here. I suppose we could have then wandered over to the Redemption Bar at Chief's? Anyway, we're not Tequila Drinkers, and since other drink options appeared to be guesswork, we left towards more traditional mixed drinks (and live music) at a nearby Printers Alley bar. This was a rare night that I really wanted a craft cocktail in a smooth environment, and in the end it just wasn't the same.
