We ordered crab rangoons for an appetizer, I think they use actually crab instead of imitation crab because they were slightly fishy. We ordered salt baked pork chops and lemon grass pork chops. If you're ever here get the pork chops. They're so crispy and so meaty and super delicious! We also go the pan fried noodles which were crispy on the edges but perfectly cooked in the middle! Food was really good when we went last night - chicken was fresh fish was fresh lobster and clams with black bean sauce were delish! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Food is not always like this and we were the only ones in the restaurant the first 20 minutes - later there were 2 other tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was so cold outside and I didn't eat all the dishes but it was good - vegetables were hot. I recently returned to the Mentor area for a visit and got a craving for Chinese food. after looking at various on line menus I decided to give This one a try as if offered several dishes I wanted to try. I decided to get delivery and that went well. The food is some of the best Chinese food I've had in DECADES. roast pork egg foo yung is a favorite and I'm picky about it. every bite had delicious pork and crisp vegetables, with a mild brown sauce served on the side. the Nor my guy , sticky rice filled with duck, pork,and vegetables Ari ed wrapped in a leaf and steamy hot and delicious. the bbq pork steamed buns were fluffy, sweet and with nice amount of pork inside. sweet n sour soup, a side of steamed rice, all better than average. lotus root cake was a treat I've never had before but will definitely order again, highly recommend the food. read more

Shrimp toast for $6 was nicely crunchy and with plenty of meat and accompanying sweet and sour sauce. The $10 pork egg foo young came with three huge patties and a gravy which had a tinge of sesame oil flavor and was piping hot. At $14 the oxtail was a fair deal with a good amount of meat mixed in with bone shards, onion pieces, and bean curd pieces. The pan fried noodles was a giant hunk of hard fried dry noodles and a separate quart of viscous soup with some greens and about 7 pieces of shrimp and about 7 small scallops. It also included an unwelcome piece of metal which is pictured. How did I get metal in my seafood soup? Yikes. read more

I grew up with Bo Loong, authentic Chinese food full of freshness and quick reliable service. Stop in for lunch, late night dinner, dim-sum is must or get it to go. I am partial to the pan fried noodles with greens, simple and huge portions with tons of flavor, with or without seafood. This recent visit my husband opted for a traditional old school combination plate, soup and egg roll and an entree, it's a full meal like a one stop shop. Ownership recently changed hands, so it's not quite the same anymore, but that doesn't mean I won't continue to support a local staple in Mid-town. Keep in mind Bo Loong still doesn't have a liquor license, but you can bring in your own beverage of choice. read more

After I read the reviews I regretted my decision. Boy was I wrong to ever regret this decision. We ordered har gow, Sue my, shrimp wonton soup, gin bough, turnip cake, egg yolk custard steam bun (WOAH), and golden mushroom ball. Everything was delicious and meticulously packed and presented. That's a big thing for me because if the food looks nasty or messy, I'm not going to eat it. I am SO HAPPY we ordered from here and will order again and again. Order food from here, you will not be disappointed...unless you're one of these people who voted less than 5 starts. I can't comment on their in-person service but we ordered via door dash on a Wednesday night at 6pm and it arrived by 7:15pm. Also, as long as the food is good, I don't care about in-person service. The food is good but the service is some of the worst I've seen. We asked for rice with our order but never got it. The waitress there seemed to treat other Asians with more curtesy and non Asians a little less so. The one thing that absolutely killed any chances of coming back was when she brought the check, we were gonna add the tip since we don't carry cash and she shows up saying they only take cash tips. We said we don't have cash for the tip and the lady clicked her tongue and then hovered over us to see how much of a tip she was getting with the check. Decided to throw my mom her 60th birthday surprise party at Bo Loong and it was a success! It was the most affordable restaurant to host 20 or so people, without feeling like we had a huge bill to pay. She was so surprised and there was enough food for our guests to bring leftovers home, if they wanted. We had asked for the chinese-styled family dinner menu ahead of time for the 2 tables we booked, which each table included a total of 10 set dishes plus a soup starter. For $20 per person (before tip), I thought it was reasonable! The Deluxe VIP Dinner included the following dishes (with no substitution): - Deluxe seafood soup - Special soy sauce shrimp - Whole crispy fried chicken - Double lobster with ginger & scallion - Fresh steamed whole fish - tilapia - Assorted seafood in the hot pot - Peking style pork lion - Double happiness in a bird's nest - Braised soft noodle with mushroom - VIP fried rice One downfall is that the set menu only had one dish which was fully vegetarian (braised soft noodles), so for the vegetarian at the table, we had to order him another dish so he can actually enjoy dinner. Overall, that Saturday night was really quiet and I was glad we had the larger room for our party alone, so we weren't disrupting other guests. From growing up in the Chinatown area and having had many meals at Bo Loong, the decor and ambiance has not changed since I was a child in the 90's. I feel like the dining rooms are still really dark and eerie feeling. The bathrooms have not been update for a while, so don't be alarmed. It's been a long time since I last visited but I remember it being very good with an amazing dim sum cart for appetizer selections.

Probably the best dim sum in Cleveland. I came here on a recommendation with a friend and was surprised because the place was absolutely empty, but wow was it worth it. I don't normally eat dim sum but my friend said we had to go to this place and it was his favorite. He did all the ordering and half the stuff I didn't know what I was eating I believe it was shrimp, pork, and another fish in the dim sum I had. All of it was good and came instantly because they take it off a cart. Everything was great, the service was awesome and I only took pictures of stuff I already ate because before I ate it it was perfectly arranged. Also the hot and sour soup was delicious. Price wasn't bad ended up being $54 for three people, can't really best that. read more

I visited Bo Loong while on the Asiatown Food Tour and was so surprised. This spot is so underrated, and in my opinion, a best kept secret. All the foods we tried were delicious. I wish I still had the Asiatown Food Tour menu - but I was impressed. I especially loved the dumplings, which were perfectly juicy and satisfying. All the dishes had great presentation and they seemed to have a diverse menu for vegetarians and carnivores alike. I liked the vibe in Bo Loong. I also saw a stage and what I believed to be some karaoke equipment. The interior is huge, with a disco ball and countless opportunities for seating. I bet this place gets hoppin' sometimes with both authentic, delicious food and great entertainment. I can't wait to come back here on my own! read more

There aren't as many dim sum options as LiWah, but the food is just as delicious and 20% cheaper! Judging by the quality of the dim sum, I'm excited to try other dishes. The service was incredibly quick, the cart came by almost as soon as we'd sat down. The carts don't keep the food steaming hot, so some of the food was lukewarm when served. We've been coming here mainly for dim sum because their price is more reasonable. Tbh, I try not to dine in unless I have to. The place is old and dirty and definitely needs a makeover. The staff is very rude and unfriendly. They often seat us in the corner far from the main door. It would take many wavings to get their attention and for them to push the dimsum cart over. They take forever to bring out water, utensils and a simple veggie (Chinese broccoli) dish. The food isn't too bad. We like their fried rice, siu mai, xiao long bao, and shrimp steamed rice rolls. Pros: variety of the dishes, relatively fast pace of the carts, prices are rather reasonable, taste of the dishes, presentation of dishes Cons: so there is parking but it's TIGHT. Accident waiting to happen on the weekends! Everyone there speaks Cantonese so if you speak only Mandarin, you'll have a hard time understanding and ordering food. Only some of the staff know some English. The bill isn't itemized so you'll just have to guess what your tea and dishes cost. The portions used to be reasonable but in recent years, the prices have gone up or stayed the same while quantities for certain dishes decreased, unfortunately. read more

Beautiful, large facility decorated super Asian! I recommend the Asian BBQ since they recently received a new chef from Toronto! Honey Walnut Shrimp - fantastic and authentic! Plump whole shrimp lightly battered over a bed of steamed broccoli. They used the traditional sauce of mayo + honey + sweetened condensed milk. Candied walnuts on top. Beef ho fun noodles - on pointe. not too greasy. good ratio of noodles to goodies Roast duck and roast pork are well made. I definitely recommend these. Really underrated; the wait may be a bit (but that's because they have limited chefs) but the food is great! We got a house special with sliced taro, peanuts, pork , and greens (5 *s), lily roots (an uncommon dish and well done), and a bao zai fan (clay pot rice) that was great! I read through the comments to see what people have experienced and realized that they have one thing in common: They ordered pork dish. I highly recommend trying beef or shrimp dish here! I came here on a Sunday to show a friend what dimsum was so I ordered the common dishes: har gow (shrimp dumpling), siumai (pork dumpling), turnip cake, sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, baked pork buns, har cheung (shrimp noodle rolls). He loved everything. I was extremely disappointed with service and food quality. They never asked us what we wanted to drink. None of the dishes tasted fresh/barely warm. I found chicken bones in the sticky rice; luckily, I didn't bite down too hard. Tons of fat in the baked pork buns. I won't be returning for dimsum. read more
