    Was in Cleveland for the weekend and I searched up dim sum. This place came up and I was very excited. Now in Toronto there is ALWAYS line up so I made sure we were there early so we can be one of the first ones. It should've been a flag that we got there just before open and the place was dark. No people nothing. We went to the grocery store to kill 5 mins and when we can back it was open. We were the second people seated. They got a star because the service was nice and they had dim sum carts (which isn't normal any more in Toronto) other than that the food was cold. The only dish I felt was good was the shrimp stuffed eggplant, but the same thing it was cold. I'm sure if it was hot it would've been so good. People started coming in at 1030 and the carts were then out and you can tell it was piping hot. Such a waste as we spent a lot for dim sum to be not good.

    After years of wanting to eat here, we finally brought a friend and her partner to celebrate her birthday. We arrived too late for the carts on Saturday afternoon, but we were quickly brought hot tea and menus. The interior was lovely, with traditional Chinese design and white tablecloths. For the first round, we chose the selection of the traditional dim sum. Everything was delicious, the standouts were the sui mei and the scallion pancakes. In our second round of orders, the crab Rangoon and the beef pan fried noodles were especially delicious. Please note that they do apply an 18% gratuity automatically. For four people our check was $110 including automatic gratuity and added gratuity, which I found quite reasonable for the amount of food and the attentive service. Looking forward to returning!

    The service at Li Wah is incredible, they really go above and beyond to accommodate vegetarian customers which I really appreciate. They have a large dim sum collection, plenty of which my friends and I could eat without meat. We also split the braised tofu with vegetables, it was delectable. The price is incredibly affordable for the portions. The atmosphere is clean and unique. Definitely will be hitting Li Wah again.

    Disappointed. Although we arrived before closing, we were immediately told by our server "last call so you have to order now." We understood that but still felt that we could have been more welcomed. The egg rolls were excellent. The pan fried noodles and orange chicken both appeared to be wonderful BUT both dishes were TOO SALTY.

    Har cheung fun (shrimp rice noodle roll) and pai gut (pork spareribs) both forgettable. Friends got to the dan tat before me.

    Ohio is not the first place to come to mind for dim sum, let alone Chinese food, but Li Wah does the job. Service is carts that are a bit fewer in number than is ideal, the menu hits all the dim sum fundamentals, and the vibe is exactly what you'd expect for a Chinese restaurant in from a few decades ago that put some effort in to being recognizably Chinese. As far as the food itself, nothing truly stood out - and we ordered the full gamut of dim sum staples. I will stay I was pleasantly surprised the feng zhao (chicken feet) and pei dan sau yuk jook (preserved egg and pork congee) were pretty good; the ngau paak yip (steamed ginger beef tripe) was properly cooked but missing the ginger, it was otherwise properly seasoned. But again we're not in an area known for Chinese food, and to that end Li Wah's dim sum more than does the job.

    Some things were very good and others were not. THe chicken and broccoli was very salty. The mango pudding was good and some of the dim sum I liked and some was so bland and slimy. The service was mostly ignoring us, which in a way worked out cause I didn't get more items so saved me money.

    Great dining experience! The service is friendly, attentive, and gives you complimentary tea when you sit down. There is ample parking. The decor inside is also nice and authentic, which adds to the experience. Our favorites were the steamed egg custard buns, chicken egg roll, sui mai, Singapore curry mai fun, and sticky rice in lotus leaf. We were not as fond of the veggie roll or the coconut and red bean pudding. They weren't bad, just less flavorful. I will definitely be returning!

    I realized tonight I do not like Dim Sum. We ordered 5 different dishes. And we ordered two soups one egg drop and one wonton both were delicious. But I did not like the dim sum. Bland, no flavor. Not for me. On the flip side this place is beautiful inside. Once you walk in there is several shops inside this plaza to go inside that have jewelry and all kinds of Chinese stuff like incense and cute little toys and odds and ends. There is plenty of parking right outside the front door which is nice for being in the downtown area. The beer my husband ordered was very good. I think if I ever came here again I would just get the meat and onions sauteed with rice and noodles. But we wanted to try something different and I realized I do not like dim sum. Now let's go get some tacos!!

    2025 was bad news. The dim sum was old and seemed like it had been sitting in the steamer for HOURS, and didn't not taste fresh. Even the "freshly made" items weren't good. The wait staff kept bringing trays of items no one wanted. Restaurant hasn't been updated in over two decades and seems like it's on its last legs hanging on by a thread. For folks who are from HK looking for authentic Cantonese food, save our time, money and miles and drive across the border to Markham. This was just sad.

    The place looks promising on social media I came for soup dumplings and the ones they served were dry no liquid at all and the potstickers lacked flavor and were a bit rubbery. The home style dumplings were ok the consistency seemed a bit off I didn't order anything else as I've seen all I needed to see. They also don't have high chairs or boosters. The decor is elegant this may have been an elegant place at one point in time. Seems to be ready for a revamp and refresh.

    Best dim sum in this area. Service is always fast. The place is located inside the asian plaza. Parking during busy times could be better

    They don't have buffet if I recall, but they do push carts around with fresh items on the weekend.

    Li Wah has many gluten free options. Unfortunately, the servers do not speak english well. Please ask for a manager.

    Is the Peking Duck worth a visit?

    Li Wah is well known for Peking Duck. It is available for dim sum on Saturday and Sundays after 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Otherwise, guest can order Peking Duck with little or no notice at all.

    Great meals with philosophical friends (1 of 2)…read more My friend who hails from and now again lives in the western suburbs of CLE introduced me to Joe's Fine Deli and this Chinese restaurant - King Wah - which are considered area gold standards for their respective cuisines and have stood the test of time. My friend said that they might have done some remodeling and might be "off line." Their website and my phone call confirmed that they were open for business. Thus, going here was then easily agreed upon. I don't write too many reviews for Chinese restaurants. That said, allow me to be a jerk and bring up some dynamics I see - not so much with Asian food - but with consumers of Asian food. In the tech suburbs on Portland's west side, I have been in eateries where WASPy and "boring as watching paint dry" techies come in for a take-out order of lunch. These same guys sing the praises for Thai and Indian food, which they order with a high spice quotient, and I wonder if it's to counterbalance their lack of personal pep. I have eaten spicy food from these regions on a few occasions that I ordered in "dumbed down" form, my nose ran the entire time, and I wound up later going home sick. Back to King Wah. I'm open to ethnically diverse food. It just cannot be spicy. King Wah serves up the broad spectrum of Cantonese staples that Americans often choose and love. They might offer some menu items beyond Cantonese ones. Spicy items on the menu are clearly identified with the "hot pepper" icon. For me, ordering in a Chinese restaurant is a no-brainer. Is it going to be cashew chicken, lemon chicken, or beef broccoli? I had the cashew chicken. My friend ordered one of the fish entrees. We sampled each other's food and both dishes received the nod of approval. I liked my cashew chicken because it was a very satisfying larger portion that was also very tasty. The interior is clean and features some of the decor you may often see in Chinese restaurants. The service was excellent - low key, polite, and informative. Because the fried rice is "sold" separately, the overall tab might be a tad higher, but not by much. I will now go off on another tangent. I ponder some strange angles to situations. It's obvious that the management and most of the staff at King Wah might hail from China. I wonder what it must be like to come to the U.S., open a restaurant in a catchment area that is mostly non-ethnic Americans, and become the greatest thing since sliced bread to your customer base. I'm just trying to process their perceptions and acclimation along a trek that non-ethnic Americans will never experience. (For what it's worth, my foreign-born parents certainly went through this, albeit not as restauranteurs.) It's all good because it happens to every immigrant group that opens up what become popular restaurants in the U.S. and Canada and it's an interesting thing to watch unfold ... at least to me. Again, I don't partake in this cuisine often, but when I'm ready to go, I'm ready! I'm not giving this restaurant 5 stars because I was hoping that that dollop of fried rice would have come with the meal, but King Wah is clearly a 4 star experience and I would recommend it highly to aficionados of more mainstream Cantonese Chinese cuisine.

My son enjoyed his Orange Chicken, and the crab Rangoon and egg rolls were good. However, my General Tso's chicken was not very good at all. Mostly breading, and what chicken existed was overcooked and tough. I will not be ordering that dish again from here. I'll try another one of my favorites next time, but I can make better General Tso's at home using my air fryer.
