I searched Yelp for a midway point between Riverside and HB to meet my son . It's been awhile since we had deli sandwiches and Board and Brew had great reviews. The food was excellent, I ordered the Baja chicken wrap- full of flavor and packed with protein. My husband ordered the Cobb salad which he said was good too. Generous amounts of chicken and very nice presentation. The place is super cute, it has a bar with beer, it also has a very nice patio area. This place has been my saving grace for 2 maternity leaves back to back years. We ordered here multiple times a week and even after that it's now probably once a week. I've been in a few times for a sandwich and a beer. It's a great relaxing time. They have a great variety. Staff is very friendly. Though the sandwiches are pricey, you get your moneys worth...usually. The reason for 4 stars is that recently we've noticed the quality of the sandwiches aren't what they use to be. Usually they are loaded with meat, but recently they've been lacking. This has happened on a few occasions. It's just such a bummer when you pay $15 for a sandwich and the quality is just not there. I'm writing this in hopes of management seeing it so they can improve. I love this place and it's usually a nice treat for me for the week I look forward too so I hope they can get their sandwiches back up to what they use to be. Also the secret sauce is fire. This is one of the best sandwich places in OC. The food is fresh and large portions. My favorite is the Chicken Club, but I have tried most of the menu and it is all good. Well the food our sandwiches anyway were very good and the bread tasted like they just made it. I had a BLT with turkey meat but they only put 2 slices of thin turkey meat on my sandwich so if you want more protein for your money you'll have to go elsewhere cause ive never been served a sandwich ever with 2 thin slices of meat folded over to look like it contains more meat otherwise my sandwich tasted good. Love Board & Brew sandwiches. They usually have a good selection of beers but normally we order for pick up. They are pretty consistent (you get what you expect) but every one in a while there is no seasoning on the chips or small portion of toppings on the sandwich. Will always be a great option for bringing sandwiches to the beach or camping. This location has lots of parking and lots of seating. I happen to be staying in a hotel adjacent and I had previously eaten at Board n Brews, 1or2 times over the past decades that I lived in California. I went in and asked a waiter "Brett" what he recommended and he said "hot or cold"? I told him both but, I wanted something I could eat tonight and then have the other half for breakfast. He gave me his suggestions, a spicy beef or Baja wrap. I chose the Baja Wrap to go but while I was waiting, he asked if I would like to sample one of their beers. I'm not usually a beer person but, he gave me a sample of a Calif IPA called "old abbey". It was very good so I asked if I could sit on their patio and eat the 1st half of my sandwich with a beer and of course he set me up and brought my beer & sandwich. Decided to go here for my mother-in-laws picnic party and grabbed some sandwiches for everyone before we headed to the park. Placed my order online, was able to change the pick up time to a little later so we could account for drive time, which was awesome. I have seriously picky kids in our family. They will not eat anything that isn't meat and bread, so when I placed the order online I put in the notes, just meat and bread please. I was extremely pleased that all of our sandwiches were made correctly to specification and they even included a great amount of secret sauce. I was so happy that all the kids were able to eat their sandwiches at the park, and all of the party go-ers were happy with their order. Given that it was lunchtime, the place was pretty full, but they made my sandwich surprisingly fast, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was lively--lots of TVs, a good beer selection, and a mix of people enjoying their lunch. I asked the guy behind the counter for a recommendation on their best sandwich and he suggested the Turkado sandwich. It was a turkey sandwich on sourdough with lettuce, onions, mayo, and tomato. Pretty basic. It also came with a sweet and sauce which, honestly, was not a great pairing with the sandwich. The sandwich itself was just okay--nothing special, and I feel like I could've made something similar at home. Overall, the experience was fine, but the sandwich was underwhelming. I'm kind of a Board & Brew connoisseur at this point and the Del Mar location will always have my heart. The 3 stars are for the food only because it's always solid. I usually rotate between the Turkado, Turkey Deluxe, Cali, or Veggie, and honestly, props to B&B for keeping the taste, quality, and presentation consistent no matter where you go in SoCal. That said, this Anaheim Hills location just isn't it. The staff seemed checked out ;kind of high, not friendly, and not really interested in helping customers. I've been to probably 10 other B&B spots, and this was totally off-brand for them. Super disappointing.If I could give some constructive feedback, I'd say have the Del Mar crew come up and train the Anaheim Hills team...they could use a reminder of what makes Board & Brew awesome in the first place read more

This particular location has gotten less consistent over the years I've lived in AH which is going on 5. So when I share that I'm bummed to write my review, I am, I don't want the end product to be bad, and I'm not going to ever complain to a manager, that's not my style, I'm usually the one that will eat the order when the wrong thing came out, also to mention almost all of my orders are to go. I totally get being human, and mistakes, but if the output is just not good or the wrap is brittle especially when you pay more for the upgrade, and stuff is missing it's pretty annoying.
