We came here after an LAX pick-up with some friends who were really hungry! There aren't that many restaurants in Anaheim that are open between 11pm - midnight, so the fact that this establishment was even open was so appreciated. The parking was simple, you take a ticket and park in the hotel then walk to the restaurant where a host will seat you. We sat outside at the table with a fire pit which was much needed on a chilly night. The menu leans on the expensive side but you have to consider (1) its across from Disneyland and (2) the food is actually good and (3) since they're open late, you have to fund that convenience. Everyone enjoyed their food, I got the elote which was really yummy! I liked how charred the corn was. We finally stopped in to try this spot my family and I always pass on our trips to Disney. The interior is vibrant and well lit, definitely a great place for photos. The food and drinks were both enjoyable, and the service really stood out. My favorites were the quesadilla and birria tacos. The chips and salsa did not disappoint either. Calaca Mama's is a Mexican restaurant located at the entrance of The Disneyland Resort on Harbor. The pros include convenience for those staying at nearby hotels. The cons, for locals like myself, would be the tight parking in the Best Western lot, hiked up prices due to its proximity to Disney property, and small menu with no specials (like taco Tuesday). All taco plates, burritos, or bowls are $24. The restaurant was very bright, dimming the lights and adding accent lighting would make a huge difference in the overall ambiance and warmth. Staff were friendly, but new and forgot some of the order, once reminded they grabbed it quickly. Then price of the food for what you're getting is lacking, as a local I don't see myself returning to this location - but for those on vacation staying nearby the food is decent, we appreciated the complementary chips and salsa. read more

Went to disneyland on a rainy day. On the way back to the hotel, this restaurant was on the corner. Decided to try it out since the location is so convenient! It's literally across from Disney after the crosswalk. My family and I were seated right away. We were in wet ponchos but the staff didn't fuss about it. Our server Bryan was really attentive and explained some of the dishes to us. I got a margarita mocktail and birria ramen. Food came out quickly. I was freezing so I wanted soup. Came here with my sister, her husband, and my niece after being at Disneyland which is a small walk across. I ordered the quesabirria tacos, my brother in law got carne asada tacos, and my sister got the birria ramen. We also ordered a queso fondue for the table which was pretty bomb. Overall, the food here was pretty good. All of us left satisfied and full. The staff here is nice too. We visited here in October 2025 with friends. It was located right across from Disneyland and it was an easy walk and it's very accessible. The bathrooms here were extremely nice, a weird thing to point out, but worth mentioning, it's obvious that they care a lot about the customer experience. Okay, onto the food! I went to Calacas Mamas today, the one in Anaheim. It was such a good experience!!! Service was 10/10, food was just right (another one 10/10), those enchiladas verdes were fire(10/10 definitely recommend), and the chile relleno was so dang good (&&& 10/10)!. Came to calaca mamas after Disneyland for dinner. Great service Food was good I got quesabirrias. The only thing I didn't like was I asked for chips and salsa. Because they had taken the salsa away and they charge them. I asked about it and they said first one is on them and second one they charge. I believe they should and mention second they charge. I asked if they can remove chip and salsa they said they will have to charge for salsa. Total was 7 dollar for both they remove. Chips so was 6 dollars. They're open until 1 a.m. every day and even serve breakfast and brunch. Hit this restaurant right after getting off an early morning flight. The food was delicious, our server Alex was FANTASTIC, and the atmosphere was really lovely. We enjoyed everything we had and the speciality drinks were true craft cocktails. Spent a couple of days at Disneyland, and as we were walking back to our hotel, we saw Calaca Mamas Cantina and decided to stop in for a nightcap. We sat at the bar and went through the menu. Our bartender was very attentive and helpful. All 3 of us made selections based on his recommendations, and he was spot on for all of us. We loved our drinks, and the chips and salsa that showed up. I loved it so much that when I came back to Disneyland the following week, we came here for dinner with the family. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and their tequila selection was fantastic. We had the Queso Fundido to start with, this was SO GOOD, I wish I had just ordered it as my main. I definitely will go back just for this if nothing else. My Queso Birria tacos were delicious. My grandkids had steak tacos and the carne asada was SO FREAKING good in those tacos. We tried both kinds of beans and they had so much flavor, they really layer the flavor in their food. DO NOT pass up on the Churros. They are homemade, to order, and what churros should always taste like. They are brought on a small cart that sits on your table with two sauces to dip in. SO GOOD This place is super bright and upbeat, the decor is fun. Calaca in Spanish is skeleton, so think of Dia de los Muertos, or Encanto on steroids. This was my 3rd time at Calacas, usually I do have my regular Mexican restaurants that I like to visit, but after visiting Disney, we googled for some Mexican restaurants nearby and Calacas popped up, we tried it for the first time and we liked it, we came back for a second round and we got the same table by the bar and the same server, it was just good but Saturday night changed it all we showed up with a party of 25 people and the service was excellent, the entire patio for ourselves! The house made guacamole and elote (not pictured thanks to a corn loving toddler) were perfect. Our drinks were a nice little kickoff to our vacation and refresher after a day of driving. My experience was great! I had dinner there on Sunday night, and we were greeted immediately. We got seated us right away,by someone who actually ended up being our server as well. I don't usually leave reviews, but I think this restaurant is definitely worth it. Isaac, our server, explained that the restaurant focuses on organic, authentic food, and he took the time to walk us through the menu, which we really appreciated. The food was great -- the carne asada was cooked perfectly, and I also tried the aguachile. It wasn't really my favorite, but it still tasted good. We were hungry, tired from the convention we attended, and decided to uber to the restaurant, I remember coming here a few years ago, it wasn't bad, but I thought it was a different name. Reviews weren't bad on yelp so we decided why not. Only reason why I gave a two star instead of a one, is because the hostess was cordial, and the server was super sweet. It's the food that was not good. The corn was so sour we could barely eat it. My Birrieria tacos were not crispy like the server said it would be, it was soggy, and not good at all. I always order birrieria tacos and never had ones this bad. I could barely eat it so I took it back to the hotel thinking maybe I could snack on it. The next day I had stomach problems so I just threw it away. Too bad because we spent a lot of money on it, and round trip uber to hotel. I'm so disappointed because where we live we don't have a lot of good Mexican restaurants, but even our not so good Mexican eateries are better than Calaca Manas Cantina. read more
