Came here with my family of 7 so I knew it was going to cost me an arm and a leg to feed them all and I was right. I get it that we are a captive audience but why does it have to be so expensive! Came here on a weekday, more specifically Thursday. I was really looking forward to eat here with my family. Let me just say, the customer service was HORRIBLE. The workers seemed absolutely miserable and gave attitude to me when i was giving out my order. Came here on Memorial Day weekend. Luckily we came early before it got super busy. Ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage and sausage and egg sandwich. It was average, nothing spectacular. Price was descent for the boardwalk, about $12 for both. Masks are still required which I don't mind. Hand sanitizer is readily available and social distancing is enforced but obviously not followed by everyone. Staff wear gloves and masks, friendly also. read more

My toddler fell and hit her chin after tripping on a doubled over mat while the manager was taking my order. I can't believe I had to point out to the manager that the folded up mat was a safety hazard and suggested unfolding it. Instead he begrudgingly moved it over several feet, still folded over! Came here for lunch after visiting Santa Cruz beach. This restaurant is the only place that is not within the amusement park. It's sort of set off to the side with the gift shop. We got the buccaneer combo with garlic fries and the Greek salad. The burger wasn't like red robin or anything, but it wasn't fast food either. It was large, and juicy. The patty was small but the large onion rings made up for it. There's bacon and a slice of tomato. All around awesome burger. The salad was good and fresh. They give you plenty of balsamic vinegar. I only used about 1/2. The chicken was well grilled and seasoned. The fries were garlicky and crispy. A regular sized lemonade is pretty big. Overall it was a good lunch. read more

When we visited the Boardwalk, we parked close by Neptune's Kingdom. Once the baby's in the stroller, kid's hand at bay, and tons of their stuff on my back, I was hungry. Passing through Neptune's Kingdom, we see Barbary Coast. I ordered their corn dog (I haven't passed by Surf City Grill yet), and their Garlic Fries. Mom-in-law ordered their Turkey Legs. Ok, the prices are stupid high even for the boardwalk! $18 for my and my 3 year old to get two meals and split a drink. Mr. Eastern European dude who "helped" us was more than rude (sorry you hate your job dude, but come on). While we ate, we enjoyed what we were eating. But about an hour later... we didn't enjoy it all that much. Stomach was all angry for about an hour. Not just mine but my daughter and my friend too. This place gets super packed! You can hardly walk around. The food also takes a long time. The prices are quite expensive as well. It's better to order from a different food place on the boardwalk since they'll sell the same food at the same prices. You just won't have to deal with the crowd that you face here. Ate here after a round of minigolf! 1907 nights pepsi deal is pretty awesome ($1 for a medium). Corndog meal is kind of pricey. Smoked Turkey Leg is pretty darn good! Don't even bother trying to eat the skin, it is soooo tough but that is usual with smoked turkey. The meat itself was extremely tender, moist and flavorful. I like to eat it with hot sauce. The garlic on the garlic fries had issues staying on but was fine if you ate it with a fork. after working at the bwalk, every employee knows and loves barbary coast. although a wee bit expensive(it is the boardwalk, after all), the food is fresh and they open before every other store on the walk. 9am!! i love coming here for my daily coffee before my shift starts. if you come here before 11am, get their breakfast burrito or breakfast sandwich! they look small, but they are so filling! and they have tapatio to put on your food! win win win! oh and the fries= crispy, yummy! same with the chicken strips! they're located right near the mini golf/ neptune's kingdom! read more

By far one of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had. We got half of our food in 20 minutes the other half 15 minutes later. All of it was cold and absolutely horrible. I was on a hunt to for a smoothie or frapee of some sort while we were chillen at the beach. I was taking a look thru some shops and I found Barbary Coast right by the arcade, they had frappes and smoothies and in the pictures they looked so good, but then again of course all ads the pictures look good. After a couple minutes of just staring straight at the picture, I settled on an Oreo Frappe. The cashier rang me up and charged 5.25 on my card. I guess I'm expecting somewhat high prices esp with their location. After gathering my drink and as I was heading back I started to take small sips..and it was just Bleh! I felt like it had no flavor what so ever.. I barely can taste any oreos.. the only oreos I seen where at the top of my cup, little crumbles to make my drink look pretty. I was def. disappointed..turns out my sister got the same exact drink (we didnt know we got the same drink or even went to the same place) she was disappointed as well.
