Very nostalgic drive- in burger joint. Basic burgers, fries and shakes. Great location next to SeaCliff Beach off hwy 1 Staff were very nice. Dining inside or patio were kept pretty clean. Even the single bathroom was not too bad!

The staff was friendly and professional! The burgers and fries were amazing. To put the cherry on top, we also got a cone that was made with love!

Cute, but dated burger joint close to the beach, but unfortunately the food was pretty mid. Great prices, good service, and a decent option for something quick.

I grew up eating here every time we'd come to the beach and I bring my kids now. Their burgers are so yummy. Shakes are thick and flavorful and I loveeee their fries

$30 for two burgers (one patty) and fries, the food isn't awful it's really just basic but the prices seem high for what it is

Smallest 10.99 cheeseburger ever and lacking tomatoes onions I did find pickles on the bottom sup wilted and turned lettuce

Well shoot it's disappointing to review this place... where do I start... I remember eating at here when I was a kid and we would be so stoked then when I was a teen we would drive down and get a number 1 cheese burger we're never a disappointment same with the shakes I took my family the other day and yes I was super shocked on the prices but hey you get what you pay for right? WRONG the cheese burger was so small and super then meat patty the lettuce was turning the bun was ugh I'm posting a picture it sucks I hope they can change they would get more customers if the owners were willing to spend some money and spruce up the place and start taking some pride in their business. I can complain about the fries they were on point !! The teens working were super friendly!! A few small tweaks and the place could be amazing again !!! Come on owners let's bring it back you need a vacation and some relaxing vibes so a few small changes is a small price for a business that could be thriving and less people going to other fast food restaurants around here. Burger week fail

The sign.

2 Average burgers and frozen fries for 50 dollars really not worth it it's a beach tourist attraction but there's better options around

Cool little burger place that's been around since the 1950's. Got the cheeseburger with fries. Did not disappoint!

Hideout is a poppin!…read more Every time I come here the food is fantastic. Sometimes there's a wait and although worth it , it can take some time. But we have yet had a bad experience here dining. My last visit my friend and I decided to share appetizers so we could try a variety of items and try a few things on the menu. Everything was so tasty! The onion rings were crispy and came with bbq sauce, one of my fav items we got! TIP: It is a good option to order for a large group, it is a large portion for $10. We also shared the burrata and tapenade, I like that it came with balsamic glaze for a savory and sweet effect. We got the Mac and cheese and added short rib. It was a really large portion too! It was as $15 for the Mac and + $9 for the short rib I believe which I didn't think was a bad price at all for what we given. We had a ton left over which will last us 2 days as a side dish for dinner later on. Buffalo wings came with 11 wings, they were garlicky and the buffalo sauce had great flavor. Overall this is always a great spot to drop by for dinner, drinks, and/or appetizers. It's easy going here, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious.

The sandwich was delicious, and the chipotle aioli was especially good--creamy, flavorful, and one of the better ones I've had. The sweet potato fries were crispy. My partner really enjoyed the prime rib, and the portion was large enough for leftovers. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. We sat outside with our pups, which we appreciated. The only suggestion would be to update the patio layout a bit. Our table was directly across from the waiting area, so it felt like we had very little privacy while people waited. Other than that, we had a great experience and would definitely come back.

The moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by one of the friendliest bartender's I've encountered in a while. The restaurant and bar were both incredibly clean and the atmosphere inside was absolutely spectacular. After we gave the bartender our to-go order, only a few minutes later a super friendly waitress who hadn't seen us place our to-go order approached and offered to serve us. I got the Caesar salad and my gf got the Reuben. Both of which were absolutely phenomenal! Highly recommend this convenient, clean, and tasty place.

There were TVs everywhere and they were showing hockey, baseball, and basketball. For the food, I really enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Salad. It was nicely seared on the outside while still being raw on the inside. The greens with sliced ginger and dressing bring it all together. Mozzarella Sticks come with 4 large pieces. If you eat them while they're hot, you can get a pretty awesome cheese pull. These were served with marinara sauce and the appetizer was tasty. My son ordered a Chicken Pesto pizza that I was able to issue a dad tax on. I thought the pizza was solid, not spectacular. A nice chill place to hang out and watch a game.

The counter service female was very nice and helpful. The sandwich was very good and we've eaten there many times in the past. When we both sat down to eat we noticed that our sandwich hadn't been cut in half. My girlfriend went back to the counter and asked a male kitchen employee behind the counter if he could cut our sandwich in half. The sandwich was completely wrapped in paper and we did not unwrap it at all prior to asking for it to be cut. His response was extremely rude and nasty. He claimed that it was already contaminated despite the fact that it was still completely wrapped in paper. He acted like we were putting him out by us asking him to simply cut the sandwich in half. He accused my girlfriend of "contaminating" the sandwich (in his words) just by touching it despite the fact that it was handled by 2 people before we even touched it. Basically, it was his scolding condescending tone that totally turned us off to ever visiting this place again. It only takes one lazy a--hole employee to ruin a great dining experience.

I had a pastrami sandwich there once before and it was pretty good, so figured this would do. Ordered the burger combo with Lentil soup. Asked for my burger medium and when it came out it was well past that and I'm pretty sure it was a frozen patty. I have frozen patties I cook at home that are great, so guessing it just wasn't very good quality to begin with. The lentil soup was flavorless and I only had a few bites before tossing out. Seasoning, a ham hock, and some aromatics would do a lot for this soup. Left feeling very disappointed as there are a bunch of more satisfying options in the area and I chose the wrong one. As I was sitting in traffic, my stomach started feeling like I ate some broken glass or something. Obviously there wasn't broken glass in the burger, just a fitting analogy. I had stomach pains for the next few hours. This is all I had eaten in like 10 hours, so I'm positive it was the burger. The woman at the counter was friendly and the place was pretty clean. I've got a pretty iron gut and it takes a lot to make it turn. Don't think I will be going back.
