The service was completely terrible. The cashier was talking with what seemed like a friend and was entirely too busy to be bothered with me, a paying customer. The lady who made my sandwich also seemed like she couldn't be bothered to do her job and fulfill my order. As someone who travels a LOT, I have become rather irritated by the lack of healthy food options at airports. I've also (unfortunately) come to expect crappy service. Boars Head in terminal A surprised me on both fronts. Healthy, made-to-order sandwiches with real veggies! Yay! And seriously the nicest food-service I've interacted with in a long time, in or outside of an airport. I will definitely find my way back here whenever I fly thorough Atlanta. Food was good but wasn't what I'd ordered. Twice. I brought back the first sandwich, i had ordered a Cuban with light mustard (typically ham, pork, cheese, pickles, and mustard; also what is listed on the menu for that) the first sandwich i opened was just ham and cheese and Loaded with a ton of mustard. No pickles and no pork. I brought it back and let them know it wasn't what I'd ordered, and they told me they were out of pickles... something that would be good to know when placing the order. They remake the sandwich without pickles and i get back to the gate 10 minutes later to open a sandwich that still didn't have pork on it. How do you screw up such a simple sandwich twice? read more

My Asian boyfriend, my son (I only mention this because there is plenty of non eye contact and ignorance of us, I feel to seeing a biracial couple), and my infant son are standing in line. After standing there for several minutes, being ignored by Charles and some other young lady, I just walked straight to the register where I was told I had to order with the person at the counter. OK that's fine. Go back and have to wait in line, because now there is a lone behind me. My boyfriend orders a sandwich and says he wants everything but pickles and jalapenos. He is then told by Charles I don't want to know about what don't want, tell me what you do want. OK... I order a BLT, Charles calls a blt and I am told that is not mine. OK... I get on my flight to discover there is no L or T. I'm highly disappointed as I am now on an almost 5 hour flight with a bacon sandwich that cost me $9. I've stopped at this deli on many occasions because the food is decent and they're usually fairly quick (usually mad dashing between flights). Well. NOT this past Sunday, Feb 15, 2015. WOW. As I got to the counter at the deli, I had 15 minutes to make my flight, pleanty of time. Put in my order and was asked to step to the far side, register #3 to pay (no problem). $17 later for a sandwich, chips and water (gotta love airport prices! LOL) I stood off to the side watching the clock tick. 10 minutes later I step back over to where all the staff was and asked if they'd forgotten my sandwich. One girl gave me the evil eye and say "Wha?" Another girl said "Whadya have?" I told her and she looked over at another girl who closed her eyes and said "Shit. I forgot." (very professional.) So they say "We'll make another now." I said "Unfortunately I don't have time for that, I'll take my money back for the sandwich." Another girl grabs two slices of bread and slaps some sauce on it saying "I'll make her something." So I say "Well, what are you making?" And she says "a Hot (habenero?) turkey sandwich", to which I reply "No thanks, I don't want that, I'll just take my money back since now I'm out of time." The short little unprofessional bitch (yup, I said it!) at the register glares at me and says (I kid you not) "I don't need your shit lady." and walks away. WTH!? A manager walks up to the register and does she apologize on the little ghetto girls attitude? Nope. Just says "What did you have?" So I said "Well, I got a whole lot of attitude from someone who made a mistake now didn't I?" Did she apologize? Nope! And can you find any contact information for the franchisee? Nope! Tired of the lack of respect, professionalism and politeness I keep experiencing with people in the "service" industry. No, I don't expect or demand to be waited on, but if I place an order and pay for it, I'd like to get what I pay for. I went without anything but a small bag of chips and a bottle of water for dinner that night. It. Was. Awesome. There are pleanty of other businesses in that airport that will get my business going forward. Companies need to teach their employees professionalism or get rid of them. Just having rude "bodies" in place rather than competent workers isn't the answer. read more

The breakfast burrito was not a good choice and overpriced. The girls making the burritos put absolutely no effort into making the burritos. They ripped up the food with their hands instead of a knife (at least they had gloves on). One girl asked if she was supposed to put it in the oven. ummm ya I don't want a cold burrito. After contacting the headquarters to Boar's Head and the concession management company of the Boars Head Cafe I want to say my concern was properly and professionally addressed. I want to thank Jim Plante and other employees of HBF for genuinely caring and making me feel like my business was appreciated. I received phone calls and emails from management extending sincere apologies for the experience I encountered. Today I met personally with Jim Plante, the GM for the concession management company. He greeted me with a warm smile and hospitable handshake. We had an enjoyable conversation. He confirmed the employee had been briefed & coached on customer service skills. And then he offered to make me my favorite sandwich. I politely declined. I do not accept complimentary or free food because of my complaints. However, he offered again and insisted with a smile. I accepted. A few minutes later he came back with my grilled cheese on a flatbread with spicy cheeses and banana peppers. OH MY!! Is all I could say when I took my first bite. Delicious! Thank you Jim for my all time favorite grilled cheese. This problem was solved with professionalism and concern. I will definitely return because MY BUSINESS IS VALUED!! read more

I had an Italian meats sandwich on rye and the bread tasted very fresh, like it had been baked just a couple of hours ago, and the meats were delicious. The staff were polite and friendly. I hope that customer service and quality assurance improves at your location. On Sunday, July 17th I stopped at this location in the Atlanta airport on a very short layover. I ordered the Chickaboom sandwich without onions or crispy friend onions on wheat bread. You see I'm allergic to onions of any kind and I told the man that took my order of this situation. The pilot in front of me ordered the same sandwich with the crispy fried onions on white bread. This is where everything went haywire. The people at the registers were calling people down to ring up their sandwiches before they were completed. I knew that the pilot in front of me ordered the same thing. They called for "Chickaboom", I said I ordered it without onions on wheat. They lady snottily said "THAT'S WHAT I SAID!" and thrust the sandwich at me. I asked "are you certain there are no onions on this sandwich" as I was told to move down to pay for my sandwich and couldn't assure that it had been made correctly. She said "YES, there are no onions on it!" At this point I had to rush off to my flight and take her at her word. I got onboard and opened my sandwich and it was COVERED in crispy fried onions! So of the $13.54 I spent at this cafe all I could consume was the $3.49 Fiji Water. I had to have the flight attendant throw the sandwich away, wasting $10.05!!! I assure you that IF I ever seen another Boar's Head Cafe I will be walking away. read more
