We definitely think this is a nice spot for drinks and light bites like a happy hour for sure! Came for Mother's Day weekend lunch on Saturday Staff: Literally so nice! Everyone was pleasant from the moment we walked in to the time we left. Even baby boy who told me that I needed to push the door hard for the bathroom. It gave such a family feel there. Atmosphere & Music: Absolutely beautiful! Love the colors, warmth and the chandeliers. Did wish we could pull the table in closer but it wasn't a big deal. We were cozy. Music was great too! I didn't know what time the DJ was coming so he setup right before we left. We would've stayed but my son was tired. I had to take a day before I wrote this review because I was torn between my expectations of this place and the reality of comparing it to similar Crepe spots I have experienced across the world. I'm ready. The ambiance and service were really good, we were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. We were got there at 1:30 in the afternoon and it did seem like some of the staff was just waking up . It was almost as if we were early to a dinner spot. We started by ordering the wings, but unfortunately they were still frozen so the waiter offered chicken finger's instead. It was good but I orders the sauce on the side which clearly was forgotten about when at some point as the chicken was definitely tossed in the sauce. The wife ordered the catfish meal and started off praising the presentation and flavor but that was short lived once she got to the middle and started to have a slimy no completely done taste. We sent it back and was a little thrown off to hear the cook felt it was cooked and we were tasting seasoning . She then proceeded to ask for a crepe instead and that was not a crepe. It definitely taste more like a tortilla pan fried, or frozen crepe I am not sure. The waiter was generous enough take the crepe off the hill, yet we still paid for the not so done fish. The diet soda was poured straight from the can which is a plus, but definitely taste stale. Let me start by saying I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! I visited this establishment last night, due to staying at a hotel a few steps away. As someone else noted in a review, the staff are very lackluster and in general, seem like they don't want to be there. There is no hospitality. No greetings. No small talk about the menu/specials. As a matter of fact, we weren't even offered menus, nor directed where to even find it. It was simply..."y'all know what yall wanna order?" O_o The lack of customer service is insane! We arrived at 8:50. Places our order shortly thereafter. We were given some pita chips, which I will say, were delicious! After sitting there for an entire order and having NOT received our food, we started looking around... A waitress then comes over to us and says, "I saw y'all looking around and I just wanted to let you know we have a party of 8 and that's what's taking so long with your food." -_-. Now the party she was referring to was not completely there when we arrived, but even still, what the hell does that have to do with the price of tea in China?? And you mean to tell me she only came because she saw us looking around confused? After an HOUR?! And during that time offered us NOTHING! As for the ambiance...it's a nice, cozy spot, but the music was soooo loud as if we were in a club! We could not even have a conversation because the music was soooo loud! We subsequently cancelled the order and just left, but we wasted an hour and a half of our time! Luckily, at 10 pm the food trucks across the street and we ended up being serviced by them...in 8 minutes and significantly less than what I would have spent at this place! Visited Mid July 2023 The restaurant. is very cute, the decorations and chandeliers are very beautiful. But some of the décor budget should've been set aside for place setting, forks and decent cups. There online menu does not match their in-person menu. My husband and I ordered drinks and ended up ordering food also because we were invited to a listening party here. Our bill was $256.00 Why and I was hungry when we left, I'm sure it was the alcohol drinks. What's crazy is Little Mendecess was our server, he did the best he could, he hasn't had proper training. However, you can tell he doesn't take this little gig seriously, his hair is wild!!! My hair is wild most of the time also, however I don't work in the food/ service industry. Having to ask for silverware several times and when it came it was plastic. Nothing against plastic wear but for the money we spent, I was looking for a real fork. I ordered fried shrimp, fries and a side of Brussel sprouts, egg rolls don't remember what my Husband ordered. But the Shrimp, were a little salty. Where do I start. We went in here Sunday around 330 and there so many things not on the menu till I was confused as to why are you open today. I thought they could've been doing grocery runs to restock. It was a lady's birthday that came with me so we stayed and I had some big wigs of the community with me that day. They were disappointed. So while Yandi was out getting her nails done she should have been at the grocery store stocking the menu. The restaurant was empty and it still took forever for the food to come out. The waitress was very nice but she disappeared 30-45 at a time I'm not sure what she could've been doing because they were not crowded. Customer service, food and drinks on more than 4 visits were good. I've always gone before peak hours and was able to relax and enjoy. To prevent this post from being any longer than it needs to be, let me cut straight to the chase. The restaurant is cute inside. The color scheme is nice and so was the layout. Unfortunately, the service wasn't so great. It wasn't even like they were busy when we went. There were two servers, a bartender, a dj and whoever was working in the back. In addition, a security guard who was doing double duty as the host greeted us outside the restaurant door and asked if we had a reservation. After confirmation from a server, we were allowed inside. Let me not get too far into the weeds, but the service was definitely lacking. There were 4 people in my party and we all felt the same way. In addition, their online menu and their in-house menu wasn't the same. So our initial idea of what we would order, immediately fizzled. Overall, I gave the visit 3-stars and that is because of the food I specifically ordered which was the crab and spinach crepe. I also ordered a side of brussel sprouts. Those two things were absolutely delicious! Guest #2 ordered the shrimp and fries, he disliked the shrimp and said it didn't have any taste. I discovered this gem last night while my daughter was at a concert. While I still think Atlanta needs so much help, this place gives me faith that we have a chance to make it so much better! The server was one of the owner's daughter and she was fabulous. She was very attentive and very welcoming. My server's mom and co-owner of this establishment, Cynthia, came by to introduce herself and invite me to come back. The food was really good. I had nothing special, wings and fries, but they were both yummy. The atmosphere was so welcoming. The restaurant is right at the entrance to Underground, and I can only hope that great places like this continue to fill this area. The real estate in that area is just wasting away. I plan to frequent Dancin Crepe for every concert I take my daughter to and any time I'm in the area. I can definitely see this place as a great place to hang out and relax for a spell! read more

Today is Sunday, not busy at all, I reserved for 6, we kept having to ask for napkins, my sister sent her chicken wings back twice and then they didn't bring the fries out that went with them and they had to be told, my sister in law didn't eat at all due to waiting to get food last, but to then be told you didn't have Philly egg rolls smh, your server and cook kept horse playing in the kitchen and at the side door next to the bar smh no wonder things kept getting left out. The service was awful! We celebrated my friend's 60th birthday and the service, food, and restaurant were all horrible. Reservations were at 5:00PM. Granted some people were late, but we did not receive our food until 7:30/8:00PM. We submitted orders for today on February 20th. Several guest were told that they didn't have items that they pre-ordered. The birthday lady pre-ordered a steak salad and at 7:00 PM she was told that they did not have steak. She was asked if she wanted to substitute with lambchop. I am all for patronizing black businesses, but I will never visit this establishment again. I will never recommend Dancing Crepes to anyone. I deleted all the pictures I had because my wife was so disappointed. We came up from Charleston, SC for the Hawk\Charlotte game but she was determine to go to Yandy's Dancing Crepes. We went, there were no host so after 15 minutes of standing at the door I went to the bars and asked the people talking behind the bar "do we sit anywhere" she replied "no we'll be there to seat you we're just short staffed" The guy finally came and sat us and told us this was his first night. Obviously he wasn't trained well. We sat there waiting for someone to take our order and I guess the people at another table noticed and asked "did anyone take your order" we said no. She went and found someone for us so I guess she was connected some how. Yandy Smith walks in and takes a bow and I'm sitting there like I would be doing whatever I can to make these angry faces smile but no she tells the DJ to crank the music up then start twerking and dancing with her entourage. If you want a club build a club. If you need a tax write off find a cause. If it's on your heart to give back do for the homeless. This restaurant will not be open this time next year so tank it now. We were unaware of the special event that was happening, so there really wasn't any room available but the owner, Yandy Smith made special arrangements to get 8 more people in. We appreciate that since we all haven't been together since the pandemic. The hospitality, atmosphere , the spoken words and music was great. The waitress was fun and friendly and I appreciate her recommending to me the a French Toast. I really love it. It was just the way I like it, Sweet, the bread soft and not to thick. I went to Dancin Crepe for the first time last week and had a great time! Tiara the bartender was very kind, professional and gracious. She did an excellent job! I ordered Fried Green Tomatoes, and they were excellent. I waited over 40 minutes for my 2 appetizers as noted in this review. However, the Cauliflower Bites (not bites, huge florets) were not too good. However, the batter for the bites needs to be examined and changed. Also, the bites could have been fried a little longer because the batter was still soggy?! Finally, the smoke from the Kitchen area made its away to the main area. When I left,. I smelled like fried food and had to immediately change my clothes before going elsewhere Lol! I think his name is Ron, he was great at keeping us at ease and reassuring us that our food was coming, I recognized the NY. In him immediately. He played host, waiter, security and customer service for a few unruly patrons who tried to change the vibe. He was doing 5 different jobs without busting a sweat. He was on his Ps and Qs totally on point like the business bared his name. I rate his service five+ stars he needs to be promoted. Everyone in my party felt the same. We appreciated his superb customer care. Because without it. We would have cancelled our orders and left. For that reason alone I will return again. Walked in with excitement the look was very nice and calm. Then to scan and see the menu with more than half unavailable. Once we received our beverage we were ready to order with not much to choose from. Placed the order appetizer and entree, and literally waited 20 minutes before the waitress came and said they don't have the jerk chicken roll. Ok I swapped it for seafood roll. This is not to bash the establishment but to hope they improve, my expectations were high being that this was a reality star business, But was immediately let down when we walked in, 1st off we went on a Saturday around 1pm and were the only ones in there, second they didn't have a few thing on the menu that we wanted so we settled for jerk egg roll, chicken and waffle. which turned out to be decent, the bartender seem to be a family member who was winging it, we ordered a peach martini and he was over there trying his best to make them lol, but however the facility was ran down, the lights in the ceiling were missing parts and the drywall was still showing, the furniture was dirty, the live plant was dead and hadn't been watered in years, the bartender was making drinks, cooking food. taking orders all with the same black gloves on, a group of people came in and walked back out. a homeless man walked in and walked around then left, the floors were scratched up so bad, the glass door were filthy, the counter were it looks like they make orange juice was dirty, definitely need better management and a decent cleaning service, if you're going to attached your name and face to it please make sure it's done right, Either get it together or shut down! Unfortunately I didn't have the same experience. I ordered the wings & fries. The first batch of wings that came out were so big I was afraid to eat them. I told the waitress I didn't want them so she offered to make me another batch and she said they do have smaller wings. The second batch of wings that came out were extra small. It was as if they weren't fed b/c the first set of wings ate all the food. The second batch of wings were smaller than any wing I've ever seen. They looked like they were for toddlers to be honest. I felt like I was eating a baby chicken. Also, I asked for naked wings and when the wings came out they were extra greasy and looked like bbq wings.
