We…read morehave checked out another foster city park before: Parkside Aquatic on Seal Street and even though it was cute, we really couldn't go into the water because of all the algae. This park was unfortunately no different. I can see this as being more of a neighborhood convenience, especially with its cute sand pit, digging equipment and climbing play structure. It no doubt has beautiful quiet views on a sunny day. Complete with green lawns and picnic tables, this is great for families with small children. Even has a standard park and rec kinda bathroom nearby. We used this place as more of a beach and unfortunately, found the sand to be too rough with weird bugs crawling all around, not to mention the minefield of geese poop scattered all around. Sadly won't be back.

HarborView Park is part of the San Mateo Shoreline and is the gateway to some lovely trails for getting some exercise weather you are biking, running or walking. It's even dog friendly, however all dogs must be on a leash. Also part of the Shoreline park system, Harborview has a ball-field, play areas, 1/2 basketball court, and restrooms in addition to Picnic tables that can be reserved as well as drop-in picnic areas. No alcohol allowed. No Fireworks and All dogs must be on leash. Its got it all - views and grass and trails. Fishing and fish wash station too. Friendly crowds and a small parking lot. Near the Kinkades Restaurant and a couple hotels - fancy ones. Its scenic and a good place to spend some time if your a local. I couldnt' imagine any person come from afar to visit here. Its not that it isn't grand enough - but these beautiful views are fairly common here around the bay. The greater San Francisco area is really beautiful. Other cities don't have all this beauty. Think New York or San Jose. The later cities I just think of concrete and heat. Hot and humid. Piggy wouldn't like that. Gigi's cafe might be a good stop before coming here. Check for other points of interest if your making a long drive to get here.

Took a stroll along the boardwalk as well, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and calming views. There's a small fishing pier with seating and a fish cleaning station too. The restroom stalls have no doors, not even in the women's restroom. I also encountered plenty of unleashed dogs at the park, luckily monitored by their owners. The small parking lot is adjacent to the Embassy Suites hotel, and after reading the park plaque on site, it was interesting to learn that Robert E. Woolley created the first all-suite hotel in 1969 (and the current embassy suites franchise).

The Shoreline Park towards the Foster City side, has a bridge to observe wildlife refuge. This is where I spend most of my time especially, during the summer months to watch and observe wildlife. But more importantly, I sit there to zen, reflect, remain still and quiet; all awhile rejuvenating my sense of balance. I recommend coming here if you need to decompress and try to experience a moment of stillness. You might just discover another world of yourself that you didn't know existed. Cheers!

Plus it sounds better than Nine Table Toilet Park. But, I guess if you like to sit at a table in the sun and listen to cars and go potty, this is the park for you. Ironically, Baywinds Park has the stellar, sweeping (and quiet) view of the bridge. But no tables or bathroom.

super cute park in foster city! i honestly didn't even know about this (nor did i see it on the…read moremap) until 2 weeks ago when my friend suggested we meet her for a group run. this was an excellent suggestion for a saturday morning for the following reasons: 1. free, easy parking right in the park (can easily find street parking on teal st & beach park blvd if needed) 2. separate men's & women's restrooms (unsure when they open but they were open as of 0700 on a saturday morning) 3. grassy area for picnic, lawn games, or just chilling 4. easy access to the bay trail, the trailhead is just behind the restrooms 5. NOT crowded, at all, despite being a beautiful summer day the view of the bay is absolutely gorgeous and you can also see the san mateo-hayward bridge since this park is practically underneath the bridge. easily accessible from freeways 101 & 92.

According to the fact sheet, this area is 11.2 acres. There's just large amounts of lawn where you can have an isolated picnic, and it's a fairly long stroll for a neighborhood park. It's cool that it runs next to a mini creek, closer to the residential houses. For sports, there are areas for sand volleyball, basketball, tennis (four courts), soccer, and baseball (which looked well maintained, with bleachers). There's a large playground with tanbark and picnic tables. There is an additional covered pavilion (technically you need to contact a city official to reserve this) with picnic tables and small coal barbecue pits, though they looked pretty rusty and dirty. Next to these tables is this amphitheater-like section. Parking is somewhat in a small lot, but there's street parking all over the perimeter that's readily available. The bathroom size is above average, for a neighborhood park. The main park in Foster City is superior, but this park is not bad if you want more seclusion, in some sense. It's right next to a highly trafficked road, but expansive enough to accommodate many parties without bumping into each other.
