The food has always been good here and so has the service. As a new parent, this place isn't the most kid friendly. The high chairs don't have straps at all. Excellent space to stop for food and drinks while boating. Covered slips allow for easy docking in the shade. The food menu has a variety to meet most pallets. The drink menu offers great summer drink specials. The service was quick and friendly. The swim-up bar was closed when we were there but it was refreshing to grab a drink and hang in the pool. If you go, be prepared for an expensive visit; you pay for the convenience and ambiance. read more

Great spot for lunch outside. Staff is friendly and the pool area is nice! Definitely not cheap, but you pay for the experience and the view. Plenty of parking slips for boats and staff on the dock to help with parking. They also have gas. Loved the bbq pork tacos, the nachos, and their fries! This is probably the worst meal we have had on the lake. Food was cold when it came out, Ruben didn't have much more than one slice of meat, and kids mac and cheese was gritty. Lots of better options on the lake to go out of your way for poor food. read more

We were party of a boat group and we wanted to order food and drinks and the manager told us we couldn't order food if we were part of the boat group. They said the food wouldn't be ready for at least an hour. They had 5 tickets in the kitchen window and the tables were empty. We hadn't ate since 10:00 a.m. and this was mid afternoon. They didn't care. If you don't want to feed boat groups then don't be a part of their stop. You could have made in less than 30 minutes with a limited "quick menu foods" at least $3000 plus in gross revenue. Guess you don't need or want tourist money. read more

The pool area is nice and our kids love to swim here. The bar areas are very nice and serve great drinks. We love covered docks too. It just continues to disappoint with the food quality. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants on the water 3/4 years ago and could get amazing food, but they now have a limited menu that lacks quality unless you are just getting kids food. read more

Hidden gem on the lake! If you like the water bar/restaurants but don't want to deal with the giant crowds, this is a pretty sweet spot! They have a pool with swim-up bar which is great. Food is pretty good and seems to be getting better.. to me, they have the best drinks on the water. Go get a Pain In The Ass, they make them nice and strong.. you'll thank me later! read more

Hate to judge a place on one experience over a busy holiday weekend...but also need to be fair. First off, boat parking is a disaster. Dock gals were not helpful and rude. After waiting for a spot they told me to let a bigger boat in. I left and went back to my condo and drove over. Parking is difficult here as it is in a cliff. Not for someone who is handicap or out of shape. But once we got in the views were nice. Lots of bar and restaurant sitting. The outdoor pool with swim up bar was real full so we didn't even try and get in. They also had live music and seating outside that gave folks another nice option to enjoy their day. Food was decent quality but spendy and portions were small. I am pretty used to paying higher prices on the water but most places make it up in portions. These guys did not. Our waitress/bartender was overwhelmed on the holiday weekend so I don't want to assume she was bad - but then they should have more staff as everything out this meal was slow. Nice venue, but I think I see the racket here: the food takes two plus hours to come out, which is a great way to get people to buy more rounds of expensive drinks. I had a salad with a vinaigrette that was so oniony, I regretted my choice the entire rest of the day - as did all the friends who had to tolerate my breath. What a beautiful day to enjoy the outside. Have an Arnold Palmer and a Soft shell crab BLT, life is not just good, it's delicious. My sandwich had fresh lettuce and beautiful red tomatoes. The bacon was cooked to a nice crisp and the brioche bun was warm with a nice buttery flavor. The crab was cooked to a beautiful brown crisp. It's very rare that I give a 5 star but his place deserved it for the customer service. They not only verified my food allergy before placing the order the Sou Chef came out to get more specifics, let me know my options for alternatives and delivered the meal himself. Our party of 9 went early on a Sunday night to make sure we had a table. They seated us right away. I read the reviews in advance so knew we might have to wait a bit for our food. The service was great as our server checked on us multiple times. The kids went to the pool after we ordered while the adults relaxed and had a drink. The kids' food came out quick which was much appreciated. Everything was good and no complaints on the food. Only gripe was that the menu was rather limited but that might be due to COVID. Pasta could have used some more seasoning but overall a good experience. read more

Lake view and ambiance beautiful tonight. The evening was great from being greeted, seated and service until we went asked for checks. Paul dropped the table tab and we asked for separate checks. Once he came back with separate checks he dropped the F bomb on multiple occasions. We were so taken back. We are a group of 6 service industry workers who are understanding and patient. Unfortunately, Paul's attitude ruined the rest of our girls dinner. A manager was very kind and understanding when we brought the situation to his attention. If we would have not been with people at our table that had already received their food we would have left. A pizza came out within 30 minutes, but a majority of our food took over an hour. Atmosphere and furnishings were nice. Salt water pool a plus. My husband and I both ordered blackened fish tacos with asian cole slaw. They arrived with brown iceberg lettuce and had absolutely NO taste. I am not one to complain, but the tacos were un-edible. I told Barb our waitress that they were simply not good. She told me the lettuce was brown because of the sauce they put on it. I asked where the asian cole slaw was and she told be their slaw in always made with lettuce not cabbage. When tabbing out, we again told her that we did not care for the tacos nor did we eat them. She did not offer to comp us or discount any of our meal, stating that the tacos are one of their best sellers. So we basically had 3 drinks and it cost us $49. My husband talked to the cook on the way out and the kid just looked at him with an I could care less look. The whole situation left a bad taste in our mouth (literally!). read more

Overpriced!! Good boat parking & the remodel is nice. Cleats on the dock would be appreciated. We were there early on a Monday & they weren't busy so the service was good. The hamburger & fish tacos were very good. I would not recommend the red fish sandwich. It was all bread & very little fish. About all you could taste was bread. The fries were very good. Went back a second time & the burgers were dry & mediocre at best. Fries were ok but the serving was small. The music was so loud that it was almost impossible to carry on a conversation. Service was good although it took awhile to get the food. That was understandable because they were busy. Drinks were fine. Overall I was disappointed so I dropped my original rating from three to two stars. read more

There is lake time....and then there's Boathouse time. That is NOT a compliment. I've been coming here every summer for the past 5 years and have witnessed what happens when you fail to expand your kitchen to match your seating capacity. 5/5/2018 I arrived by boat around 1:15pm and had 15 people in my crew. We realized there would be a wait so we split into groups of 4-5, one table in the bar, one by the pool and one group on the north end. Food in the bar took 45 min, food by the pool took 90 min and our crew at the north end (by parking lot) just got up and left at the 2 hour mark. I will admit were were "off season" but this was a Harbor Hop weekend and the excuses for why food was late had little merit. There were plenty of servers and bartenders, I just think the kitchen is severely undersized and/or under staffed. All things considered I chalked this up to poor timing and encouraged others not to judge based on this experience. 7/7/18 - I really wanted this to work out. Honestly it was worse the second time. Again, we arrived by boat w/ a large crew of 8 adults and 6 kids. Again, I figured we would split up kids at one table and adults at another (not even caring if we had to split up in different sections). I also figured when the server took our order we would be as efficient as possible, ordering quick & simple menu items for both food & drinks (5 of 6 kids ordered buttered noodles & water). 10 min passed before our server makes eye contact and the obligatory "Be with you in a minute" smile. Another 10 min before she stops by to grab our order and I don't mind as it's within "lake time" expectations. Here is where things go south - drinks take another 20 minutes...arriving one by one over the course of 10 more minutes. I'm talking cups of water, a few beers and a few cocktails. Food took 1 hour and 20 minutes FROM THAT POINT. Remember, I had 5 kids order buttered noodles...when I went directly to the kitchen to ask if they could expedite just those simple dishes I sat and watched the food expediter for close to 20 min arrange tickets, and then rearrange them so our ticket was pushed father back in the line. They simply cannot efficiently serve the capacity of seats they have on a busy day. They know it and other reviewers know it. Food is great but service is sloooooooooowwww. read more

My complaints would be portion size for what the prices are (my $12 salad was not the size a $12 should be) and the service. Our drinks sat in the heat for 10 minutes before they were served to us. We'll be back because of the beyond convenient location and awesome bar, but don't set your expectations too high! read more

Enjoyed an afternoon at the pool. We had the black and blue shrimp - very good. The kids had macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders and nachos. All the food came quickly. We did visit during the week and it was busy but not overcrowded. I'm sure the weekend would be much busier. We sampled a few drinks and enjoyed the view, patio and pool. Family friendly- would recommend for a fun afternoon with food and drinks poolside. read more

Some of the best food at the lake, honestly. Not really by any other fun bars or restaurants and off the beaten path (if travelling via car) and easily can be missed. The bar has just been remodeled, they have a waterfall and color-changing bar tops. They have a small pool that I heard they are expanding. But usually there are kids in there so don't expect to relax on your floatie. Food and drinks are on the pricier side, but that works because the clientele is usually upclass individuals anyways and Boathouse has some of the best food in town because of their chef, Corey. Head chef Corey is a delight and can literally cook you up some of the best food with ANY ingredients on hand... this is not an understatement. That being said, he makes this bar what it is. The brunch, the lunch, and dinner all fantastic. Service is slow if there the bar is even the least bit busy. They are understaffed, but they are usually pretty sweet and well-mannered. However, I saw one of the young girls get in a physical fight with another bartender once and cops were called so I guess it gets pretty catty.. as im sure any high stress job would entitle but that was a bit extreme. Management has a lot to be desired, you can usually find the owner/manager guy sitting in a chair next to the bar not helping his staff out or giving them any direction. Last point, I have tried pina coladas at literally almost every bar at the lake. Boathouse, hands-down wins that. It tastes like delicious cake. Most of their drinks are pretty good. (Backwater Jack's is easily a close second though) read more

Great pizza! Had the Jordanmeister. Overly salty but still awesome. The only issue we had was we started at the bar and decided to switch to a table. We asked the bartender and she asked another employee and it was no problem. We paid up at the bar and moved to the table. Apparently Shiela didn't like this scenario and bitched at our bartender in front of us! Not good form. We were kind of in no man's land at the table. Pizza came and no plates, utensils, napkins so we had to serve ourselves. This would have been a 5 star rating except for the uneasy feeling listening to a waitress complain about something that should have not involved us. read more

Long wait times on food, only for it to be lukewarm when it gets to the table and again management that doesn't care and won't do anything to right their mistakes.
