At the top, there was a shady spot that made it easy to get all the day's rubbish and coolers out of the boat so it was ready to transport back to the parking. It would have been nice if they had a dumpster or a trash can up there but they don't. We brought the trash with us instead. Fuel's not cheap, so fill up before you get here. Our particular purchase had quite a few moving parts between a potential trade-in, living out of state and then the complications from crossing state lines for boat and trailer registrations etc. Dan in sales along with their office staff dealt with all questions issues promptly. No overselling at all, just guidance as to what we want and need vs what is available. George the owner along with his son are hands-on and helped us with everything from paperwork to pulling the boat out on the trailer, very unassuming owner that I had at first assumed was an employee that was just being extremely helpful. After someone at a public dock stepped into the boat one eve with grease on their boots, the marina staff at Boats By George noticed it and cleaned the seat for me before I arrived to pull the boat out of the water. Nice touch I must say. Anyway, the new boat and trailer was a big purchase for us and this professional organization from family owners all the way down to the dock boys, not to mention the other team members that introduced themselves to us. He has always been super responsive to our group, and his knowledge of the area is extensive. We docked at his marina and stayed overnight at Big G's Pub airbnb just up the block. Lynn was super-accommodating. Ten of us descended on his Pub for a late dinner, and despite being short on help at that late hour, Lynn did not disappoint. Wings, burgers, steaks, fries, were all fresh, hot and delicious. Jim at the bar keep our drinks cold and full. We enjoyed the classic rock music and playing pool, but most of all we enjoyed chatting with Lynn and hearing of his exploits and adventures. Two of our ski's broke down on our way to Whitehall, so we left them at a marina on our way up. Lynn called us the next day to see if we were able to pick them up or if we needed help. If you are in the area, stop by for a beer, a bite and a chat with Lynn, absolutely one of the nicest guys we have ever met. Marina was busy since we visited in the busy summer months. The staff were truly knowledgeable and friendly staff. The boats from what I can tell in excellent working conditions and prices are reasonable for a popular resort town. Since we were staying at the Sagamore Resort, if anyone of our group was motion sick, we could easily drop them off. We had a full day of fun which included tubing, swimming, and lakeside restaurant dining. A message to others that rent a boat from Chric's Marina. Be sure that your area is attentive to all the contractual commitments before signing. We were uncertain about the weather before, the day of our rental since it was raining slightly. But fortunately, it was the best day of the week. Canceling for rainy weather may not be an option.

Our trailer may have been slightly hanging over a driveway by a few inches, but we were dealing with a 26-foot vehicle plus trailer in a tight area and did our best to park as instructed. Instead of handling it professionally, a gentleman in a red pickup truck approached us aggressively, cursed at me, repeatedly told us we were "done," and said our trip would be over before it started. This all happened in front of another employee. I moved the vehicle as directed and did not escalate, but the interaction left a very uneasy feeling. It was the complete opposite of customer service, and based on that experience, I would never do business with Chic's Marina again.
