25 years of patronizing this marina. Today, I'm evicted from this establishment because a young staffer lied and said I cursed at her! I DID NOT! I did however say "she didn't know what she was doing" SHE LIED AND TOLD THE OWNER I CURSED AT HER AND HAD HER YOUNG FRIEND BACK THAT LIE UP!! The fact is she is physically incapable of re-trailering a vessel. And not careful. The truth hurts but she had already twice caused damage to our brand new jet skis. Neither time did I complain in spite of it costing me $1400.00 in repairs. The morale of the staff here has gotten progressively worse too. Staffers barking at customers and even sniping each other behind their backs. All of this, after being very cooperative and making sure to tip the staffers who actually were a big help to us. Everything went great. First time launching my boat here and everyone was friendly, patient and helpful.

This company caused $1400 in damage to a brand new jet ski and we said nothing but then the same employee today doesn't hook up one jet ski and I go into the water up to my neck to retrieve it and why yes that would be the employee not doing their job. We were made to leave because a person in our party said the employee was incompetent because we have had many prior experiences with this employee and we are the bad guys? We tipped the employees pretty good when we got good service we have never given this employee a tip because of the incompetence. So my question to the Owner is do you have insurance because I have bills that I had to pay to get me jet ski fixed after launching at your facility! I am sure you have a record of us being there at that time! But once again we are the bad guys right? How about the time this employee let the line drag in the water and get sucked up into the impeller of jet ski and we had to hold everybody up to try and cut it out! But we are the bad people right, and it's all our fault right? read more

Norowal is RIP OFF MARINA. A travesty from when the Lambs owned it. 32 bucks for pump out, 3 bucks for trash drop off. No ethanol free gas. Doesn't even screw caps back on tanks, and leaves lines hanging off side of boat. Never ever stopping here again. Then some crazy lady flips out at me for telling him what Harris Bay and Castaway charges. read more

Norowal Marina - Marinas Near Me - Bolton Landing, New York

I was just at Norowal with two jet skis that were in distress. We had to have them towed to Norowal and they were tied together to make it for an easy tow. When we arrived there and tried to untie them so the trailer could pick them up we were told by the general manager named Matt to "Get the F&$@ out of here"..... other boats needed to come in and out. I have been on this lake for over 50 years and I have never been treated so badly and cursed at so violently, as today. This is the second year we've use Norowal for boat launch . This year we had 2 jetskis & 1 boat & 2 truck/trailer to store while on the water . We arrived late afternoon & only waited a short time before we were given overnight spots for the jet ski & boat. This marina definitely has a great system down for their customers - seems hectic but they know what there doing . The people in the office , the dock hands & the guys parking you were all helpful & professional ( wish we could say the same for the boat inspection lady - she was a grump - the boat insp people are NOT affiliated with Norowal ). We enjoyed 10 days using this marina & will definitely return next summer. read more

When you launch your boat here apparently your not allowed to do anything to prepare YOUR OWN boat. I asked the MANAGER (apparently it's owned by an association) when he went to undo my friends clip not to, and that he will want to do it himself. You had to hear the response he gave me he was so rude and disrespectful. He told me to take my boat to another boat launch and gave me the name. Then he proceeded to tell me he wasn't kidding. I am a young girl and was nothing but nice to him. He is an asshole. I will tell every person I know to never launch their boat at this marina or anything that has to do with his company. You pay a decent amount of money but if you have any troubles they get super mad that you are "holding up their boat launch" my experience was terrible here. Boat wouldn't go on straight and had to back in a couple times again but that's boating! My head gasket also went today as well, so I couldn't restart my boat. Anyways absolutely the rudest marina I've been too, if you are having trouble people should be understanding and helpful, not annoyed and pushy. Extremely disappointed they had a problem with my boat being correctly on the trailer as it's a safety hazard if it's not, went to a public boat launch to straighten the boat on the trailer. 50 dollars spent to be scolded wow read more

Just an effort to dispel the the previous reviews. Kindness begets kindness... I have been using norowal marina for years. What would I do without them! As new boat owners the dock hands saved and taught us too many times to mention. As for the ladies in the office Joan and Linda. This is professional and personal excellence! I don't what happened to this marina, ever since the really tan guy left it went downhill. Dock boys are sitting on their butts while we needed help Norowal costs 116 dollars to use your boat for the weekend witch included putting your boat in the water and taking it out one time along with parking for your boat and trailer for 2 nights. If you are camping on the islands this is the only place to use. parking isn't cheap but it's well worth it. brand new clean bathrooms and facilities open til 8pm, deep launch ramp, walking access from dock to town to get supplies. they also have gas/pump out/ water for boat, marine service facility right next door. I have been using norowal for years and wouldn't use anyone else. chips marina slightly south does not have any of these facilities except gas. Linda in the office is the nicest lady in the world. Lake George inspection/and camp ground registration are also on norowal property so it makes everything a breeze. just don't show up at 7:50 pm to launch/pull out. They run the ramps/parking like a military installation. read more

What a great joy we had launching our boat here, touring the lake for 5 days, and sadly having to pull her out. I never had an experience where I backed the trailer into the water and the deck hands did all the work. We came in on a Saturday, and the place was bustling with activity, but the operation was running smoothly. Everyone at Norowal was so helpful, friendly, and just plain fun to be around. We traveled for RI to be on Lake George, and ease of launching the boat was so appreciated. Thanks guys. read more

Terrible staff. They are all very rude, especially the older gentleman in the office by the name of John. Took standing there 10 min before I was even helped because he was so busy playing on the computer. There was another young man there behind the counter who seemed to have no purpose but to sit there and read. The parking lot is all gravel and I have had many of my friends cars and trailers be hit, the dock kid damaged my boat because he would not listen when cranking it up. I found a smaller marina closer to the long island group called Beckley's that is under new management and is much more laid back. Would never go to Norowal for anything ever again. read more

Most of the staff are extremely rude. I particularly didn't like the two kids that you were forced to use with launching your boat. They think they know it all, and one of them was a smart as* to me when I disagreed how far to back my trailer in. I will never return to this "marina" until they learn how to treat their customers. I finally told the little 12 year old know it all to take a hike and I can take my own boat out. When I said "It's fine, I do this every weekend", little know it all replied with "Well I do this every day". Things like that reflect poorly on this place. read more

Norowal Marina was the only option close enough to Glen Island to put a small boat in the water and go camping on the islands. We went there for memorial day weekend and found a rude staff, apparently here just to make money instead of offering a service. They did not give us much useful information besides "go here, park there, and hurry up there are many people today". Maybe mentioning that we had to retrieve the boat before 5pm on Monday whereas the usual time is 7:30 would have been useful? When we came to take the boat out of the water at 6:15pm, the boat ramp was closed with chains, the store and office closed and with no contact information at all... We had to pull the boat out of the water on the trailer by hand because only the trailer could go below the chain, then remove the outboard so everything would pass under their stupid chain. I felt like a criminal to do that and it was only to use a service that I paid (a lot of money) for and they failed to explain the very basic details of it... $24 to launch the boat plus a daily 22$ for parking was really expensive, especially if you compare this to the $28 for camping on the island... read more
