After working an 8 hour day, I order 2 salads for dinner not feeling like cooking. Steak salad and wildfire chicken. They were absolutely disgusting. My husband's chicken was hard and couldn't chew it, which he threw out, let alone there was hardly any lettuce. Same for my steak salad. Hardly any lettuce and looked old! These 2 salads cost 29.00!!! That was with a $3.90 tip. Never, never, never again. If I wasn't so tired from work, I would have taken them back. And wonder why your business sucks. Bob Evan's had an exceptional when me and my family went for breakfast. Firstly, the wait time was approximately 29 minutes also worth it. Secondly, the bathrooms had a fresh smell and it was clean. Thirdly, I ordered the "Plenty O' Pancakes" It came with a HUGE blob of whipped cream and plenty of syrup. Finally, There were lots of seats. Enough for maybe 100 families to have breakfast when all seats are taken. Kid eat free Tuesdays too. That's why I love Bob Evan's. read more

Went on a busy Wednesday morning around 9 AM, sat at a table to order carry out. I was sat quickly, I order a hot tea, and placed two to-go orders. Had my tea within one minute, and my 2 carry out orders with in the next 15 mins. The food was hot on my way out the door. Excellent and speedy service. Visited this Bob Evans when we first moved to Alliance. I didn't eat, just sat with my husband while he ate. I'll never forget it though... seemed like forever getting his meal and OMGosh the flooring was so disgusting, we both agreed we'd never visit there again... we go out of our way to frequent another BOB Evans as we both love them. I don't know if they've replaced their carpet but man did it make you feel dirty! read more

Alliance restaurant: what the heck, can't they do anything right ? Been there about 10 times, really only because it's in town. Last night was our last time, cold food, forgot items, waitress also cold like she didn't want to be there . There are maybe 2 waitress's there that are good, the manager last time couldn't figure out how to give me a refund after charging my account with a $60 tip!!! He had to call corporate to walk him thru it, he was rude and seemed like he just wanted to go have a smoke ! My husband and I went there last night for dinner. I ordered the Alaskan Cod which was okay. The biscuits looked like they were left over from the day before (hard and crumbly) and the French fries (which were very few and cold) looked like and tasted like they had been leftover from someone else's dinner and given to me. My husband ordered the pot roast. Apparently the onions had been thrown in at the last minute because they were crunchy and very strong. Neither meal was worth what we paid for it. read more

I've been going hear for years! I'm not sure what's up with the other reviews because I've never gotten anything but good food and great service! Ask for a waitress named Angie , shes been there for yrs and really does a great job. The manager is always nice and running around with a coffee pot and checking on service. Don't let the other reviews keep you away. This is good old time food and service. Maybe some of you need to work as a waitress for a day and see what it's like. Great food and friendly servers. I love the mashed potatoes they are the best. The peach sweet tea is also some of the best I've ever had.

If your in a hurry do not come to this Bob Evans. We were seated and I watched 4 other tables get seated after us and all of them were asked for their drink order and food order prior to us. I eventually had to catch attention of hostess to ask if the table we were at was assigned to a waitress due to multiple waitresses walking but us and never even stopped to say anything. The hostess offered to get our drinks as she looked into why no one came over. It was 20 min by the time the waitress came over and apologized saying that she thought we were the same people that was there previously. Now she was all around us. We had their big menus open infront of us, clean table with no dirty dishes or any drinks infront of us. But ok. So then she asked if we needed a few minutes to look over menus. Really- we had for 20 minutes already. I ordered the ham eggs Benedict and my sign other ordered the Homestead breakfast that came with eggs, choice of meat, hashbrowns, sausage crazy and biscuits. The waitress began to ask if he wanted any he wanted any toast or bisque at with his meal. He proceeded to tell her it came with biscuits. Then she asked if he wanted to add meat to his meal. And again he informed her it came with meat. During our wait for our food, we were delivered another tables sundae which we instructed was not ours. Waitress came back to ask if we wanted our toast or biscuits that came with our meal to munch on while we waited. Well mine is part of the whole Benedict's configurations so no. And my significant other comes with the sausage gray to put on the biscuits, so unless bringing that too then no. She brought the table beside us their sour dough bread to eat before their meal and when their meal came she asked if they wanted their sour dough bread. The lady asked isn't this sour dough and our bread and waitress responded that she didn't know if it was sour dough or not and thought it might be but the kitchen had an extra order so she thought she would ask. As for the meal itself, it was delicious and cooked appropriately. As for the experience alone, it was definitely an experience yet not one I would want to do over. read more

Me and my sister went to alliance bob Evans on Sunday night to eat dinner so I thought we would have a good time. Well it started out great then we got our food my French toast had burnt hash browns stuck to it.... and I hate hash browns. I asked for my bacon very very very crisp, and it came out on the same plate as my French toast and almost raw. My sisters meatloaf was chewy and rough along with the sauce being the texture of pudding and not sauce... When we were leaving, the hostess proceeded to pick fun at the way my sister was dressing and mock the way I was talking while the manager was standing directly next to her and he said nothing.. like it was no big deal!! Let's just say I am very disappointed and will never return to this bob Evans again!!!!! read more

Never had a bad meal at a Bob Evans. Until last night. I usually order the cranberry pecan chicken salad for lunch. It comes with bread or a bun and I usually get fried chicken and blue cheese dressing on the side with it. My wife and I were traveling through the area and we were going to order two salads. Instead we ordered the same salad that states it feeds six. The salad itself was served in a large foil container and it contained the toppings. There was less lettuce in the meal for six than there is in two individual salads. The fried chicken we received on the side was the same amount you would get on one salad. About three chicken strips cut up. We ordered the bacon bits on the side, which were good, and two salad dressings. We received one salad dressing and blue cheese pieces on the side. The instruction were well written and quite clear. The worst part is it would have been less expensive and we should have received more food if we ordered two individual salads. I was planning on ordering a Thanksgiving meal for the in laws but after the serving sizes we received I'll go to Boston Market instead. Absolutely disappointed. read more

This little franchise is easy to overlook. It does a brisk business on weekends and other times when there are quite a few out-of-towners because I believe out-of-towners tend to look for familiar places. This Bob Evans will not disappoint; it has all the trimmings even though it is somewhat smaller than many Bob Evans restaurants. When I visit it tends to be for breakfast so I can only speak to part of their menu. Their breakfasts are great! The coffee is wonderful. The service is always good and the manager is very prominent in the dining room, refilling customers coffee cups and inquiring about their experiences. It is a clean and well oiled machine. read more

Walked in to two hostesses/waitresses talking to each other and laughing while standing waiting for 2 to 3 minutes before being acknowledged. My family and other folks were standing outside because of the wait and from being crowded inside. We were all standing because the benches had bird droppings on them. It was dried from being there for a while, so no excuse that it all recently happened. Interesting that once the manager had it cleaned, off people starting sitting on the benches. Also, I agree with the other post that the service and food is spotty. I like the steak and egg breakfast but they brought a steak about half the size that I received last time. I love Bob Evans but will no longer be coming to this location. I will be making the extra 10 minute drive to the other location near us. read more

Service is always slow. Food is mediocre, even for Bob Evans. Food often comes out cold, and missing elements of the meal. Waitresses are unconcerned and forgetful. When we were there on one occasion a filthy, off duty employee came in and wandered in and out of the kitchen at will. Made me lose my appetite. It is not an overly clean restaurant, but not too dirty. Have tried a few times, but I won't be back. read more

First off, I love eating at Bob evans, but I suggest staying away from this location. This place has really gotten bad. 2 years ago it was one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Now I cringe at the thought of eating here. The service is really hit or miss, and more often bad than good. The interior is very dirty. There is usually dirt on the floors, tables aren't clean, the menus tend to be sticky, about half of the time my silverware is dirty, and too many times I have seen things floting in my beverages. My food is usually either wrong, or parts of it are forgotten; I have to wait for dressing for a salad, or toast to dip in my eggs. Even when I ordered carryout the last few times they have forgotten things. The first time I ordered a wildfire chicken salad and they didn't give me any chicken, tortilla stips, or silverware that I asked for. The next time I ordered I checked before I left, and they didn't even have my two sides in the bag! With the last mistake they gave me some gift certificates, so I went in to use them, dreading the trip. It was the same story. My water had something floating in it, and when I asked for a new cup, that one still had something in it. They forgot about my bacon with my pancakes and bacon entree, and tried to charge me for the bacon separately (difference of $1.40, but still!). The list went on and on. The manager came over to apologize and said, "This usually doesn't happen." They didn't know we had the certificates, but they didn't offer to take anything off of the bill. Also, I've been told by people who have gone in to work on the interior and people who have worked there that the place is very dirty all together. Hello: We wrote to you about 3 weeks ago telling of a bad experience with a carryout order at this location. You responded by sending us a $5.00 certificate, thank you for that. Being new to this area we decided to give Bob Evans another chance and use this certificate toward breakfast Sunday morning. The restaurant wasn't very busy and we thought that strange for a Sunday morning but it was to our advantage as we were seated very quickly. The server was very prompt in asking what we would like to drink, I ordered ice water, my wife ordered unsweetened tea. The drinks arrived and we were asked if we were ready to order. The country fried steak and eggs for me, and the Farm breakfast for my wife. What type of bread we were asked, biscuits, toast, wheat toast ? I asked for white toast, then I thought I would ask " could I get grilled sour dough bread?" If eyes were shotguns I just took both barrels from the server as she made a point of scratching out the white toast not one but many times in order to show her disapproval of my mind change. My wife tried her tea, it was sweetened, not unsweetened as she had asked. A mistake, no big deal as I would catch the servers attention and get it changed. The server walked past us several times and seemed to ignore my motions and eye contact. When the meals were delivered to our table my wife told her the tea was sweetened not unsweetened as she asked. The tea was rudely grabbed from in front of her and the server left. She returned several minutes with another glass of tea, set it in front of my wife and said to her " try it before I Ieave again to make sure it satisfies you", rather rude but maybe she was trying to be sure it was correct. My wife's eggs were not over easy as ordered, the yoke was hard, like a hardboiled egg. After a few minutes the server did return and asked if everything was 'ok'. My wife said her eggs were not over easy as the yoke was hard. This server did not say a word, not sorry, not let me get you another, nothing! Instead she spun around to walk away and as she did she said loudly enough for other customers and servers to hear and said "really!". We were very embarrassed to say the least as other customers were now staring at us. Another server who saw this happen came over to us and said we really need to let the manager know what happened, she apologized, she was clearly in shock of what she saw, she saw the manager and sent the manager to our table. My wife was livid, I was embarrassed by what that server did to us as we still had the attention and gaze of other customers. The manager told us that she would 'speak to the server' and the breakfast was 'taken care of'. I told the manager, I didn't get her name but a nice young woman, that we felt uncomfortable staying and were leaving. She offered us a box for our uneaten breakfasts but we declined, we just had to leave as the shame we were forced to endure. Apparently Bob Evans being a "down on the farm' restraunt does not welcome ethnic Americans, much like the Denny's chain of restraunts does not welcome African Americans. As we walked out the building I gave the $5.00 certificate to a nice young white couple, no doubt 'they' will be welcomed. And please, do not send us another $5 certicate as we will not be going into any Bob Evans restraunts in the future. As we walked out in shame I saw your logo' we treat strangers like friends and friends like family'. Please let me suggest this ' we treat friends like family and everyone else like shit'. read more

I am an old Employee as of last week due to how badly they operate and treat their staff and guests. There are a total of 4 managers and Chuck and Ron are excellent and extremely attentive. While Sam and Jennifer are terrible to their staff. This is a large reason as to why servers fall behind, are a little shook up and the waits are so long. Most servers are going to view you as a nuisance rather than a money opportunity. Many are not fond of kids, and we have a kid night. The cooks are decent, but the main issues lay in the servers. Many don't know what team work means, they scrape by on the bare minimum which is why the establishment is filthy from open to close. Remember if your table exceeds 4 people they are going to complain and most will do the bare minimum to make sure you are right at home. The most the managers do is comp 1 meal off and send you on your way only to complain about your unhappiness. If I were you for the same prices I'd just go to applebees across the street or make breakfast at home. Otherwise 9 times out of 10 you're going to have a terrible experience. read more
