Visited Penn Station with my wife for the first time in a long time. We were attending a nearby football game and we needed to do some shopping and eating beforehand. Wifey chose Penn Station. Walking in, we were greeted by the staff and we stared at the menu for a few minutes. I requested a hot Italian large sub and wifey requested a small turkey club. They began making our sammiches immediately. When we approached the register, a staffer distracted the cashier and others by asking them questions about a spill on the floor and then mopping it up. As such, the cashier did not ring us up immediately. But she handed us drink cups anyway and we got our drinks from the fountain. After that, they delivered our sandwiches to our table. Then more customers arrived, which distracted the staff even further. After we finished our meals, we were wondering if they were going to let us pay. After about 15 minutes, the cashier asked my wife to come over and my wife paid for our meals. My hot Italian sub was pretty good, but pretty much every Italian sub I've ever had was better. So I don't really recommend that sammich. Our fries were cold. I should have asked for fresh fries, but I assumed everything was made to order. Nope! My wife didn't comment on her sammich, which means it was just average. Well, I guess I've seen what I needed to see. Jersey Mike's, DiBella's, and Jimmy Johns do this sub thing better. read more

I'm surprised that I've never been here before. I think it maybe the best chain sandwich shop in the area. Everyone was super friendly, the service was quick and all the food was spectacular. I was a fan of their lemonade in particular because it is fresh squeezed every morning. I definitely tasted the difference. The fries are top tier too. Very crispy but tender on the inside. The fries weren't even soggy as I approached the end of eating them all- a rarity! I would recommend getting the Cajun seasoning on the fries. On Tuesdays, you get a free mini cookie with your order. I was a fan of the cookies I got, very soft and buttery and had the perfect balance of chocolate to cookie ratio. I didn't mention the sandwich because I'm not really a sandwich person. However, I tried my boyfriend's and everything tasted fresh and was good quality. I wasn't expecting such quality or service from a local chain that I usually didn't pay attention to. Penn Station left a lasting impression and I'm happy I finally discovered it after all these years. read more

I havent eaten at Penn Station for some time now. I choose this restuarant because my husband won a gift card. There was no line so I was able to order immediately. I chose their Italian sub in a wrap and held all the veggies. So my sandwich was essentially meat and cheese with the oil and vinegar on the side. I paid for my order, declining cookies, fries and drinks thamiloat are offered at the end. There were two others waiting before me to get their orders. It took less than 5 minutes to complete my order and leave. My food was delicious! I added the oil and vinegar to my sandwich when I got home and it gave it a nice tangy flavor! The restuarant was not busy at all and it was very clean. It has adequate seating if you want to dine in. The customer service from ordering to check-out was excellent!!! I went to Penn Station to order a sandwich which most of the time taste good. I ordered a turkey sub cookie and med lemonade, I was shocked it cost 15 dollars.I took the food home and the sandwich was really bad.. They raised the prices and the sandwich was bad. Having frequented nearly every sandwich chain in the country this was our first stop at a Penn Station. Prior to this, honestly, I'd never heard of one. The service was excellent. Management has done a great job training employees to be well mannered, friendly and helpful. As for the sandwiches they are a splitting image of Quiznos. If you've ever been to one of those (also a chain) you'll find almost the same menu here. This isn't a new concept or a better one with a twist, unfortunately. Possibly the biggest difference is they hand cut fries here and have just ok fresh squeezed lemonade. Why come to Penn Station over the other sandwich chains? There's a Panera across the street which has a better selection of cold cut type sandwiches and a Jimmy Johns there, too. Penn Station blows away spots like Jimmy Johns and Subway, no one will argue that. It's a tad below Jersey Mikes, on the other hand. We left with a few things in mind: fair price, great service, slightly above average sandwich and a good place to come if you need to get in and out quickly. There's nothing that wowed us to return right away. It's a standard model we've seen in the sandwich world for a decade or more. The only difference is they might have more hot subs here. Meanwhile, you shouldn't be able to find anything to complain about, which isn't the case at Jimmy Johns and Subway where quality falls far short. read more

I love this place, but went in today, and they have some new employees. One in particular smelled so bad I had to turn my face away. It smacked me in the face so hard my nose hairs started burning. Clean, neat, plenty of parking and fast, friendly service. This has summed up my most recent visit. When my husband and I brought our 2 boys here, it was completely dead. We walked right up and gave them our order and within 7-8 minutes, we had a very hot and wonderful meal! They even brought it out to the table we chose to sit at. After eating, we took the boys to their restrooms and found it very clean and usable. Nothing out of order. I can't complain about this place. read more

When I went there for the first time, I asked them if their bread was vegan (I could figure out the topppings on my own), and they didn't know. So, I "googled" it and realized that it is. I told them (thinking they would like to know), but they didn't seem to care. Come on, I can't be the only person that will want to know! Anyway, the food is spot-on heavenly every time! Philly cheese is the way to go, along with fries & a lemonade. The artichoke sandwich with pizza sauce (without cheese) is vegan! I do think, their employees need to be more senstive to those with disabilities. Why have an ADA compliant rest room when the high chairs are blocking access? I was there tonight & some guy couldn't get through! I moved them for him, even though a worker was standing right there at the drink station! I was really irritated. She could have offered to get out of his way and help me move the chairs. Once he got out, they moved the chairs back! I've been eating PS subs for years and usually they are very good. The Italian is my favorite and usually what I order but this time it was sub-par and somewhat disappointing. This is the first time that I have gotten a sub that was such a disappointment. I'm hoping the next time will be an improvement. read more

Love this place! The staff are always really friendly and super fast! During our last visit my boyfriend and I wanted to share a large sub and a small fry. We didn't mention that we were sharing because we don't like to be a pain and usually just divide our food ourselves. But when they brought it out, they'd separated our sub and fries evenly between two trays. It might just be something they do there, but we thought it was really awesome of them to do that for us without even asking. I always go in there saying I'm going to try something new but then I always end up getting the club (add banana peppers). I am never disappointed with the club so why change it up? I love cheese steak. Although a bit pricy, Penn Station tends to have the best cheese steak in the area. My only grip is that you have to place your order in two locations. The first is near the grill. There you order your sandwich and any fries. You then have to walk down to the other side of the counter to order your drink and pay your bill. Often times I found myself waiting 5 or more minutes at this second station before anyone comes. This seems to be a problem with several Penn Stations that I have gone to. read more

First time visitor to this establishment. Young gentleman asked if we'd ever been there before (No) and was friendly and courteous..and Patient! He was very helpful to us and offered suggestions to make our sandwiches the best possible. We ordered 2 Dagwoods--fully loaded--and a Chicken Club. Also, an order of cheese bread and medium fries. The fries were excellent--just crisp, not rubbery--and medium was enough for 3 adults! The cheese bread was tasty, but we thought it would be served open-faced. It was folded up just like the subs though. The subs were just crazy delicious. Usually, each of us would eat 1/2 sub and save the rest for later. NOT TODAY! We all slammed them...just couldn't seem to put the sandwich down! Little pricier than other sub shops, but worth it. read more

Went there on a Saturday got three subs and order of fries. Everything was good except for their sliced onions on the sandwich. Not being aware I think there slicing onion without removing the skin layer of the onion which could and almost did become a danger to choking on these sliced and cooked onions. Peel another layer off before you slice it and you will find this more appetizing. read more
