Had breakfast here with family. We had a party of 12 at 9 am on a Sunday. We were seated right away and our server was really friendly. It went downhill from here. We weren't in a hurry and that was a good thing. 2 hours for breakfast was a bit much. We know that Sunday is a busy day for them, so no one was too worried about it. A couple of things were obviously not going well here and it seems to me it had to do with management problems. We had a bunch of people drinking coffee and we asked if we could just get a pot for the table vs. having to grab someone every couple of minutes for a refill. We were told "they are not allowed to do that". We asked to substitute fruit for the bread option on the menu items and were told "they aren't allowed to do that either". We could substitute a pancake or french toast, so we opted for that. They showed up on our bill as an extra charge because otherwise they don't come out with your food because of the way the kitchen worked unless they ring it as an extra item. Our food came out at all different times. The first food out was cold so it must have been sitting for a while. Omelets came out cold with missing items and looking like they had been stepped on. We were missing parts of every order that came out. Our poor server was trying his best to keep up with all the back and forth to get everything right. He finally got everything out and the poor kid deserved a break. We finally flagged down another waitress for coffee and when she realized that the whole table needed refills, she stepped in to help. It seemed like this restaurant had a lot of policy rules that were affecting the servers ability to get the job done for the customer. The kitchen was having issues with the orders and no one ever checked in with us other than the 2 servers that realized this was a day off to a bad start. We didn't ask to talk to a manager because I figured I would reach out to them after the fact to tell them why we wouldn't be back. Our server did a good job in spite of all the obstacles that seemed to be in his way. As a large party, we realized it is difficult to make things work flawlessly, but this place needs to do something to figure out how to serve "families" since they are a "family restaurant". I have never had my breakfast served as a multi-course meal at Bob Evans before, but maybe we can start a new tradition. First you get your hash browns, then your eggs, and then your toast. If you want your breakfast items all served at the same time, try going to IHOP down the street! We left a big tip since the poor server had to make so many trips. I ordered online for the first time. It was a rainy day and I was going to take it home and eat. I arrived exactly when my tracking email said it would be done. They said they were behind and I told them I'd go to a nearby store and come back. I did and it still wasn't ready.. An hour later they come out and tell me they got the order wrong and need to restart. I was hungry and livid. There were no apologies and a complete lack of urgency or hustle to try and accommodate the huge line. I asked for a refund and was offered nothing in compensation for wasting my morning. Three strikes you are out. Gone down hill fast. Never see manager on floor. First strike 2 hour visit for 4 egg meals and one fish deal. Grandson 'starving. Four meals came out then waited another 10 min for 5th egg meal. No one greeted us stood up front server after server walked by and never said sword. Over half hour plus to get server to take order. Second time again same problem with food being served cold. Today arrived at 4:45 trash can in front by door overflowing with lid propped up by trash. Came to place order for 4 qts soup. Arrived 4 people in front standing. Told them problem of trash not good impression of store and needs taken care of. All 4 heard me while several walked away. If front of house dirty back more then likely also dirty. Ask girl if manager she said no. Did not volunteer to get one. Man behind me was mad he also had long wait and said food was cold. I do not think he is in hurry to come back after comments he said to me. Will contact Corporate Office and also Health Dept. Cold food unsafe depending on what he had. Also menus filthy last time there. No one sanitizing and wiping them down. No business for this time when it use to be busy. Expect better if Bob Evans. Not coming back. This review is from my 9-year old son: This is an awesome restaurant but I recommend writing your order down on a piece of paper before you go. No offense, but I think the menu is disorganized. I think a good item is the apple cinnamon pancake but I think splitting it is advisable. Also, the farmer's choice is good. For good sides there is the bowl of fruit (grape, pineapple, and cantaloupe), eggs (but ask for two because one is small), and the hash browns. For drinks there is the coffee but I would ask for fresh because the old coffee is a bit bitter. For kids meals there is a burger, mac 'n' cheese, and chicken strips. At this restaurant unlike others kids can order from the adult menu. Also the service is really quick. Overall I would rate it 5 stars. read more

This is honestly the worst Bob Evans in the Mason/West Chester/Fairfield area. Unfortunately it's very close to where I work so I sometimes order food to-go if I forget to eat breakfast at home. Never again though. The service here is so slow, and there is ALWAYS something missing from my order...be it food from the order itself, or condiments and utensils I specifically asked for when placing the order. Consequently, I always have to wait around for them to rectify it and if you expect some kind of apology, the joke is on you because you won't get one. You just get to be late for work waiting on them to make an order you placed AT LEAST 20 min in advance. The final straw for me was when I ordered coffee when I placed my order and instead of waiting to pour it when the customer arrives to get it, that's the one item, out of all the others, they choose to have ready to go way before I arrive. As common sense would tell anyone who has it, when u pour coffee from the hot pot and the hot plate it sits on to a cardboard cup and lid with no mouth cover...it's going to get cold very quickly! I mean that's just common sense. So when I get there and I see that my coffee has been sitting there and I ask for a fresh pour, the lady gets an attitude with me for daring to ask but reluctantly went to do it while she got my bacon and my butter that were, of course, missing from my order. Smh. The customer service here is just so pathetic it's laughable. So that's it for me, I won't be coming back. And when my coworkers see that I'm not walking in with the Bob Evans bag in the mornings I won't hesitate to tell them why. read more

3rd time there in recent times. This time was the last. Scrambled eggs were like rubber. Sent them back. Wife discovered 3 dark hairs underneath her omelette. Needless to say, list appetite to eat anymore. Manager comped lunch, but doesn't matter. Won't be back. Was a lit better when Bob was still alive. read more
