Haven't been to a Perkins since I was a kid but was close to Great Wolf Lodge and had time to get breakfast before the pool opened so have it a try. It wasn't busy, which was nice, and got seated immediately. Server was pleasant and attentive. The menu had a large selection of options but seemed a little overpriced for the type of restaurant. I ordered a meal with broccoli and asparagus as sides. I specifically asked the waitress if the broccoli came buttered, and she assured me it did. The broccoli arrived completely dry and when the waitress came back to see if we were ok I told her the broccoli had no butter on it, and instead of getting me some, she chose to argue with me that there was butter on it. Even if there had been butter on it, (it was completely dry) she should have just gone and gotten me some butter. As an aside, the asparagus was woody and severely overcooked and completely inedible. The menu is huge for a breakfast and dinner diner style place - I love the option you can get a muffin as a bread option instead of toasts or pancakes with a meal. Their country fried steak is delicious. The blueberry muffins taste the same as they did when I was a kid. They were cash only the time we came but were nice about it and with only 2 front of house staff - the service was still top notch and food was delivered fast. The waitress even did everything she could to make sure my boyfriend could try different flavors of soda out of the freestyle machine - I don't recommend vanilla sprite. read more

Perkins is my family's go to brunch place. Every time I come home, I come here with my dad. I get the omelet with breakfast potatoes and pancakes. It's always good and the pancakes are wonderful. When I came this time, the potatoes were a little undercooked which was a little disappointing. But overall its a great family brunch spot !! read more

I would give it zero stars if I could. Now I know why it's been 14 years since we've been here. I explained how I wanted my eggs and the lady even asked me to explain it. OVER LIGHT, NO COLOR. NO BROWN SPOTS. Came out with color. I was trying to explain what no color meant and she literally yells I DON'T COOK YOUR EGGS! Then she wants me to remove just the eggs that are being remade, holding an empty plate for me to 'scoot' runny eggs onto the plate, instead of letting the kitchen do that. She grabs the plate and takes it, spouting she will do it. The eggs come out perfect. They knew how to cook it. They didn't take time to. Sorry, no tip. Never again. Let me say the food was good, hot and tasty, once they got my eggs right. Which would have been enough to bring me back had they did it right the first time. NO ONE talks to a customer that way. When we got home we were very underwhelmed with our food. The French Toast looks like Texas toast sprinkled with cinnamon. No whip cream. The hash browns were marginal. I hadn't been to a Perkins in years. I think I used to go in Toledo and Columbus, but they are long gone from those areas. Seeking breakfast on Sunday at almost noon, we had hoped to beat the church crowds but found every breakfast place packed. Perkins was on our way home, and it was busy but not packed- we were seated immediately. Service, start to finish, was excellent. Our waitress helped with our toddler, bringing an extra plate and wipes, checking in often, etc. All other staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfy. Chains aren't my thing, but it was a very nice experience. And the food? Pretty darn good. Sweetie got french toast and bacon, and liked it. I got a 'pick two" thing with a BLT and Cobb salad. Both were pretty close to perfect: fresh veggies, great bacon, decent portions. Baby K shared some of our food, had her own apple juice, and colored. We enjoyed a relaxing, tasty meal. Prices were reasonable, maybe a little high, but the quality was up there and the portions were big enough, though not huge. I was tempted by pie but was pretty full. Baby K got a cookie (and dipped it in the honey mustard from my salad...) I'd definitely come back, and now I wish we still had them in Columbus. read more

Have eaten here 30 or 40 times in last couple years after the Tylersville location closed, always for breakfast. Note that goetta is served here even tho it might not be listed on the menu. They bring you a pot of coffee which is a nice touch to give the servers a break. This location is busy at times and has suffered staff shortages during Covid, but their servers have weathered it well--service is always friendly and attentive. Two servers in particular (Bonnie and Jessica) are two of the best servers we see anywhere, and we eat out every day. read more

When I took my mother to this perkins on the date of 4-20-22, we ordered our food and immediately after she left i noticed all the broken booths next to us, the tables missing, dirty rags left out, dirty tables and booths. Putting aside the looks of the restaurant all together, the food we ordered took quite some time getting out to us, I would say a good 15-23 minute wait for our food afterwords so I wouldn't suggest this if you were in a hurry, Personally I know my mother has a problem sitting still for a long time so this was a bit irritating to her. The restrooms are very dirty, and just have a bad old moldy smell to it. Now that i'm looking back there some small dead flys in the actual restroom. Now that our food is out everything was cold. The cheese on my omelette was absolutely disgusting. I can't really explain but the cheese tasted old, besides the cold of the bacon, it was delicious, crunchy here, chewy there. Hash browns were disgusting, cold, and had no taste to them. Moving on to our last item, the pancakes; Were the most delicious tasting pancakes i've tried, they were soft and fluffy and savory, i couldn't get enough of the pancakes. After we had paid for our food our waitress never returned to our table, so basically it's kinda like once I have your money I'm done with you. The fried prickles were so dry and hard and crunchy, didn't even taste like pickles just tasted burnt. Coffee was not that great, I got a pancake kids meal (I'm 13) and my dad forced me to get it and the pancakes were really small smaller than my hand, also I saw 3 or 4 dead flies in the windowsill when we were leaving I saw a giant cobweb. Lastly, my "brother" found a old ladies hair in her food. They really need to clean up the reasturant. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had to go through. I placed my order online, and it said to pick up at 8:15 am, and I arrived at the location at 8:30. I stayed at this location for over an hour trying to locate my online order that I had proof that I placed, and still, there were no signs of my order. Even though things happen, I'm more frustrated with how the managers and servers handled the situation; they weren't trying to accommodate me (the customer) in any way. With my order no where In site, I asked fora refund for the order and will never return to Perkins again. Ate at this location for the first time today for a business breakfast. They have done a good job of spacing out tables to provide the necessary space given the current situation. They weren't very crowded but our server was very attentive and friendly. The portion size was good and the food was fine just nothing spectacular. Standard breakfast fare. Good spot to come too if you want to get much more food than you need. The pancakes and muffins are delicious and your choice of one comes standard with almost every breakfast. The coffee is abundant. Service was a little slow this time but as far as I could tell, the was only one person working front of the house, so considering that, she did great. I never ran out of coffee which is very important and she brought cookies for all three kids even though they didn't all order off the kids menu. Not really my type of place (get taken there by family who loves it), but to be fair - regardless of my opinions of Perkins food in general - this location is always clean and well kept and everyone working there has always been extremely nice. We went here for a late breakfast and waited over an hour and still no food. Server Hannah was inattentive and actually forgot that she took our order, I guess because we had been sitting so long. She said she would check to see what the hold up was but then walked past our table several times with no update on our food. When we told her we were leaving because we couldn't wait any longer, she offered no explanation other than there were only two cooks and that they were "slammed". There were many other empty booths and were not remotely close to what any reasonable person would consider slammed. There were several other tables that had been waiting quite a while as well. Best Perkins around. Very clean, including bathroom. Great service. Continous checks on coffee, drinks and how you are doing. Orders are taken right and served quick and hot. Great biscuits and gravey by the way, yum! I am disabled using a walker and cane, they always take time to accommodate and see that Im comfortable. If there is ever a discrepancy over your meal. It is handeled in a very nice and timely manner also. One more point. They have a rocking bakery. Pies , muffins & eclairs to die for! They have other baked goods too very , very good stuff! I tried this chain 2 times.....so this is my honest review. The service is awful, both waitresses today and yesterday, don't listen. I asked today 3 times to get extra gravy! The food is mediocre at its best, portion are small for the large price tag! I asked for eggs over medium came out burned, my sons eggs weren't scrambled they were flattened and cut up. We ordered a variety and none of it was very well done with exception of the steak hubby ordered and the dinner salad I ordered. Daughter got a pasta dish, she said it was not very good at all, she picked a few thing out but left most on the plate, hubby had a steak, he said it was cooked correctly but his side items were not to his taste (baked potato and veggie). I ordered a roast beef stroganoff. It was far too salty and the noodles were mushy. The roast beef was very dark, it looked burnt. The desert cupboards looked bare, but we weren't asked about them anyway. We were not offered any condiments (one person got hash browns (ketchup), and hubby's steak (no steak sauce offered) No bread was served. Their fruit bowl should have been an embarrassment, that's all we will say about that. I would assume that items off the grill would be a better idea since the steak was well cooked, but the other food seemed like something heated in a microwave from a market box. read more

I wouldn't normally give chain diners five stars, but this was probably the best chain diner experience we've ever had. The manager was sweeping the entry rug as we came in--that says a lot. He opened the door, showed us to the booth we wanted, and an unfailingly smiling waitress brought our food out extremely quickly, faster than I recall ever receiving it at a Bob Evans or Denny's. The food itself was the usual diner food, but as such it was really good--you could hardly expect better from a place like Perkins. The waitress was especially good, brought extra napkins and extra milk for the boys unasked, and was warm and polite. The manager came by, as managers used to do a lot more, and asked how the food was. The place itself felt like a throwback to family restaurants from when I was a kid. read more
