Decided to come here for lunch during our road trip to Miami. Service was good. Food was just okay.

Pot roast sandwich is nothing like the picture on the menu. Ordered "Crispy" French fries that were soggy and mushy. I think they put in about 23 fries because the container was half full. Green beans are stringy and maybe 2 small pieces of ham. Great place for breakfast but not DINNER

    Thank you for breakfast Gracie

My sweet friend Gracie took me out for breakfast at this Bob Evans today. Our server Lauren was quite busy but still gave good service and was attentive and polite. Gracie and I each had tasty omelets plus I had a starter of grits with 1/2 & 1/2 on them instead of butter...my preference. Gracie also ordered a yummy burger with fries in a to-go container to take home for Tom's lunch. He certainly was pleased with that surprise. Complaints are: There wasn't any hand cleaner available after opening the door using the handle that everyone uses who enters. Also, Gracie signed for the credit card transaction using the 'pen' attached to the 'card reader'. I asked the staff if the 'pen' is cleaned. Staff stated "Not after every use". Given today's health issues...I believe the 'pen' should be cleaned after each use as well as hand cleaner should be provided after entering the restaurant using the door handle that has encounters many hands. Both would be good PR.

Traveling break! I refer to a drive by meal- on the interstate- see a sign and pop in. We were actually going for something else a little faster but the line was way too long- so we opted to sit for a bit and enjoy a good meal. I love Bob Evans turkey plate and was very sad when our local one in Jax closed (on Hodges). So that was for sure what I ordered- John for the pork tenderloin plate- both meals were the smaller portions and $7.99 each- aka- lunch under $20! Heck yeah! Our server was very friendly and efficient and food was out pretty quickly- I love any restaurant that gives you bread ahead of the meal to eat so the gap between ordering and getting your food seems non-existent! I am always tempted by their pies- but I knew I had cake in my future- so I didn't overdo it! Great travel stop.

    Brioche French Toast

Waiter wasn't too patient. Instead of listening they just wanted to be heard. I ask to sub meat for hash browns and they insight on me getting the cheapest. A plain brioche French toast. I said no I want what's on the pic expect the meat and I stead hash browns. I thought we we clear. But then I am served something else. I hear some discussion in the back. Apparently my new waiter didn't realize I ordered the brioche. So when I came to me it was slightly on the cool side (and this is from someone that doesn't like hot food). The dish was also way to sweet. When I got the me check, I charged me the full price of the Supreme and also the hash browns, I said why and was told that it didn't come with it (although it on the pic, and I doubt blueberry and creme toppings are worth 4 extra in price). Too bad I didn't have time to argue because I needed to be somewhere and had to leave immediately.

I really liked that they have this big drop down screen that converts the bar area into a sort of covered patio area that lets the breeze in while the fans do their thing. It felt like a tgifridays at first but the patio-ish area makes it stand out from other chains like that. Maybe it was the fact that I had been traveling all day and had barely eaten, or that I had a killer blood-sugar dropping headache, but I thought the food was killer. I ordered the steak and dozen fried shrimp combo which came with 20 shrimp. Awesome! I ordered the broccoli and mashed potatoes with gravy and everything was awesome. I loved the butter on the steak, made everything just taste rich and delicious because you had better believe I do not cook with that much butter at my house. But for a special treat while traveling, it was delicious. The shrimp were perfectly fried and some of them were rubbing up against the butter so thy were delicious too. I ate them first so they didn't have time to get soggy. The mashed potatoes were red potatoes with just the perfect amount of skin still on and chunks still in it and I loved the gravy. And the broccoli was also delicious, also cooked with butter and not just boring and bland. Definitely not the healthiest of meals considering, but not the worst option either. Definitely couldn't eat here all the time without my waist complaining, but I was very happy and so was my belly and head. The service was pretty nice too, the people were all lovely. I will definitely be back when I have been really good and deserve a cheat day, there is a ton more stuff on the menu I want to try.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. The honey croissants were forgotten after we asked for them. They came out and looked like they were under baked.
