Went to pick up in the evening,the tire was flat, the service person delivered the car knowing the issue! Had it given back to fix... Finally got it fixed and picked up the car 2 days after. I have had several issues with the service department. The latest was them putting my appointment down for the wrong day. So when we arrived no loaner available and had to reschedule. They said they sent out an email which they did and it contained the wrong date but I did not see the email and would not have doubled checked since I made it very clear what day I needed to come in and got confirmation verbally of the day I wanted. I have had other occasions where things that should have taken a day took several. However, Larry Shapiro in Sales in excellent and the only reason I bought my car from them was due to Larry's outstanding effort, but that will be stated in another review. read more

Sales side is horrible, do not go here, go to Valencia BMW they will give you an awesome deal there. This place offered me 8k less than what Valencia offered for my trade-in and also didn't want to drop the price of the 3 series by a single dollar. Again Valencia gave me 8k less on the new 3 series WITHOUT negotiating. They are very unprofessional and act with an air of arrogance that is unbearable to deal with. If you want a good deal without getting ripped off like many of the good reviews on here, go somewhere else (specifically Valencia). They will give you the base money factor and the best price on the new car. Can't speak for the service side. read more

this will be the first and the last that i will buy another vehicle on this dealer! not my fav place and will not recommend i bought a CPO 428i that was supposed to be inspected by 3 people ! we did a test drive the sealtbelt guide on the passenger seat was not activated so i thought there was no guide after all after buying the car , after signing all docs i drove my car o the customer parking and wow i saw this broken black thing under the drivers seat , i dont know where it came from i went back and they told me it was a seatbelt guide! they bow showed me how it works and its automatic but when i test drive it it did not even showed up! They did not clean the car at all , the inside interior wasnt polished ! its a nightmare !!! but today 9/28/2018 I went to have my car seatbelt adjuster repaired , i got the best service adviser her name is RUBY GARCIA she rectified the mistakes that I got from the sales department, she saw how my car was given to me ! i told her all my heartaches regarding this car! There is so much to write and explain about my experience that I had with Bob Smith BMW. First thing is walking into car dealership or any dealership can be overwhelming for most, but as soon as we were tended to serviced with Sales Associate, Christopher Barbettini, time flew by like it was nothing. His helpfulness and recommendations were tremendously cooperative & in turn made our experience in searching, test-driving, and readying the process of purchasing the vehicle going seamless. Going to the car dealership today is far different than what it was 10-20 years ago. This experience and decision to make an investment on a vehicle like the BMW X5 for my family and I was a bit nerve-racking & with a linger of some doubt in our mind, however, Christopher completely assured us our decision and helped made our second-guesses into a choice of confidence with by making possibility into a reality. In addition, with the process he was neutral allowing no biases to allow us what is best suited for both parties but especially for us. Showing us all the possible routes of payment plans of being approved and what they can mean in the long-term ahead of payment plans (point A to point B). Nonetheless, this was clear-cut decision to be made and allowed us to be informed about what my family and I are doing for every step of the process. At the end of that day thinking about it in retrospect Christopher changed my opinion I had earlier about car dealerships in general from this point forward to looking to go into another car dealership experience with Bob Smith BMW again. Sales: The salesman was great. He wasn't pushy. He listened to all of our questions. He was personable. Really everyone we interacted with that day was great. 5 stars on the service end Service: We had an appointment to have the car service and detailed. I arrived on-time. It took a while to meet with an employee. 1 of the reasons why the car was brought in was for clay bar. She said it wasn't covered/there weren't any notes on the account. Finally it was straightened out. Then she said she would arrange a shuttle for me. I waited and waited. I asked and she said the shuttle employee should arrive soon. Nearly 45 minutes later, I asked the desk at the service department, and they said the shuttle employee just went to lunch, and wouldn't be back for an hour. I ended up taking an Uber, but why waste 45 minutes of my time, plus the time checking in the vehicle since they didn't take proper notes on the account. 3 stars for the service department. read more

Best new car experience I have ever had. Working with their Internet Sales Manager, Stefano Balbusso, the car was a special order from the factory in Germany which took three months to be built, shipped and delivered. The whole thing was done through emails. I never met Stefano or set foot inside the dealership until the day I picked up the car. Stefano was terrific every step of the way. He earned my trust and never let me down. The Finance Manager, Karen Thompson, was equally professional in handling her end of the purchase. It was an all around satisfying experience with these very good people. The car is pretty nice too. read more

Great service team. These guys really went above and beyond. Any one who owns a BMW expects some extra maintenance costs when you bring them in for service. When I brought in my 2013 528i for routine maintenance, Rey Silva and team truly shined. They thoroughly reviewed the history, maintenance needs, and ultimately provided excellent service. Rey worked extra hard to find some parts under warranty and to get BMW corporate to cover a part of the service. You don't always find a team will to look through the details to help customers. Just bring in my 2014 BMW X3 for regular tune up. Appointment was in the morning(9AM) and they complete the job before 130PM. quick and efficient. Christina(advisor) was cordial and pleasant. Got a loan car BMW 335i for 5 hours. nice. two surprises: Steering Alignment($300) and Fuel Injector Service($270). They were "recommended" by dealer because I have 18,500 miles. really? are they necessary? I have BMWs for 20 years, never heard of or been charged for these services when car still under 4-year warranty. one other surprise: only one restroom, can't use it 'cause it under "cleaning"! I never give reviews, good or bad, but Bob Smith BMW has such poor service that it has to be addressed. They lied about running my credit, lied about being able to pay cash with a check that I showed them three days prior, and were the least accommodating sales team that I have ever dealt with. Luckily, I was able to find the exact same car at Valencia BMW at a cheaper price with better options that same day. I am glad that so many people have had a better experience then I have, but BUYER BEWARE they only want finance options here. Cash is not appreciated. read more

I've spent a lot of money on service here for my BMW and every time I've come in for service I know they are trying to gouge me and frankly I'm fed up with it. In the past I've had a good experience with Paul but not this time. I had my rear pads and break fluid flush done back in Dec. 2017 since, my rear pads were at 1 mm and making noise. After they completed the job there was still intermittent noise coming from the rear. I called Paul to set-up a time to have their work checked and he set-up the appointment for the following week. He then calls me the day of and tells me there are no loner vehicles available, fair enough. I tell him let's reschedule for the following week. I come in the following week and he spends a half an hour trying to justify why they need to charge me a $190 diagnostic fee to recheck their work, which was completely absurd. I disagreed with him and a half an hour later he agrees that they would recheck their work at no charge, making me late for my appointment. I leave for my appointment and tell him I'll be back to go over the inspection with them he tells me to call 10 mins before I arrive and to come in after 1 pm, to make sure one of his guys were available. I call him 10 mins before I arrive and leave a message letting him know I'm on the way, once I get there he tells me that his foreman and diagnostic lead are on lunch and I have to wait. I ask him how long and he tells me "I don't know they don't check in with me" rude and absurd. He makes me wait an hour before I finally see my car going into the shop. I follow him to the back and Paul tells me to go have a seat (rude) so he can speak to them, which I suspect was to conspire. Just as I suspected I'm talking to the forman Adrianne and he starts telling me the same thing Paul said, that they needed to charge me a diagnostic fee to see what's going on, again I disagreed. Then he tries to blame the issue on a previous separate issue that was already resolved. I disagreed and then he tells me it's most likely the caliper which they still need to "diagnose" I told him why didn't you diagnose it while you were replacing the pads. He said they don't do that and that they have to charge for it. Which is completely absurd since the pads sit right on the caliper. That's like saying I put your tire back on and didn't tighten the bolts because I have to charge for it. Then he tells me that actually they wouldn't have been able to install the pads if the caliper was bad I said ok. He then says it's probably just a sticky caliper (which again means a bad caliper) basically they didn't want to tell me the first time it was a bad caliper so I would have to come back again and get the breaks redone along with calipers which is negligent. I asked them to check the rear differential fluid and torque it accordingly. They complied but then I notice them putting this green grease on the bolt to mark it so they can see if anyone else tries to open it. They didn't ask me if they could do that and nor did I authorize it. In the end they quote me over 3k to replace the calipers which never go bad on these cars and which at most would cost $500 per side parts and labor. Nevertheless, to add insult to injury he tries to quote me two calipers instead of the one I may need, again completely absurd. These guys are crooks I've had their work verified by another shop and they lie. They told me my control arm bushings needed to be replaced, which was not true. I would stay away from this dealership they are crooks. I know they have to pay for all those new expensive renovations but that isn't they way to do it. Bye!! read more

Service was smooth, which Is why I gave 2 stars but the sales experience was really annoying. I was looking into selling them my BMW 640i. Had a 10am appt. found out the sales manager Matt Smith isn't even in until 11. Seriously? They even sent me a reminder at 9am. I waited an hour for him and he is the manager. Robert Cole was nice enough but he's is the one who made the appt and nee all the info. I feel like he new they would low ball me but figured worth a try. It's not his time he's wasting right? And he didn't even end up showing up. By 11:30 I met with another guy. I ended up wasting 1 hour 40 min. Be very careful with the sales dept there. These guys don't respect your time. They literally do not care. I didn't even get a reply to my message about it. In advance I provided my payoff, my vin and my CarMax offer. I was led to believe they really wanted the car only to get an offer $8k less than CarMax. What Bs were they relying on? These guys are rude, and do not care about your time and whether you work etc. If you are looking to buy or sell a car, focus on dealing with fleet or internet. I'm response to the comment, it was not about the low ball offer, it was the fact that I had to sit there and wait over an hour before anyone even looked at it and the lack of care after I brought it to your attention that day. read more

STAY AWAY .... Worst service... I had to bring my car three times in less than a month I brought it the first time because the drivers back seat massager was not working so they change it and it was time for a change of oil so they did it (I reserved a loaner and they didn't have one so they gave me a Ford F-150 pick up with no gas on it at all) They told me that next day they will have one... I called to say that I was getting there a little later in the afternoon ... 5 pm, they say it was OK. I was there at 5:15 pm and they told me that everyone was gone and they couldn't do anything (making me lose my time again) I picked up my car on a Friday and on Saturday my wife took the car, when she came back she told me that the car was on fire.... I came out and there was smoke all over and the car was licking oil... On Monday I towed the car back and they "fixed it" I went on a trip and came back Thursday night... on Friday I had a meeting early in the morning in San Diego so I drove from Calabasas at 4 am.. close to LAX I get the low oil indication.... AGAIN I stoped in aguas station and the car didn't had any oil... They just forget to put oil on it Put 4 quarters of oil and drove to my appointment and back.. called the Service Manager, Tony and I met with him this morning He just told me that they use a pump for the oil and most likely there was something wrong So now I am seating here in the waiting area, losing my time again..... while they change the oil, I hope this is the last time I am in this agency I called BMW North America so they can check on the level of service of this agency as is not BMW standard read more

Just wanted to say how happy I've been with my service advisor Paul Simms. My rear passenger tire had an impact bubble and it was replaced with my warranty (I highly recommend purchasing the tire and wheel, many people don't realize that you can negotiate the price of the optional products too). Paul said I could wait on purchasing the right wheel (wasn't pushy) but since it would have been relatively short order until the rear passenger would have been needed to be replaced, I inquired about that too. I did price out tire places, of course a dealer will never be as inexpensive but Paul was more than fair, making the hassle of dealing with a tire store more expensive based on time wasted let alone the hassle. I bought my first BMW last year from Bob Smith BMW after shopping around at a few other dealerships within driving range of Camarillo, CA. I was in the market for a certified pre-owned (CPO) 3 series. I ended up getting the exact car I wanted at an amazing price. Two things stood out: 1. Buying experience 2. Service after I purchased the car I chose the online route, and after browsing their CPO inventory online gave Greg Huber (their Internet Sales manager) a call. While the exact car wasn't on their lot, he kept an eye out for me, and when one was available he had it ready to go for a test drive when I showed up. Couldn't have been any easier. Greg didn't just take me on a 2 minute test drive either. Bob Smith BMW is located near the Malibu area, so we took the car through the hills so I could get a good feel for the handling. Needless to say, I was sold on the car even more after that. Other dealerships seemed very strict on the fact that we'd only drive it a few exits on the freeway, then turn around and go back, hardly enough time to get a feel for what you were getting yourself into. When it came to discussing price, it was quick and easy. I had done my research ahead of time so I knew where it should fall, and after a few quick calls with each other we were able to agree on a price. Once again, easy, quick, and professional. Greg had the car detailed for me, and ready within days for me to come and pick-up. I literally came in after work one day, sat down, signed some papers for a few minutes, and then had my keys and was on the road. None of this late night negotiation, walking away, coming back, then signing papers business. This had to be the smoothest and most enjoyable car purchasing experiences I've had. What's crazy is the same great service didn't end after I drove off the lot. Whenever I had questions, Greg has always been quick to respond via email/phone, and whenever I come in for regular maintenance he's there to answer questions. My first experience with them was horrible: dirty loaner car, actually felt like the alignment on that car needed to be done, nothing was done in a timely way, it was annoying at best and concerning at least! I just had to go in for what is a yearly service appointment and absolutely everything had changed: Fast, courteous service, had me in and out! Although I live in Arizona, I recently purchased a car from this dealership remotely from an internet search. The sales person that I dealt with was Chris Berettini. I have bought a lot of cars over my life, and had a number of not-so-great experiences. This was a very pleasant exception. Not only was the price very fair, but Chris was extremely responsive and addressed all of my questions and concerns about the process faster than I would have expected. He is admittedly new to the business, but went out of his way to stay in contact with his management to expedite the transaction. Having (very) recently had a BK discharge, the idea of getting a well priced lease on a car that I would enjoy driving seemed like a pipe dream for at least a couple of years. Everything I had read online indicated as such, especially when it came to BMW. I stumbled upon Bob Smith BMW by chance on my way up to visit a friend. I thought I would at least see what they could do for me. They knew upfront the challenges of getting me approved, but they made it happen on an 328i lease. Aside from their tenacity and diligence, my only saving grace was that I had a perfect lease history with BMW in the past. However, that still would not have sufficed if it weren't for Bob Smith's relationship with BMW Financial. The whole process took about a week from beginning to end, with my sales associate David Prince, updating me each day on the progress. The amount of work they put in to helping me certainly outweighed whatever commission or compensation they were to receive from my small deal. If you are unfortunate enough to have a financial hardship, dealerships that you have remained loyal to can act like you don't exist. New relationships with dealers can be even harder to forge as most can't be bothered to deal with a BK or someone with a low FICO. This was not the case at all with Bob Smith/David Prince. They never made me feel subprime or an inconvenience. Finally, when it came down to signing the paperwork, dealing with Finance Director was a pleasure as well. Regretfully, I can't recall his name but he was amazing. I felt that he had my best interests in mind when we were wrapping everything up and offered some very helpful advice. Bottom line is that if it weren't for Bob Smith, I would be paying twice as much on something half as nice at a subprime dealership. Who would have ever thought BMW to be the more affordable, cost efficient option? I highly recommend Bob Smith BMW/David Prince and look forward to a ongoing relationship. read more

A while back I brought my new i3 in for their 2nd delivery program which is designed to help you out if you have any questions about your car after driving it for 2 weeks First let me say that the associate that helped me, Niminde Perera was the best! I'll explain how: I am a total nerd when it comes to any new technology, and had done extensive research into the i3 before buying it. When I finally got it home I proceeded to read through the entire owners manual. No joke. Every page. So when I came to see Niminde I was confident that he wouldn't have any new information for me. Let me say that my hubris got the better of me! He showed me features that I didn't find in the manual (or didn't remember). Such as if you hold the voice command button down for 3 or so seconds, it will use your phones voice commands, e.g. Siri, instead of the cars! I use this all the time now thanks to my guy Niminde. He was also very friendly and courteous throughout our meeting and super on top of knowing all of the features of the i3. Guy deserves a raise! Anyway, if you are going to come for a 2nd delivery for your car, I would recommend you ask for Niminde specifically. The guy knows his stuff and you'll definitely learn something new about your vehicle. read more

I experienced my first car purchase here last night. Let me tell you, I will never go anywhere else.. My buddy and I had been shopping around all over the LA area and we had a feeling everyone else was taking advantage of us because of our age. We are both in sales so we have a good idea for bs. After leaving another dealership the night before empty handed we called Bob Smith and spoke with JC Reznikoff about a few cars that just came in the day before and hadn't even hit the internet yet. He was very descriptive over the phone on the options the car was equipped with and wasn't pushy at all. We have him the price we wanted to pay as well as what we wanted to pay out of pocket and he told us he would do whatever he could to achieve that. 30 minutes later he emailed us a quote and we set a time to meet the next day after they would be finished with their check ups. When we showed up the day after he had both of our cars parked next to each other ready to go. We asked to test drive them and he said absolutely without hesitation. When it came down to finance, he was relaxed but in depth. When explaining that they offer body damage coverage and tire coverage he left it up to us and even gave us a great deal on that once we decided we should get it as well. We did the whole thing in a couple of hours and left that night absolutely blown away by their service. All of the employees had a happy face and were ecstatic to see us there even though we were there after they closed. If you are on the market for a new BMW or preowned BMW this is the place you need to go. I would highly suggest contacting JC if you want to be taken care of. Unreal experience. Let me begin by saying, I love BMW I own both a 2020 x5 and a 2020 m2 comp and I've never ever had an experience as frustrating and horrible as I just experienced at the service department at Bob Smith BMW. Specifically with service advisor Rob Meyer. My BMW X5 has full coverage, which includes tires ( any issue , flat etc, they are covered). Rob made my unfortunate situation of having a nail in my tire , turn into a 5 hour nightmare. Rob was very rude in how he treated me, his lack of professionalism leaves me to wonder how and why he is representing BMW and especially why he is in the "Service" Advisory role. He made my time seem unimportant, and especially by using such phrases like , go have a seat and make yourself comfortable as if I wasn't over waiting 5 hours for my vehicle. The point that set me over the edge was the fact that after all my frustration, he proceeded to try and charge me .96 cents for an out of pocket fee ? Out of pocket fees for fully covered assets made me laugh. He refused to hand over my car , I had to take more time and call my coverage (bought from BMW) to clear this laughable charge. Something a service advisor should do and look into I would hope? Well after I cleared it with the coverage folks, I went back and waited to explain again to Rob that it was all covered, he again said he was busy and finally after I almost lost my cool, he made a phone call and realized that I was right. I did not feel like saying anything else, I just reached for my keys and got the hell out of that dealership! I will never again set foot in that dealership, which is unfortunate as it is my home dealership. I rate Bob Smith BMW 5 stars. I've been a loyal Bob Smith 328i owner for the past 6 years. The staff is always professional, courteous, and basically takes care of me with each visit, whether routine maintenance or consulting options with my lease options. Today, I stopped by Bob Smith to turn in my 328i lease. Special recognition to BMW manager Tiger Zakharyan (Preowned Sales Manager). Long story short, My dad had a recent stroke and is paralyzed, I was recently laid off from my job... Tiger (Zakharyan) listened, understood my unique situation and was very compasionate.. Tiger went out of his way to take care of my situation. With my dad in ICU, me out of a job for the 1st time in my life... Tiger and Bob Smith BMW stepped up and took care of my lease situation and that rates very high in my book. Thank god there are still good people in this world, caring, compassion and helpful. Such a disappointment. My wife and I came here interested in leasing an X4. After searching the lot on foot with our salesperson, we were told that there weren't any in stock that we could look at. We sat at her desk to provide our information so that she could call us when they had one in, and I explained that our lease isn't up for a few months and there was no hurry. At this point, the salesperson brought out a paper list and said that she found one that the manager was motivated to sell, it's an outgoing model but fully loaded and at a discount that would fit our budget. We were interested to see this car right away. The deal seemed too good to be true, and might have even motivated us to payoff our current lease. After leaving to ask her manager about this car, she returned and told us that we couldn't see it because it's down the street getting detailed. She said she would call us soon to arrange a test drive once the car was back. When she called, she told me that the car was on a truck to be taken to the auction in 2 days and that her manager didn't want to go through the trouble of getting it off... "if you aren't serious"... but she has another X4 I can test drive. It wasn't my first choice but I told her that would be fine as long as it's the same model and trim. So now we're trying to find a time in the next day and a half where we are both available to do the test drive, before the car we want is sent to sell at auction. Sure enough, my availability doesn't work with her schedule. At this point I told her that "this isn't the level of service I'd expect when I'm looking at a $50,000+ luxury car" and that I wanted her to let her manager know. She said she would. She called me back and basically says "to tell you the truth, the manager would rather sell this car at auction because of its poor residual value, but I do have a new model I can get you in to and it's only $50/month over your budget ......." I have never experienced a clearer example of bait-and-switch and manufacturing urgency in a sales experience before in my life. I could go on, but suffice to say I don't find their tactics ethical. read more
