Three commercial auto body shops confirmed that it was for workmanship and poor materials that were the only way I would end up with the cracks you're seeing these pictures. So don't let the superficial fool you into believing you're getting a great deal or a good work because you're not it's worth the extra couple hundred dollars to have a professional fix your car. I dropped my car off on a Friday afternoon. Picked up a rental a few streets away from Enterprise. The following Monday they called me with an estimate and told me to expect my vehicle about 10 days later. They got it done within a week and my baby looked brand new. If you're reading this it's probably too late for you…read more By now, you may have realized Mark's Auto Body is not a place for regular, working-class people or regular (economy) cars. First, they kept telling me about alternate parts and that they couldn't use alternate parts if I wanted a certified Chevy repair. My ninja, this is a Chevy Cruze, not a Lambo, just make it run so I can reach my full-time job, attend my full-time graduate education, and run my part-time business. I couldn't care less what parts you use. But he just basically said if they didn't use the parts that cost more, they wouldn't be able to stand by their work (no warranty). Not a good look.... But secondly, when you try to say the damages are over $8k for a car only worth $9.5k (2011 Chevy Cruze) instead of totaling the car out... That's what you call a vulture and is mainly the reason why I believe Mark's Auto Body needs to take several seats. Shame on Autonation Chevy (now Ourisman Chevy) for referring me to them when I asked them for a Chevy dealership. Mark's Auto can respond to this review any way they desire, but pictures don't lie. Attached is a photo of my estimate from Mark's Auto (they call it a blueprint) vs a KBB private party valuation. Again, over $8k for a $9.5k (maybe) car. Instead of being honest and totaling it out to begin with, they wanted to go ahead on with the repair. Then they told me multiple times that I would be responsible for paying whatever the at-faults insurance company didn't pay. Yes, I got nervous and scared. I pleaded with them. I told them I'm in school and I work, and I don't have enough money to pay the difference (it was 2k after one adjustment). Especially because the accident wasn't my fault! They were NOT having it, lol. I said OK I don't want my car to be here anymore. Then, I was told it would be hundreds of dollars for them to remove my car from their shop. Also, at this point, I'm looking on Yelp and seeing reviews from people just like me. Lol, I don't know how their google listing rating is so high? Anyway, I called my insurance company, who declared total loss RIGHT AWAY. Both insurance companies (both at-fault's and mine) had nothing but negative things to say about Mark's Auto body practices. Greed, it's all greed. In the end, I didn't have to pay anything and I was relieved to have Nationwide swoop in and rescue me because I promise you these people over at Mark's are like robots with no emotion. Especially, Jason, he is rude when you ask probing questions to get the answers you need. You should probably only come here if you are rich and really, really LOVE your flashy, expensive car. If you have a regular, schmegular economy or commuter car, do NOT come here because they will try to rip you off. Like I said, pictures don't lie.

D&V has been the go to shop for my fleet of work trucks as well as my multiple project vehicles over the years and I have nothing but good things to say about their attention to detail and integrity. The most recent project they completed for me was a complete repaint of my 1991 Nissan Skyline in which they replaced the left rear quarter panel, both rocker panels and addressed various other locations in which rust had started to spread. It took right around a year which was to be expected for a project of this scope and my car looks incredible. Every panel was properly stripped, prepped and painted. The finish is consistent across the entire body, even the engine bay and trunk. The entire time my car was there the whole team was very communicative and kept me in the loop anytime they encountered something that required my opinion or additional parts/labor. There isn't another shop in the DMV that I'd trust my projects to.

Charged me over 1100 to paint two small trim pieces and paste onto the doors. Wanted 550 upfront. Sent me the bill on Friday, and by Monday morning gave me the "payment overdue" notice. I should've stopped there. But went for it due to past experiences. The car came out worse than it went in. Paint had tiny dents along the edges, most likely due to poor prep. They can't seem to find the door's edge for a simple alignment. One side gap was so large I can put my hand into it. Even worse? Someone decided to spray tire shine as part of the clean up, but didn't bother to properly apply to the tires. They just sprayed a few spots on the tires and let it drip. So the oil and grease in the tire shine flowed unto all four wheels. My wheels are anodized, so the grease permanently tarnished the wheels, leaving them with unsightly streaks that can't be washed off. And believe me, I tried. Bottom line: overpriced mediocre work and overall lack of care that caused more problems than solutions. Hopefully you'll have more luck, but I'm done with them. Very disappointed that it has to come to this, but this is not the shop I used to know.

He called me back within 15 minutes and explained all of my options better than the other shop and the car insurance company combined. Then, on Monday, once I had seen the car and taken pictures, he gave me a $100 solution to what the other company wanted $3300 for (and should have seen in the first estimate) and said another piece they claimed needed to be fixed was structurally sound. He offered to work with me to get secondhand parts to fit within my budget if I chose to salvage the car or drop the insurance claim- and I never paid him a dime for his services! I wish I would have taken our car to D&J instead of going through insurance and the other company. They are honest, communicative and truly have the customer's best interests in mind!

I went the next day to get several belongings out of my vehicle. I spoke with Mike (owner) and asked him if my vehicle was totaled. (It was pretty close to being totaled). He laughed and said it was no where near being totaled, and it was only about 5,000 worth of damage. I used to work at a car dealership, I know how a body shop works. They don't want it to be totaled, no money in their pocket. I immediately called Bill's Auto Body and had my vehicle removed from Mike's and towed to Bill's. They did an estimate for 10,545.43. And it only needs to be 11,500 to be totaled. So YES, it was in fact very close to being totaled. Bill's were absolutely amazing to me!
