My experience with AAA Finneytown and Cherry Grove has been beyond frustrating and unacceptable. On January 21, 2025, I went to the Finneytown location to have all four tires replaced on my Polestar 2. I was told that an alignment was required and that they could perform it. Trusting their expertise, I approved the alignment. After the service, my car began pulling severely to the right. I contacted the Finneytown location on January 23 and spoke with Megan, who was courteous and professional. She informed me they were fully booked until the following Thursday and suggested I try another AAA location. I then went to the Cherry Grove location, where I was informed in writing that AAA Tire & Auto Service is not authorized or equipped to perform alignments on electric vehicles. This was confirmed by their own documentation, which I have attached. Polestar has not released alignment specifications to anyone outside their authorized service centers. Despite this, AAA insisted they had the correct specs. To verify this, I called the Polestar service center directly. Not only did they confirm that the specs AAA provided were incorrect, but they also reviewed the specs AAA used and stated they were for the Performance Edition of the Polestar 2. My car is the Dynamic Edition, which requires different alignment specifications. Polestar kindly provided me with the correct specifications from my last service with them in September 2024, and I have attached these for comparison. This unequivocally proves that AAA used the wrong alignment specs, which caused my car to pull severely to the right. Additionally, I have attached a receipt showing that the Finneytown location performed the alignment, which they never should have attempted. While I was refunded for the alignment itself, AAA has refused to take responsibility for the damage caused by their mistake. I now have to arrange for my car to be fixed elsewhere, which could lead to significant costs, all due to their incompetence. To make matters worse, William Johnson, who claims to be the manager overseeing the Cincinnati area, was extremely rude and combative on the phone. He wouldn't let me get a word in, dismissed my concerns, and showed no willingness to take accountability for the issue. His behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful, and I was left feeling uncomfortable during the conversation. As a woman, I do not trust him to treat women fairly, and I'd think twice about having him handle your wife's or daughter's car with care or respect. His conduct is unacceptable for someone in a managerial role. If you own an electric vehicle, do not trust AAA for alignments or any service requiring specialized knowledge. They are not equipped to handle it, and when mistakes happen, their management will not take responsibility. I am attaching: A receipt from the Beechmont location stating they cannot perform alignments on electric vehicles. The alignment specifications provided by the Finneytown shop, which were incorrect. The correct specifications provided directly by Polestar. A receipt showing the alignment was performed at the Finneytown location. I had a problem with my license plate and could not get it off. I went to auto zone and advanced auto and even tried to drill it out. No tools would work . I called Bob Sumerel on Winton rd and Dave said he would look at it. He was able to get it off , rethread the hole and put my new license on, all in 30 minutes and at no charge. My car was towed in for a lack of electricity to the starter or dashboard today 2/19/24. Alaz, Corey, and Frank treated me quite well and I was out and going in a matter of minutes. They were straight forward and intentional. The previous guys John and Calvin were very inconsistent and I don't feel were very truthful. As a matter of fact, I think I was sold a battery, starter, and manifold when the battery was fairly new. I didn't have time to argue and just paid the bill. If it wasn't for my car dying on me and needing to have it service immediately, I had promised myself to no longer go to the location and to find a new mechanic. Great service. read more

Do Not ago to the Finneytown location!! I had my car towed there and asked them to check the battery and alternator. Then do an oil change and rotate the tires. They did everything but check the Alternator!!! I had the car back less than 8 hours with a high pitched whine and the car quit on me again just like the first time. I went to a different mechanic this time and they replaced the alternator. When they rotated the tires they didn't get the hub caps back on tight. They now rattle like crazy. We have taken our cars here for many years to this Bob Sumerel (under the formal management) and LOVED the customer service we had received. They were also honest and let us know of what needed to be done right away, as well as what could wait. Unfortunately, when Harley took over, EVERYTHING changed for the worse. A few times, I would have work done and waited...and waited...and waited. I was in the waiting area for hours with no update from anyone. I had to come up quite a few times to ask what was taking so long...only to get a "they're working on it" reply. Again, I had to ask, after several hours of silence. Other times, I would try to find out about what was going on with the car or work, only to be cut short, talked over, or completely ignored. The very last straw was when my wife tried to find out answers concerning her car, and was rudely addressed, talked over, cut short...and basically "yelled at"...unprovoked. It was so loud, my daughter in the next room heard him. Sadly, this was from the manager, Harley, himself! Please do yourself a huge favor...don't go to this location. If possible, find a better place which will treat you like a human being. Anyone who can be rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and act in this way, doesn't deserve any business whatsoever. read more

We got a flat tire about 3 miles from this location, completely on the other side of town from home and with our two young kids and no spare. My husband called to make sure they had our tire. They did, we slowly drove other (nerve wracking), and Matt immediately helped us. We were in and out, 35 minutes door-to-door. They had a few kids' toys and a kids' table, which helped a lot. Plus a free membership to AAA. Definitely a great experience, minus having a flat tire at all. read more

Do NOT come here. If triple AAA asks you if you want to take it a AAA tire center say no!!! Do your research. Ended up thinking this was going to be a good experience and I was wrong!! Insanely expensive prices you can definitely get services for less at a dealership. They didn't even bother to warn me/explain that a "low traction" symbol would come up after they replaced my tire. They were just like sign here and here and here are your keys bye. Never had an experience like this. Other places that I've had my tires replaced at have always taken the time to warn me of any possible notifications that may come up due to patching a tire/replacing a whole one and would also ensure that the tire pressure on all tires were up to the standard and of course reasonable charge someone for the work being done. This place did none of those things. Please save yourself the expense, the panic to discover a strange notification from your car and the disappointment in lack of customer service. read more

The guys at this Bob Sumerel location are great. When I need to have something fixed or replaced, they present all the options and then try and find me the best deals. They don't try to upsell services or products I don't need. They have an outdoor air hose where people can fill low tires for free, and both times I needed air, one of the guys came out and filled it for me. read more

Gave this facility multiple chances on auto repair (as well as tires). Costs were as expensive or even more costly than going to a dealer for the same service. After repairs were made, more things began coincidentally breaking/wearing out within a week or two. After a neighbor expressed concern with multiple repairs on the same item by Bob Sumerel, we both tried a local garage (A Auto Electrical & Repair) and our problems were solved. Repairs were 60-70% less than Bob Sumerel and things stayed fixed, no coincidental breakage/wearing within a week. read more
