My group came in yesterday and the service was horrible and for some reason the waitresses sarah and Lydia were rude asking for good reviews about them and tipping them. Right away that's despicably rude then to ask for tips afterwards umm okay how about a no thank you. They gave me my drink 25 minutes after they were done talking and giggling. After my hookah came out harsh and no one was attentive to us. Plus on the side note the place inside looks like it's rusted and breaking apart inside. It literally looks like it can break down any second. To add to this place, they have people go to the bathroom when there's urine on the counter of the bathroom and floor everywhere. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'd rather go to Egypt across the way that's a way better place to smoke and get drinks. The concept of this place is very cool, IMO. I love boba and I love hookah. When I came here I ordered a code 69 hookah and a milk tea boba. I love that they put ice in the hookah water, the flavor was perfect. Boba was delicious, too. I knocked a star off because the set up, decor, and couches are a little too raggedy. 6/01/19: Came here with a group of 7 friends and also my boyfriend (total 8). I had heard of this boba and hookah cafe and I was really excited to come here for myself. I ordered the glittery pink lemonade simply because it said it would be glittery and I was interested to see what it would look like. However, the store was so dark that I couldn't see the sparkles until I further examined the picture again at home in a brighter light. The drink is super pretty and tasted okay, but was a little pricy for okay-tasting lemonade. The hookah tasted good and I had a lot of fun. The servers were also super nice and efficient. Tip: don't be dumb like me and be careful passing the hookah! I carelessly passed it to my friend and burned myself for one second, but it caused a "bubble" and I now have a scar on the inside of my arm. Love this place though! read more

2 stars. I would have never come here if it weren't for my friends. It's essentially a hookah bar that serves up boba and crepes. I came in on a weekend afternoon and I'm pretty sure this is a spot that is popular at night for the drunk young crowd so the place was quite grimy in the daylight...as soon as I walked in, the place reeked of urine. None of my friends could smell it but I totally could! Then I went on to use the restroom and that's exactly where it was coming from! Blech. Get an air freshener or clean your restrooms more frequently. I needed to use the restroom again after a little while but I chose NOT to step foot in there. Once was enough. I'd rather hold it. Also, the white couches are so NOT white. I could see the dirt seeping through the leather. I felt so uncomfortable sitting there and didn't want to touch anything. I bumped up Boba Bear from 1.5 to 2 stars solely because of their boba. It was pretty good although I would never come in here if I was craving boba as there are COUNTLESS boba spots in Rowland. Anyways, I tried the almond milk tea boba and lychee slush boba. The tapioca was chewy and the milk teas had a sweet consistency. The drinks are served in cute boba bear mason jars. More of a hookah bar than a boba bar. Why is it called Boba Bear? There's artwork of a bear doing hookah but not drinking boba. Very much a lounge setting for their main focus: hookah. Loud music. Not your typical boba spot. Ended up getting a drink to go because the outside patio is sketchy at night. Smells like sewer and is in the back corner of a plaza. But the boba hot milk tea was good. Just can't get over the fact that it's more of a hookah lounge than a boba lounge. But if you're looking for that, then this is definitely a spot for you! Parking is plentiful late at night. Next to a market and multiple eateries, so may fill up during regular day hours. If you're not from the area, then look for the umbrellas behind HK market. The parking lot lights don't work so it's really dark and since it's a hookah lounge, there's no bright lights or anything to signify that there's an establishment open in the corner. You'll see some patio lights but that's about it. Remember: food adventures are out there. So eat 'em up! read more

The boba drinks were disappointing to me. The caramel milk tea tasted different than I'm used to. There wasn't much flavor and it seemed like they didn't use half and half or something. We walked in and ordered Hookah. We had trouble finding a comfortable table and couch. We attempted to sit outside but the smell was really bad, so we came back inside. We then waited for a good 20 minutes for the hookah. The staff consists of young guys, who seems to socialize a bit too much. Ill give this joint credit for having really good hookah. The art work and lighting is also interesting! Overall, the atmosphere and hookah is great. My experience was okay. This location needs work and more attentive staff. First hookah bar I've been to in the area so don't really have any other points of comparison, but top factor will have to be the ambience. The space is pretty big with lots of mood lighting + an awesome playlist that plays BANGERS all night (sry no EDM). Friends and I came on a weekday night, but it was still pretty packed. There is a minimum 1 drink per person so if you plan on coming to just hookah, know that you'll be putting more on the bill than you expect.. though I did see other ppl just ordering water. Nothing special about drinks and the last drink we ordered never got made until we left at closing. We got the Basic peach and that split between 4 people lasted us a good hour and a half, so I recommend bringing a bigger party or staying for longer if you're getting sizes bigger than that! read more
