Solid late night drink :) My lil bro and I went here cause everything is closed after 11pm and we're craving boba. Surprisingly this place is still open. My bro and I were being cautious cause the ambiance looks like a Walking Dead episode at night and no one is around. We just went to this alley looking sliding door to order.. like something in a horror movie haha. We ordered in a kiosk and we didn't see our server til he handed our drink.. it's damn sketch but thrilling to say the least lol My bro and I ordered their regular boba milk tea in a cute bear container. Alright we're sold cause the boba is quite good. One of the best experiences that we had in a boba joint! Overall, hell yea I would go here again especially around 11pm.. shit is cool :)
Great shisha place, and they also sell amazing boba. I love getting Thai tea here; it's perfectly sweetened. This was my first time visiting the Rowland Heights location. I usually go to the one in Koreatown, but this location is great too. It's spacious and has plenty of free parking, unlike the Koreatown location, which is valet only. The staff here are very friendly.
I only came here for the boba after seeing the cute bear shaped cups that they came in. I didn't go into the hookah bar section so I can't provide any review on it, but based on the drinks alone, it was a little disappointing. The Thai tea was overly sweet and lacking the distinct Thai tea flavor, and the boba was a little hard. My friend got the passionfruit green tea and it was better and the right amount of sweetness. Even though the drinks weren't the greatest, at least I got a cute plastic cup out of it! It's located in a quiet alley of a plaza, so it can be a little hard to find. Service was quick and our drinks came out fast, and there was even a claw machine in the store that we played with while we waited for our drinks.

This boba spot is a little hidden from the road because of a large white tent covering the name of the spot. If it weren't for previous photos, I wouldn't know where to find it. What I liked about this place is that if you want to enjoy the bar area, there's an entrance to the right that will lead you to a seating area. I wanted to do a quick boba order so I made my way to the left where there was a kiosk for me to make my order. The order process was easy and there were a lot of options. I ordered the strawberry milk tea and it was very good. The milk tea was creamy and had all the flavor but wasn't too sweet. I didn't really speak to anyone until I got my order, so I can't really speak on service. The boba was made pretty quickly though so I was happy about that. This is also next to a restaurant that had an off-putting smell. Other than that, and with how difficult it might be to find, it was a good overall spot.
Honestly not an ideal place, especially with the other options in the area. I went with a friend and the entirely experience was a bit eerie from the start. The place is located in what looks like a hidden back alley, with no open signs or indicators of business taking place here. After entering through a sliding door, we waited until a worker popped out like we were in a movie, and we ordered. While waiting we wanted to check out the place, and I think this is where I felt the most unease. They have a back room for hookah, and while checking it out, the worker, who was alone, walked up to us in the middle of making our drinks and asked us to leave since we weren't smoking. It was a really weird experience with a really interesting man. It felt like we were in a business acting as a front to be honest, which might not be the case, but the overall experience was really weird. Anyways, we got our drinks and they weren't good at all. The honeydew slush didn't taste like honeydew and the mango tasted more like papaya. Not a good time at all, and I felt a huge sense of relief leaving.
Starting with the positive first, the drinks made were decent. I used too good to go app to get 2 drinks at a discounted price. They literally made it while i was there so its not quite in the spirit of too good to go but rather simply discounted prices on drinks the house chooses to make. Technically customer service was good once I got the worked to come out. However, when i first stepped in, i thought that maybe the business was no longer running. I stepped in and it was completely quiet. The big tablet with payment system, the lights, claw machine, and really amything that would indicate its still a functioning business was off. I rang the bell a couppe of times and called out to no reaponse for quite some time. Just as i was about to ask for a refund on too good to go and report the business defunct, I hear someone in the back say something. It took maybe a other minute for the guy to come out and it seemed like they had a bad foot or something. The whole store in general seemed like an abnadoned store and a little unkept. Anyway, overall the cups are cute, customer service was good, and drinks/boba were maybe average or a little bit above.
My friends and I had a good time here. The server was friendly and attentive. The prices were decent. There was enough seating for groups. The vape was just $5 so good for the time there as it wasn't strong and probably will not last long. The yogurt soju wasn't strong but it was kind of a creeper. They also have happy hour for $3 beers late night so we also got some beer. This is a great place to hang out with friends. We played games while we drank, vaped, and smoked hookah. Overall cost for 4 people was under $100 without tip. However, there is a surcharge for whatever reason... There isn't too much variety with the games, but it's free!
Came by because they were on too good to go. Listing stated "fresh fruit" drinks with decent ratings on both apps so I figured I would come by and give them a try. While the containers are cutely themed, milk tea and Thai tea are not the fresh fruit drinks advertised that I was expecting. Response from the staff is that it's whatever is left at end of day which makes sense. But tell me you're going to tell management to correct it and offer some sort of fix for my experience. Maybe their other stuff tastes better but these were subpar. The boba included with the milk tea was also subpar. I have better tasting instant stuff with boba for cheaper at home. The entrance into their inside seating was pretty cool with a faux elevator. Thought that was a nice touch.
Sometimes I just need some cuteness in my boba drinks and I don't care if the tea actually has boba or other toppings or not. Boba Bear is a small hidden gem for cute bottle boba! Good price that cines with a bear shape bottle and delicious tea. There's no seats inside, so it's more a pick up and go shop.

I love this place! Tommy was extremely nice and helpful. The place has a super chill vibe and great music. 10/10 definitely coming back soon. A great place to hang out or even do some hw during the day. They even have tons of outlets, which is always great. The boba is excellent too! read more

Haven't been to boba bear in a while, but damn they changed everything up! Amazing boba and customer service from Giana. Just like before with the upgraded decor! Recommend coming on a slow day like today (Monday) since nobody's here and you can just kick it with the homies without worrying about being too loud and being able to vibe with the music. All in all 10/10! read more

Boba Bear is basically hookah and boba milk tea bar combine in same roof. If you don't like people smoke than this place might not be for you. I didn't come here for their hookah but more basic stuff like their drink which is actually very good. I try their oreo slush, it was one of better slush I had for a while. Not too sweet and was delicious. The boba add on topping was only 30 cents and was chewy. Sit outside would be idea since you can easily bring outside food nearby to save you money. read more

2 stars. I would have never come here if it weren't for my friends. It's essentially a hookah bar that serves up boba and crepes. I came in on a weekend afternoon and I'm pretty sure this is a spot that is popular at night for the drunk young crowd so the place was quite grimy in the daylight...as soon as I walked in, the place reeked of urine. None of my friends could smell it but I totally could! Then I went on to use the restroom and that's exactly where it was coming from! Blech. Get an air freshener or clean your restrooms more frequently. I needed to use the restroom again after a little while but I chose NOT to step foot in there. Once was enough. I'd rather hold it. Also, the white couches are so NOT white. I could see the dirt seeping through the leather. I felt so uncomfortable sitting there and didn't want to touch anything. I bumped up Boba Bear from 1.5 to 2 stars solely because of their boba. It was pretty good although I would never come in here if I was craving boba as there are COUNTLESS boba spots in Rowland. Anyways, I tried the almond milk tea boba and lychee slush boba. The tapioca was chewy and the milk teas had a sweet consistency. The drinks are served in cute boba bear mason jars. As for hookah, my friends had the white gummy and they seemed to like it. Being there for a little over an hour, they came by once to change our coals and asked if we needed anything else. BRB. Awesome vibe here! Everyone is super cool and the staff is especially very polite and always checking on your coals to make sure your hookah is lit. Great boba would definitely recommend this place for a group of friends to come hang out. read more

I rolled up thinking tea lane was still in business. but it's been replaced by boba bear. who knew boba and hookah went together ^^ Chris, the manager, was manning the place, there was a couple hanging in the corner, two other groups came in and out but overall it was pretty empty/quiet midday. Chris walked me through the flavors for their drinks and hookah, super informative, no 'tude. I ended up getting their sucker punch (mixed w green tea) with aloe and their "skittles" hookah (combo of strawberry, pom, blueberry mint, the mint was a nice touch), per chris' recommendation. i ended up killing 2 hrs here catching up on emails (free wifi) and jamming to their musica, $25 is a little steep for a spur of the moment chill sesh but i enjoyed myself :) read more

This place is ridiculously rad. I come here at least once a week to smoke away some stress! The boba is excellent, and the coffee is some of the best in So Cal, strangely enough. The vibes are incredible and so is the service! I've never ever had a bad experience here - boba, customer service, or hookah wise. The shisha is premium quality and so are the set ups. Whoever DJ's for this place is also GREAT. I've had nearly every flavor on the menu! If you're looking for far out vibes and some great drinks, this is the place to go. Also, Angel (he works during the day only, I believe) is an absolute sweetheart and always hooks me and my buds up with some INSANELY GOOD shisha mixes. I swear you won't be disappointed. A lot of hookah places are kind of shady, but BB is low key and crisp and mellow. This is the place to go, end of story. 6/01/19: Came here with a group of 7 friends and also my boyfriend (total 8). I had heard of this boba and hookah cafe and I was really excited to come here for myself. I ordered the glittery pink lemonade simply because it said it would be glittery and I was interested to see what it would look like. However, the store was so dark that I couldn't see the sparkles until I further examined the picture again at home in a brighter light. The drink is super pretty and tasted okay, but was a little pricy for okay-tasting lemonade. The hookah tasted good and I had a lot of fun. The servers were also super nice and efficient. Tip: don't be dumb like me and be careful passing the hookah! I carelessly passed it to my friend and burned myself for one second, but it caused a "bubble" and I now have a scar on the inside of my arm. Love this place though! read more

Located in the HK2 Supermarket Plaza Shopping Center in Rowland Heights. I ordered a Coffee Milk Tea and it was basically just a Vietnamese Iced Coffee...it was not like the Coffee Milk Tea you get at normal boba shops. My sister got The "D" or something and she likes it. She's been here a few times for the drinks and the Hookah. You might get her patronage again, but you won't see me again. I'll pass. read more

Came last night for the first time and it was yummy! I walked in and was greeted by a young lady... told her it was my first time and she was very nice enough to talk to me about some of the different teas. Ended up trying the Honey Milk Tea with boba. I wanted the cute mason had which was an additional $4 so she got a box of new jars from her car, rinsed it out and put my drink in a regular cup. Very accommodating. Will definitely be back. PS she even have me a sample of the original milk tea that is made with Brown sugar. Yum! read more

[item options: 4.5/5] for a hookah lounge, i don't expect much in terms of drinks and food but they have a good selection of milk teas and sweet/savory waffles [food: 3.5/5] i ordered the matcha waffle while my friends got a variety of drinks. the waffle was nothing special and could've came with a bit more ice cream. my friends weren't too enthusiastic with the drinks either [service: 6/5] ray was an amazing server and a great conversationalist! super helpful in recommending us items!
