Had a great time at MAX BBQ Night! The fried chicken wings were really tasty--crispy and flavorful. The KTV rooms are also beautiful and have a great atmosphere. The service was very good too--friendly, attentive, and helpful. Overall, a fun place for BBQ, drinks, and singing with friends. Definitely recommend!

Max just recently opened, it used to be Late Night Bar and remodeled! It's a new hangout to have some drinks and snack food! Atmosphere is nice with a pretty ok karaoke system if you like to sing They also have private rooms for parties. The only downside is their selection of food is limited. But service is great, and they have a wide selection of alcohol!

After every session of golf, you have to hit up this night bar. Loved their services and skewers especially and their KTV is great for groups to eat and drink and talk! Prices are fair and service is excellent!

came here with my friends over the weekend & their service was ok, but not excellent! they are strict with their set rules, yet their overall service was bs! they had no air conditioning in their karaoke rooms, their microphones were not fully charged, & the food was ok, but not excellent as well!

Came for the karaoke & stayed for the food. The skewers & beef tongue were packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and seriously addictive. Everything paired perfectly with the atmosphere and great service. Good vibes, great food, and the perfect spot for a night out. Will definitely be back for more skewers and songs!

I came in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, and my first impressions walking in was the interior is clean and pleasantly warm. I ordered the creamy mala seafood pasta since it was the most unique dish on the menu. Service was good but nothing special. Creamy mala seafood pasta, 2.5/5: The pasta was inoffensively average. There were some bites that were creamy and some bites that weren't. I honestly thought it could use more cream or butter to add some more richness. The pasta itself was al dente. There wasn't much flavor overall with the dish, and the mala was very mild (for reference, I can handle medium spice levels at other restaurants). The seafood quality was okay for the price. Overall, I thought the ambiance was really nice, but the pasta I ordered was average at best. Maybe I will give this place a 2nd chance and try something else.

Owners are so nice and cool, one is the chef and the other is a pastry chef. Atmosphere and vibes were nice in a Saturday evening, but food could be a bit better. It's fine for a casual dining but nothing really stood out to me except maybe the Kale salad that was good and never really had it that way before. Brother enjoyed his food and was happy with everything. With that said, we will still come back because the owners and atmosphere are still worth the trip. Maybe will try something else on the menu next time.

I can truly say with my heart that SoCal KBBQ really got the Bay Area beat. The waitlist showed 45m originally but we got in within 25ish. The meat quality was solid. I got Set B so I could try the LA galbi, which was made perfectly. I also liked the rib fingers. They were juicy and had good flavor. I'm simple though, so most of the time I just stuck with brisket. Overall, I'd probably give the food itself a 4/5. Nothing was bad by any means, it's solid and cant do wrong compared to other spots in the area. As for the service, our waitress, I think her name was Christine or Kristine? She was so attentive, friendly, professional, and just completely on top of everything. I was having a really crappy day after work and her enthusiasm really cheered me up. It's really the small attention to detail things that stood out. For example, I love rice paper and by the 2nd time I reordered and finished it, she was like, "more rice paper?" with a lil finger gun action. It's little things like this that make a difference and keep customers returning, so I hope the other staff members also have the same enthusiasm next time I'm back. I was constantly being checked on, my grill kept getting replaced, waters refilled, etc. You can tell this definitely isn't her first time working KBBQ. She just knew what she was doing and was always one step ahead. The service she provided was honestly better than what I've received at high end places like COTE in NYC or San Ho Won in SF, where I'm paying way more and you'd expect that level of service. They also have a couple things you don't see at every Korean BBQ place, like Korean chimichurri, mala seasoning, and cuts like flat iron (my fave) and pichana. I really liked the house samjang too. It had a lot of depth and worked well with the meat. Overall, I'd give the food a 4/5, but my waitress's service is what bumped the entire experience up to a 5/5 for me. I would definitely come back if I wanted AYCE, the food was solid. I really wish we had this level of service up in the Bay!! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. I can't wait to have the rib fingers with that samjang and chimichurri again!

We were a fairly large group, and they were accommodating (FYI, there is a 20% auto gratuity for large groups). Susie was our server, and she was AMAZINGLY attentive. Despite how busy she clearly was, our grills got changed so often, she frequently refilled our drinks and banchan, and often checked in on us if we needed anything else. The service is definitely one of the best in an AYCE KBBQ spot. The banchan were surprisingly really delicious as well! I think it means a lot when a place offers good quality side dishes which equates to every aspect of your meal will be great. It's an often overlooked aspect. The hot food and the meat selections were also great! The pricing and quality really makes sense. The food comes out super quick and fresh, so you are not waiting to make another round as your timer runs down. Also, keep that high-pressure sink in the women's restroom! I loved how strong it was, and it REALLY cleaned my hands!

Everything is cooked over heated charcoal so there's no flame or grimey grills. This results in significantly less smoke and a very low risk of overcooking/burning your meat. Each of the little skewers is heated slowly on a rotating bicycle chain that twirls the meat for even cooking. It's super fun to watch--dinner and a show! Haha. Another plus is that the meat comes in bite sized portions, so no struggling to remove a hunk of meat from the stick and no need for knives! In essence, adult finger food or tasting menu that allows you to try everything. GUI has incredible variety, including lots of exotic meats: chicken gizzard, chicken heart, chicken cartilage, frog, etc. I'm not that adventurous and prefer not to deal with bones, so I stuck with the classics: pork belly, chicken, and bacon wrapped mushroom. Even though GUI is known for their bbq, they also serve tasty side dishes like oysters and cucumber salad. The restaurant is located on the second level of an Asian strip mall just off the 60 freeway. Parking can be challenging during dinner hours so go early. Service is good and they kept the beers flowing. If you have a larger group, there are a few air conditioned private rooms that are nice and quiet. The lamb soup was great too but it was too hot for the weather that day. I was looking forward for my grilled oysters but it was undercooked a little so we asked them to cook a little bit longer for us. Overall, I liked the experience and the price was decent. For $17.50, the special comes with a French-style roast beef panini, shrimp and fish ball rice vermicelli in creamy chicken soup, plus hot coffee or tea. Honestly, it's a pretty good amount of food for breakfast. The roast beef panini was really good. The bread was nicely toasted, and the roast beef was tender and flavorful. Simple, but everything worked well together. The rice vermicelli was also better than I expected. I wasn't sure how I would feel about noodles in a creamy chicken soup for breakfast, but it actually worked! The soup was creamy and comforting without being too heavy, and there was a good amount of shrimp and fish ball to go with the noodles. I also have to mention the service. The roast pork was flavorful. - margarita pizza - been meaning to try their western menu and thought pizza was a good start. The pizza was actually not too bad! I also got a red bean ice - not enough ice and not sweet enough. And I never complain about sweetness and most drinks are too sweet for me. My opinion still stands that Garden Bistro is a solid choice. Not mind blowing but good.

Of course by the time we got to this, we were way too full so I only got a few bites in before I had to call it and to-go the rest. Mentaiko Buttered Scallops - This was amazingly creamy. However I did make a mistake by adding this to the chef's recommendation. The Chef's Recommendation is curated where everything compliments each other. The mentaiko buttered scallops had their usual strong salty taste and super creamy due to the butter, but it was too strong when added to the Chef's Recommendation that I could barely eat it during the meal. The crispy noodles had great texture, the West Lake beef soup was comforting and flavorful, and the eggplant portions were generous. The service was what I'd describe as classic Chinese restaurant service. The waitress came across as a little rushed and occasionally seemed slightly annoyed, but she was still attentive and accommodated everything we asked for without any issues. Our food came out at a reasonable pace, and we never felt forgotten or had to chase anyone down. The atmosphere had its own unique charm. The restaurant was playing early-2000s hip-hop while a Chinese gangster drama played on the TV, which made for an unexpectedly entertaining backdrop. The restroom was also clean, which is always appreciated. My only real criticism is the sweet and sour pork. The batter itself was crispy and well executed, but too many of the pieces were mostly breading wrapped around bone with very little meat. It was the one dish I probably wouldn't order again.
