Family Food Adventure excitement, then…read more.. You ever want to go to a place and have tried, but they were not there when you arrived? or... Try a second time and the truck was there, but they closed 4 minutes before you got there? or... Finally get there and see so many different things that you want them all and then pick the special b/c come on it's the special!!! We finally got the chance to eat here and maybe the food didn't live up to our excitement or maybe it's just because the food was disappointing!!! They have two sizes Teenie and Jumbo When you realize the Jumbo is a Teenie, to a food connoisseur or when you realize your paying $7-$9+ for a hot dog that is a cheap charlie $2 pack of 8 dogs, it's very disappointing. Does it fill you up at least you ask, not by any means we had to go out and eat after spending $48 on 4 hotdogs and 1 pretzel. Nevermind the $23 for drinks from the brewery, only 1 being a wine, please see review of Grove Roots brewing on my page. $71 for 4 hot dogs a pretzel and 5 drinks is definitely not value for our money!!! You know I'm always looking out for our Famiglia's!!! My little one, who loves hot dogs, didn't even want one because she didn't like the options and them she saw her go to, a pretzel, when she is unsure of what she wanted!!! My eldest who is a hot dog fiend, was not too happy with their Virginian, no relish, it was cold and of course not Jumbo, I mean filling!!! The pretzel was honestly the best part of the meal, we all enjoyed a bite size piece trade deal with the pretzel princess!!! The Irish special dog had corned beef and other stuff, check the menu not worth writing it all as it was not very good. The corned beef was cold, there was very little even on it and it looked like the meat was turning, I pulled it off the hot dog and ate the rest, What a 9$ Special!!! The boy got the coney dog and said it was lackluster, the chili was cold. Mom got the Virginian with the relish and was not impressed either! This truck would be much better if they got bigger dogs and had better quality HOT ingredient add-ons for their dogs. All I can say is we will not be getting chubby from Chubby Wubby's again, unfortunately when we go to a hot dog food truck that hot dog better look like a sausage and be full of fresh & hot toppings, that's when a Hot Dog is SPECIAL!!! Maybe it was an off day, but it definitely was not as good as the other reviews stated and definitely not worth the price for a family of 5 that has to go get Wendy's after words, just to have full kids!!! This is a good truck for the bar crowd, but I would go somewhere else if you are trying to have a Family filling meal!!!

This place just started parking here a few weeks ago and I finally got to stop by and try them…read more Like all food trucks they have a limited menu but they hit all the highlights of a good Chicago hot dog and beef joint. He cooks his slices all his own beef rather than using a bagged product like many of the local places that serve Chicago style. You can taste the difference. The fries are all fresh cut on site, (sadly I can no longer eat root vegetables), but they look promising. He uses real Vienna beef dogs and Polish and has real pizza puffs and sausage or pepperoni. Basically it all sounds good. Being only 2 mi from home for me this is a great addition to the area. I hope he stays. From my first time I ordered an Italian beef dipped with hot giardinara and a Polish sausage Chicago style. It took what felt like less than 5 minutes for my order to be up. We talked a bit and I promise to give an honest review. The beef sandwich when first unwrapped did not appear dipped but it was deceiving. The roles he uses are softer and denser than most Chicago places use, to be fair we are in Florida. There was a lot of giardinara and it did not disappoint. I mean this stuff really brought the heat which was a bit unexpected compared to other local places. The sandwich was well prepared and had a ton of flavor. I will try it again. The Polish while good was nothing for me to write home about. On the plus side it was on a poppy seed bun and tasted good. And the minus side it was one of the smaller Polish and I prefer the bigger ones. Also there was no tomato available, which was no loss for me anymore as I can't have them, and I don't believe there was any celery salt. Next time I will ask just to verify. While not a five-star review, as I judge my actual Chicago quality, it was worth stopping and would be a good place to get a tasty meal for the entire family. Do yourself a favor if you are in the area and give them a try.

Excellent food recommendation for all my friends!! Best service in the industry. Best meets best…read moreeats

So today, we decided to make a big detour for lunch on our drive back home. Howard has never made a better dining choice. Though not near I-4 at all, the food was worth the trip! After entering, we waited in a short queue to look at the menu & place our order. Since hubs had been romanticizing their fried catfish, we decided to share a dinner with mac & cheese and collard greens. And of course I wanted grits & fried okra, too. We picked a table and waited only a few minutes for our meal. I really don't know where to start with the food because everything was incredibly delicious. My only critique might be that the grits were not as piping hot as everything else. That aside, those grits were loosely creamy with a drizzle of butter, and made an amazing bite alone, but even more so with the fried catfish. I could not stop eating either, though hubs did help. Plus, the fry on the catfish, & also the okra, was perfectly crisp & light. Yeah, we finished the okra, too. The collard greens were simply outstanding. I loved that they weren't soggy or over-spiced. Hubs & I fought over the last bite. We also loved their mac & cheese! The flavor was decadently cheesy with a thick creamy sauce & a baked cheese crust. And I really liked that the macaroni pasta wasn't mushy. Our entire meal was fantastic. Hubs ate the entire cornbread muffin so it must have been tasty. I'm definitely looking forward to another opportunity to eat at Big Daddy's!

It's not much to look at as it's a dive and next to the corner Citgo station. We were hungry and tired of waiting to eat. So, the waitress pushed tables together for the 12 of us. Even though it took a little while to get our food it was absolutely delicious. A couple of us had breakfast which was fabulous and the rest of the group had BBQ and everyone of them raved about their food--especially the ribs, Mac and cheese, and fried okra. Our server, Mikayla, was awesome. We kept her busy but she was very kind, courteous, and attentive. I have no doubt that we will be back to enjoy some more BBQ at Big Daddy's who actually came out and met everyone in our group.

Was craving ice cream but from a local place nearby…read more This place is cash only and they do offer an ATM machine inside. You will notice young girls working here and I am assuming the owner is a italian or greek lady calling shots when a booth needs a server or cleanup etc. This is a cheap place to get diner style food and some of the burger baskets meaning burger no cheese with fries (no drink) start at $6.95 So here for ice cream - Started with a small cup of 1/2 and 1/2 maple walnut with rocky road. They go by cup on ice cream and not scoops. So a small cup they can give you 2 flavors if you want. I take advantage of this so I can try the array of favors that they do offer. The spcial flavors today was Key lime and Pistachio but they sold out. The other small cup was their homemade fruit sherbet which I chose watermelon and 1/2 coconut ice cream. So the ice creams were ok. The coconut stood out the most. The watermelon sherbet was refreshing but tad too sweet for me. I would probably go for the coconut again because it had shreds of coconut in it. Ordered the Chili Cheese Fries and for $4.95 it was a large amount very cheesey and full of chili with beans however it needed more salt to taste. I would def order this again. Tap water even with lemon still tasted "tap" so just be mindful. Service here was ok - but the girls do hustle and bustle.

However I think I threw my server for a loop, at least based in her reaction, when I said no ketchup on my burger. I was a bit overwhelmed by the attention paid to everyone. Someone would circle the seating area checking on everyone. As soon as they were done, someone else would make the circle. As soon as they were done, someone else. Goodness it was so overwhelming. I could barely get a bite in before some else asked how it was. Relax, let me enjoy it. My only negative, they are cash only. I looked around and did not see that posted anywhere. Thank goodness I had just enough cash to pay.
