What a disappointing place Trailside has become under its new ownership! We stopped by in the…read moreafternoon for ice cream and had a very unpleasant experience. To start, when we tried to order the Dole Whip listed on their menu we were told that the machine was being "cleaned." Yet, they had a large container of it sitting right there that they were willing to sell us as a bulk item for $5 instead of a $3 cup. If you have the product ready to go in a container, why can't you simply scoop out a single serving? More to the point, why are soft-serve machines being shut down for cleaning in the middle of the afternoon? The cleanliness was disgusting! The ground was covered in cherries that were attracting swarms of wasps! Customers were forced to constantly dodge wasps just while waiting for their orders! These cherries were had been there for a WHILE! Someone really needed to go out there and clean up. To top it all off, when we tried to pay with a gift card with THEIR BRAND NAME on it, the staff refused to honor it. They claimed it was issued under their "previous owners". We even had a receipt for the gift card! Super fun to try and invest in a local business by purchasing a gift card but then be denied using it! Refusing to honor your own gift cards and having an unclean area is a terrible way to retain customers, especially in a LOCAL business.

HUGE MURAL that you can't miss when you walk in. Pinks and greens. Spacious. A lot of light and cozy seating set ups. There are even intimate high-top cubby seatings. ROMANTIC vibes. Girly vibes. Details were impressive. Hospitality. They take online Red Table reservations. Welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Our server was Ashley. Super sweet. Offerings. Amazing brunch offerings. See pics. The plating and presentation details were lovely. So refreshing to see orchids on each plate. It felt like I was was in Hawaii. Of Note and Last Impressions. It is a unique concept and tasted essentially what I would have excepted. Not spectacular but definitely a decent omelette. I also ordered a 2 count of the cinnamon rolls, and I'm glad I did because they were extremely tasty and I know I could've devoured more than I should have if I ordered a 4ct. I ordered an iced latte as well and will say that convinced me that this place is more of a coffee shop than it is a restaurant. The coffee menu is extensive which tons of options. In addition the restaurant had tons of outlets and spots for someone to bring a computer and study. There even were individual cubicles for people to have solo study sessions which less distractions, something I've only seen in libraries and not in a coffee shop. I wish I knew about this study spot while I was still in School, I would've loved to study here.

The waitress that immediately came to get our beverage order was so pleasant and sweet that we knew we were gonna have a very good experience here. We were right and she was sweet and right on top of the service and everything was great. I got what was called a green machine omelette that was absolutely delicious and my friend got a meat eaters omelette. My friend doesn't particularly like regular hashbrowns, but he did eat those and we both probably would go back there again if we were out that direction.
