Skip this place if you want authentic bubble tea. They don't even use freshly brewed tea for 80% of their drinks. Most of the drinks are blended and made up of flavored powder with either water or milk as the base. You're basically ordering a slushie/frappe with tapioca pearls. If that's what you want, then you'll enjoy it. I ordered a large Taro II ($7). The difference between the Taro I and Taro II is that the Taro II has vanilla in it, making it sweeter. The pearls are already included in the price, but they also have other toppings at an additional charge. They don't give you the option to adjust the sugar level.... which is standard at all bubble tea places... My drink itself wasn't horrible, but it was way too sweet and chalky for my liking, probably because it was made of some artificial powder. I really, really wish they would consider letting customers have the option to customize their drinks (ice level, sugar level, tea base). The only positive thing I have to say is that the pearls were soft and chewy. Service is very hit or miss depending on the employee working. I can see why people would come here out of convenience since it's open late, but the quality and price just isn't worth it. You're better off going to Gong Cha down the street. read more

We went in around 7pm on Tuesday. This place has two separate parts, one where you order with some seating and another place with more tables. It was clean and there was air conditioning which was a bonus. There were a few in line but we got helped quickly. Ordered the lychee boba drink and a brown sugar milk tea. Service was good but drinks not so much. Ordered a green milk tea which in this store means matcha. I didn't want matcha so the barista offered to make me another drink, which was very kind of her. I asked for a regular milk tea, and was disappointed to see a visible layer of small tea leaves at the bottom of my drink. Honestly I don't know why this place has low ratings bc my experience has always been so homey and kind. I love their brown sugar milk tea and I tried the honeydew milk tea and it but the spot so much. I am not sure if this place should get more than 1 star even though their drink was pleasant. Came in thinking they close at 12am (according to Yelp), but realistically they close at 10pm. With a line of people already ahead of me, when I got my turn I was immediately told they were out of bubbles. Okay, it is what it is. While looking at what I would order instead someone came in after me and this owner took his order before me. Okay, I'm not going to start a fight over this. Insult to injury...the Asian person that came in after me got his drink with bubbles. At this point I had to say something. When I did I was told that was the last bit of bubbles they had. Went here late night after Korean bbq. I appreciate that it was open late but the bubble tea overall was just okay. I ordered the Java chip boba. I was hoping for more coffee flavor and more Java chip pieces in it. Also it was slushy which I didn't expect because normally at bubble tea places it's not a slush unless it explicitly says so on the menu. Yummy. This place is a coffee/boba shop with many options of frozen drinks, and different type of popping bubbles. They have almost every flavor you can imagine. The place lives up to its name: Boba land. The staff is so nice here. I accidentally broken my cup last time I was there, and the gentleman behind the counter fixed it for me. I was very disappointed with this place. A lot of things went wrong with our visit. My partner and I visited here on a Sunday afternoon. The store was busy upon walking in. My partner and I looked at the menu while waiting. When it was our turn, I asked the difference between Taro I and Taro II. Taro II has a vanilla flavor added to it. I decided to opt for Taro I milk tea since I'm minimizing my sugar intake. My partner ordered a citrus drink. We both got a large. I was happy to find out the boba comes with my drink because other bubble tea places charge extra. My partner and I sat down to wait for our drink. We waited for quite a while. My drink came out first. I was immediately thrown off by the amount I received. The cup was not filled to the top. My partner asked them if this was the typical filling. The staff gave a reason about the space there to allow stirring. Doesn't make sense. Everything should already be stirred then poured into the cup. I was not happy for a $7 drink. It wasn't until we were in the car that I realized I was given a taro slush drink instead of milk tea. I just wasn't happy overall with my experience. My partner liked his citrus drink. There was just only one person running the whole place but he was super helpful, polite, and efficient. My favorite boba spot. If I stop here then I'll get a black milk tea without fail. I was introduced to black milk tea / almond combination when my friend used to work here nearly a decade ago. Best concoction I've ever tried. But now I'll just stick with the first since what I want isn't actually a menu item. No other place really has that flavor in a slushee form. Lately the bubbles are a hit or miss. Sometimes you can tell they aren't fresh - a little stale, too hard in the middle. They are open until midnight but will kick you out about 10 mins earlier. It's five bucks for a medium now, I remember back in the day when it was around four dollars, good times. This is considered pricey since I can easily score boba for 4 dollars or less elsewhere. Also if you sit in be careful where you put your hands. The tables in the room next door are a bit sticky. Someone really needs to wash them off. Despite all this I prefer my drink, and to get it I have to come to boba land. read more

It took longer for us to get our drinks than anticipated due to the fact that it was a one man band (only one worker was there). My Thai tea basically tasted like one of those Asian coconut jelly desert which is weird because it tastes nothing like Thai tea lol. Used to go here all the time when I lived by palisades park but after going here last week I left majorly disappointed. I got a black milk tea (my usual order) and my friend got a mango boba and we both had issues with our drinks. Mine was so watery and though it was blended with ice, it was oddly diluted and my bubbles were frozen. My friend's bubbletea was overly sweet and her bubbles were also frozen. I think the trick with this joint is to be weary of who prepares your drink. Every time I've come here there's new counter people and they all seem to have their own methods of making boba. Inconsistent.. The prices are in the $5-6 dollar range and parking around this main street is a nightmare. read more

I've been coming here since a friend of mine told me it was the best place to get bubble tea back in high school. The bubble tea here is consistently good. But the number one reason I come here is for the flavor, Taro 2. No other bubble tea place i'm aware of carries Taro 2. It tastes like cake batter and crack. The other bubble tea flavors are good too, they'll even mix them if you ask. Haven't had much else here besides the patbingsu and ice cream when i'm in the mood. Don't get why everyone hates on the service here. I've never received the wrong order and they're pretty quick with the service. read more
