I came in tonight planning to order, and instead of being greeted, I was immediately asked "Are you DoorDash?" with no hello or acknowledgment. After I said no, I wasn't helped or acknowledged I was skipped over while other customers were served, with no communication like "I'll be right with you." This wasn't just poor service it felt dismissive and uncomfortable. Especially when you're a paying customer, you expect basic respect and professionalism. I've been here before in the past, but this experience completely changed my view. I ended up leaving without ordering. My daughter was able to check out Boba Toko this past Saturday during a Stray Kids event they were holding. The shop was packed with a line that took over 3 hours for them to get through to order boba. The shop also had vendors in there selling things which was nice, but added to the chaos and extremely long line. The staff was friendly once you could order but the wait to order, and the lack of control over people cutting in line made it chaotic. I would probably not go back again during an event. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 8:27PM The manager; I assume, and one of the other two employees had so much attitude like we walked in 10 minutes to closing, after a kid verbally announced she wanted to try the machines the manager legitimately walked in front of her and set up the rope you see stating "we are closing soon" the posted close time is 10:00 PM. The mom had to ask for the ok to let her kid use the machine and I watched him roll his eyes at her as she walked away. 3.5/5 Decent bubble tea and food. It's nothing out of the ordinary but it's convenient since it's in Tempe Marketplace. Many drinks here are not customizable for sweetness and the pho combo has some limitations on what drink you can order with it. I ended up with the beef and meatball pho combo with the tropical lime drink. You can order either at the kiosk or at the counter. Since it was our first time and I had a few questions about the menu we ordered at the counter. When we were here they seemed shortstaffed which led to some long lines at the counter. The pho was alright. It was a good sized amount of broth with rice noodles, scallions, two meatball halves and some slices of beef. Fresh Thai basil and other accountrements were offered to the side. The tropical lime was tangy and refreshing. The sweetness level is fixed for this drink but it wasn't too sweet for me. I liked the bits of fruit in the drink too. Since it was our first time we had a few questions about the different drinks and what was included in some of the combos. The cashier was good at answering our questions. read more

There were only a handful of people in the store and there were three workers we saw, not sure what was taking so long ( maybe they were restocking?) one customer walked out, guess she decided she didn't want to wait? They have food and nice tables to sit at - we got a brown sugar boba. I noticed there was some rewards club, but the employee taking our order didn't mention anything and I didn't ask. After waiting 10 minutes or longer, we got the drink - The boba was served in a cute cup, but BOYYYYYY WAS IT SAWWWWEEET!!! Wowza! Sugar!!! And the boba were so little and tasted like they'd been in their liquid for quite some time! Very small and easily disintegrated. This place is fun! Lots of bright, colorful decor and seating. I ordered the pumpkin latte milk tea with boba and asked for 50% sweet. When I tried it, I was surprised at how sweet it still was, and even asked to make sure they had actually done 50% (they said they did). I also ordered the mega combo which came with fries, 3 egg rolls and 3 fish cakes. The food did take close to 20+ minutes to prepare, but everything was hot and fresh with spicy mayo drizzled on top. Oh gross! This place is infested with bugs! Took my friend from out of town here and we sat by the table by the boba workers. We saw a small cockroach crawl by. Looked around and looked into the kitchen and there was so many dead bugs and little bugs crawling around. Disgusting! One of the workers I think saw us looking and he started sweeping. I wanted a clear jasmine tea with brown sugar, Boba and a cream top and I made sure to say this like five different ways, but I still ended up with the jasmine milk tea. He was not listening to me and he wrote it down wrong. Now I did not ask him to remake it and I did not let management know but The next time I will make sure it's even more clear and I will show him a picture. I was really torn between choosing a tried-and-true place or a new place where we can experience it together. The new place won. So I've come to visit this boba spot and I want to say that I am decently pleased. I do think that it could be better.. for starters the inside of this building is very very cute. It's a great location for a boba spot here in Tempe. It brings a lot of traction which is awesome for business. The cleanliness was up to par and a lively atmosphere. I ordered a Jasmine green tea with no milk. I asked for 100% sweetness and no milk but it tasted so incredibly sour I had to go back and request more sweetener. I usually don't like highly sweet tea but I had to ask for more sweeteners 3 times! Dang! The boba themselves were cooked fine and decent sized. Nothing special and nothing bad. The Thai milk tea was very delicious! Very milky and not crazy sweet nor dull. Refreshing tea! The staff was sweet enough to let me add more sweetener and take time to just look at the menu! Located inside Tempe marketplace. Nice spot to grab a drink if you're already there. The place was clean and cutely decorated. I like the umbrellas and flowers as well as the mural. It was good and she slurped that right up. Tastes like they put real strawberries in there and none of that powder shiiiet. Also ordered the mega cup which is the snack bowl and a drink of your choice. The bowl is French fries topped with fried dumplings, fried Shanghai fish cakes, one Thai fish cake, and mini egg rolls. Then topped with soy sauce and some sort of sriracha mayo sauce. The soy sauce was pretty much all at the bottom of the bowl so you end up just eating the bottom fries that are sitting in it. My kids and I were fine with that but others may not be. Lols I got the mango slush for the drink and it was yum. read more

After shopping in Tempe marketplace I was craving some boba and never seen this place before! They opened just over a year ago and the service was great! The kindest lady at the register helped answer all questions and had great recommendations and even let me sample the Taro tea to help me make my decision. The ambiance is beautiful. They have bright vibrant colors, and super fun decorations for Halloween! They even have games for you to play while you wait, and a good sized seating area. The drinks were beautiful and looked good but were really expensive; almost $17 for two including a standard tip. The drinks were pretty subpar. The mango slush seemed to have a strange powder in it and was very tart. The coconut coffee was bitter and the boba tasted a bit stale. I've been here 3 times and it disappoints me every time. I usually come after a meal at Tempe Marketplace since I always have a boba craving after, and this is right in the plaza. I've tried three drinks and they were all mid at best. Their strawberry dream (?) drink just tastes like straight yogurt, their lavender earl milk tea has a very unpleasant after taste, and the menu doesn't disclose that the brown sugar milk tea has pudding/crème brûlée (that i don't like). The boba topping itself is alright, but this place is pretty expensive for such low quality drinks. I'd say this place's only redeeming quality is the cute store. read more

At Starbucks, our usual order is a matcha latte with brown sugar syrup and I never thought to order that order at a boba store!! Luckily it was slow at the time we went (2:30pm), the worker at the time was a little skeptical at our addition of brown sugar syrup but I think because it was slow, he was able to let us have our custom drink. I feel like if it was busier, we would've had to stick to the menu as is. Anyways we ordered our custom drink and when he handed it out, he even said it looked good when he was making it! My family and I love this place . Clean , Real fresh ingredients with many options of boba and jellies to choose from . My personal favorite is the watermelon, slushy with aloe jelly .
