House Blend Milk Tea (Strong) Black sesame cream top
    Fernando D.

The Thai tea was so good, very authentic tasting. You can taste the tea and it is not overly sweet like many other places do it. Many places overpower it with sweetness but this is not the case here. Service is quick and easy. You can order at the cashier or using the interactive screen. Plenty of places to sit at for studying or socializing. One of my favorite tea spots in Arizona .

Really enjoyed this tea spot in Tempe! It's tucked into what's almost like a parking garage building. Tricky to find at first, but they did do a good job putting visible signs and footprint markers around to guide you in. Huge plus that parking was free and easy. There's also front street access if you're walking around the area already. I ordered the house blend milk tea with the Thai tea jelly. It was delicious and not overly sweet. I really liked the jelly! My friend got the lychee signature black tea and it was SO GOOD. Lowkey wish I had gotten that instead, but I still really liked my drink. We also shared the matcha egg puff, which was a decent size and especially yummy warmed up. The ambience was probably my favorite part! Lots of dark green tones and a very cozy setting. Plenty of space to sit and catch up with a friend.

I was craving something cold and refreshing and decided to get the mango coconut slushy with black tea jelly... omgg CHEFS KISS! It was not overly sweet and was made perfectly. I lovee hechalou. All of the drinks I have tried so far have been really good. You really can't go wrong with their house milk tea. I also appreciate how the service is always so fast and efficient.

I'm brand new to Hechalou Tea & Jelly. Based in a friend's recommendation, I was eager to try anything black sesame. Free parking can be found in the building. Hechalou is popular for a reason. Creamy, toasty, nutty, and refreshing. Perfect for a 100+ degree day. The cafe itself is very cute. But when it got busy, it was packed. It became very loud only made louder by the online ordering ringing from their system at the front of the counter. We ended up hanging out for awhile there. Partly because we waited a long time for our drinks and partly because we really did enjoy our time here. I'm definitely returning for a sweet treat!

On a recommendation from a friend, I ventured to Tempe to try out this Taiwanese tea house. I ordered the Osthmanthus milk tea (dairy free) with signature black tea jelly and an order of original egg puffs (couldn't resist). I loved both and can't wait to try all of their grass jelly flavors! The interior has ample space to enjoy your treats and drink with company or solo. The tables and chairs are clean and well-kept. There is a bathroom requiring a code. I appreciated the free parking in the garage and the boba signs that pointed me where to go and find Hechalou Tea & Jelly. The location is right across from the light rail stop so it is also convenient for those who want to use public transit. Service is friendly and the ambiance is casual and happy. Thank you!

Wow! Simply decorated (green theme) and efficiently run milk tea shop. My boyfriend and I love Taiwanese-style drinks, and I've been eyeing this place for awhile.... Very happy we did. I wanted to taste a bit of everything- I tried the Black Peach Milk Tea with the Thai Tea and Black Sesame jellies. He got the brown sugar matcha with boba. Finally, as a promotion, the very friendly staff gave us a free Oolong milk tea with oolong jelly! Nice! Their milk tea is extremely rich and full of "tea" flavor. I felt as though the peach in my black peach milk tea was a bit lost in my drink with my jelly types- next time I'll opt for only one flavor of jelly. The jellies were smooth and flavorful- the black sesame had a nice depth of flavor without being too sweet. The Thai tea jelly was great. My boyfriend's matcha with brown sugar boba was sweeter, but very good. The boba was perfectly cooked. The free drink (oolong milk tea with oolong jelly) was DELICIOUS! The tea and the jelly had a rich, toasty flavor. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish it all because the milk was so rich and we had already tried our own drinks. In the future, I'll probably stick to a small drink- the milk is very high quality, but very rich alongside the jellies. Staff was very friendly, and it was clean. Parking is a bit confusing, but just follow the signs and you will be OK. Can't wait to come back and try a slushy or green tea.

Not my favorite matcha tea joint! Tea is strong, but just not my cup of tea! We ordered at the kiosk, so didn't have much human interaction. Drinks came out pretty quickly. They make their tea on the less sweet side, so if you prefer sweet, then don't ask for 25-50% sweet. Park in the garage, walk up a few steps, and go through the double doors and you're there! I'll have to come back and try the matcha latte again with more sugar added to see how I like it!

HeChaLou (鹤茶楼) is a popular tea brand, translating to "Crane Tea House" or "Crane Tea Building," representing a blend of elegance, wisdom (crane), and traditional, communal teahouses. It specializes in high-quality tea, featuring signature tea jelly and aimed at bringing people together. I've been here a handful of times now and I think I can confidently say that this place is 5 out of 5 stars. From what I saw, you can upgrade drink sizes on most, if not all, for $0.55 and it's well worth the size upgrade once you find your drink of choice. As a fan of black sesame, my drink here will forever be the Coconut Sesame Slushy with Sesame Jelly. It's sooo good! Pass on the milk teas, they're more milk than tea but I the Daydream Black Tea Latte will get the job done when you want a tea drink. It's a cute spot. They're located at the ground floor of an apartment complex. It's a spacious location so come with friends and families. Want to be antisocial? Bring your laptop. I believe they have free wifi.

I ordered the geisha peach black milk tea with soy and with the black sesame tea jelly. I love black sesame and I've never had it in tea jelly form. It's absolutely delicious. I also tried the egg puff and it was just too dense for me. The tea selection looks really authentic and I love freshly brewed tea. Location is attached to an apartment complex. The gps is correct, park in the apartment parking structure and follow the sign to the shop. Please come and create your own adventure.

I kept seeing Hechalou mentioned, but for some reason never got around to trying it. Well, recently I finally went to check it out and I was very pleasantly surprised! There are so many milk tea shops now and I feel like many of them are subpar, so that has deterred me from milk teas in general. Following the guidance of other reviewers, I entered The Access apartments parking garage and followed the signs for Hechalou parking, then up the stairs and continued following the signs. Ordering at the kiosk is straightforward. The times I went, it wasn't very busy, either no one else ordering or just 1 party before me, so I was able to take my time in scrolling through the options. When it does get busy though, I can see how the ordering process may be slow especially if people don't know exactly what they want. I love how customizable the drinks are. You can choose a tea base and add toppings. My favorite bases are the house milk tea and the osmanthus oolong milk tea. My favorite toppings are the buckwheat jelly and the thai tea jelly. One of the times I went, the worker mentioned the boba was fresh and even offered me samples for both the honey boba and brown sugar boba. Both were really good! There's a good amount of seating to enjoy your drinks/snacks. I'm glad I finally tried this place as it's now one of my favorite spots!

Was in the area and happy to find this Taiwanese tea place. I was excited to try it and wasn't disappointed. Parking was a bit confusing at first, but there are signs that guide you. Parking is in the back with a customer parking structure. The place is cute and clean, and you can smell the tea leaves when you walk in. Ordering seems to be self-serve (or they were just busy), but my drink came out surprisingly fast even after I asked for less topping. The drink was good--the tea tasted high quality and flavorful. I'll definitely be back to try other drinks.

You're not lost, keep going! If you park behind the shop in the parking for the nearby apartments just ensure you're in a spot you won't get towed. This place is super easy to find if you're on foot, walking on Apache. However if you drive just read what people have said. Follow the signs. Good boba place, nice flavors. The matcha puff item was okay. I loved how good it smelled inside. It's very cute and they offer many different flavor options and boba. I'm giving 4 stars because when I ordered from the kiosk i realized later that they added 18% gratuity. I'm happy to tip, when I choose to and the amount I choose. I don't like when they auto add it hoping customers won't notice. It was on the top of the screen and I missed it because it was new ordering interface for me and I was distracted talking to my friend. You can also order with a staff person at the counter that says "order here". Maybe that interface is more clear they are including a tip unless you say otherwise. I used the kiosk because it had pictures so I could figure out what I wanted.

12.7.25 - saw this place on IG and wanted to try it. Finding the parking garage was a bit difficult. There was a moving truck kinda blocking the view of the garage entrance so I missed it at first and circled around in the complex. After entering the garage, you follow the signs on the wall around to the back entrance of the building. There were plenty of spaces at the time I went. Then, just continue following the signs into the place. It wasn't too busy at the time so I got my order in pretty quickly. I ordered the large House Blend Milk Tea w/ Thai Tea Jelly, Matcha Puffs and Signature Black Tea Puffs. The milk tea was good. I really liked the thai tea jelly! The egg puffs were cute! They're in the shape of a phoenix bird? I think. For $5, it comes with 3 per order. The place is a bit out of the way for me to drive here just for milk tea but if I'm in the area again, I'll stop by and try something else on the menu

Well, it's not there so I'll just have to give them 5 stars again :) This is my favorite tea cafe in the valley. The vibe is very much Lofi Girl, iykyk. Super chill and a bright, open space to enjoy some delicious drinks. The staff here are friendly and welcoming. When I come here I usually get iced fruit tea, milk tea, or matcha. They have unique and well flavored drinks. On my most recent trip I ordered from the current seasonal menu. They also have fruit teas, hojicha tea, and espresso drinks. It can be helpful to check their website and see the pictures and descriptions if you're trying to decide what to choose. I had the iced jasmine matcha with oat milk and Mont Blanc foam. This is the best flavored matcha drink I've had compared to matcha drinks I've had in Japan. I watched her hand whisk the ceremonial grade powder, making it well blended and smooth. The delicate jasmine sweetness and the very citrus forward Mont Blanc foam really paired well together. The jasmine version doesn't come with that foam so I paid extra to add it, but well worth it. So delicious! In the past I used to get the earl grey milk tea and strawberry lemon green tea. I'll definitely be back, continuing to try out other drinks. I've liked everything so far from Crafti, and that's saying a lot because many boba or tea places are just too syrupy sweet for me, here it's nice flavors and sweetness.
