Service is great. All the staff are very friendly. Food comes out fresh and fast. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. This place probably has the best popcorn chicken I've ever had. Such a good flavor. My only recommendation is to ask what sauces are available if you like a particular sauce, prior to placing your order. On my last visit once my popcorn chicken was ready they asked what sauce I wanted. Unfortuantely, they were out of the sweet sauce and gave me something different instead. The sauce was good, but not what I would want for my chicken. Unfortuantely, I didn't enjoy it as I normally would have because I was missing the delicious sauce with it. If I would have known they were out of the sauce, I would have opted to order something else off their great menu. There are a lot of great options. In the future, I will inquire about the sauces. Wear your mask to enter! This location still feels a lot like Sharetea, though I think the menu is a little more extensive. The place has a lot of anime (I think they're from different anime, correct me if I'm wrong) decorations, a line of large rubber ducks, and features a shelf on the side with collectable figurines on the side. Kinda eclectic, kinda too much, but kinda cute. There's plenty of seating, the interior is spacious, and there were a few tables towards the back where people were charging laptops and working. I really enjoyed the popcorn chicken ($5.95)--it was crispy yet tender, the portion size and value are much better than some other boba places in the area, and the medium spice level was a perfect amount of heat to go with our drinks. My matcha milk tea was great at 50% sweetness; there seemed to be a little bit of matcha powder that wasn't quite mixed in well, but I really appreciated the real matcha flavor & the drink was still pretty smooth. This is maybe a 4.5 rounded up to a 5, as it's good but not anything particularly life-changing. New boba shop in town: I'll be there! Parking in this plaza can be tight and limited, but you'll certainly find a spot if you circle around. We ordered a few drinks: 2 taro milk teas with boba, a coffee milk tea with boba, and my usual, roasted oolong milk tea with boba. Although I got 30% sweetness, my drink was quite sweet! The group chatted for quite a while in the shop, so as the ice melted, it dilated the drink to make it taste so much better! The boba itself was a good texture and the chewiness that I like. I liked the drink overall. I only got to try my SO's coffee milk tea. Definitely skip it. The flavor was too watered down and quite bitter. SO attested the taro milk tea was good though. I didn't see any taro chucks, so that was a shame. Inside decor caters to the young, high school crowd. I definitely would come back here if I'm in the Dublin area, craving some boba. Writing my review because once I signed in, all my review disappeared. Great stop for boba, is clean, has many options+ food and my favorite is that the drink options have options which have multiple toppings. My order was made well with 30% sugar and less ice which felt just right for less ice and less sweet. Cups are strong and well sealed, compared to some options. Location is very convient and has decent parking. I believe this use to be a different boba place but has now improved in my opinion. Will be stopping by next time I am in the area and want to try boba. Will get menu picture next time. read more

Back then, I always ordered their Happy Family. Now, I love their Coffee Milk Tea! Besides, make sure you ask for boba. Super good!!! I also tried Oreo Cream with 30% sweetness and 0% ice. This review is specifically about the popcorn chicken since that's all I got. It was a major let down. I'm confused because I came here specifically to get popcorn chicken after seeing all the rave reviews. Some went as far to say it's the best they've ever had or the only thing they would come back for. Don't know what they ate, but it sure as hell wasn't what I had lol. Maybe I got a bad batch, but the chicken was dry and somewhat tough -- the way you'd expect overcooked chicken breast to taste. Normally I can bite into a nugget and the meat tears off easily whereas with Boba X's I felt I was chewing a lot more to break it down. The breading was nice n' crispy, but it (and the chicken) was bland-- it's basically normal fried chicken NOT the Taiwanese chicken I'm used to getting that has a specific flavor profile and very distinct taste due to the Chinese 5 spice & basil used to make it. There's a reason why boba shops' popcorn chicken is so different than Popeye's or your typical fried chicken-- that's what I crave and what I look for and sadly Boba X did not deliver! read more

We went to this boba spot twice when we were in the bay area for Labor Day weekend. The fried chicken here slaps, nicely seasoned and piping hot (ours didn't come with fried basil though). The boba taste fresh, bouncy and chewy (10/10). I've tried their jasmine thai tea (9/10) and matcha latte (7/10, a bit gritty) and both were tasty. I usually get my drinks with reduced sugar and ice and they were quick to accommodate my requests. Friendly service, great chicken, tasty drinks, and a clean space. I paid for two bobas and calamari, including a $4 tip, only to be told afterward that they didn't have the calamari. She tried to substitute octopus, which I don't eat, and when I asked for popcorn chicken, they were out of that too! If most of the menu items aren't available, maybe they should take them down. The boba was just okay. She just refunded the money I paid for the Calamari. I regret giving her a tip! The worker didn't offer any solution or even acknowledge the issue. This used to be a Sharetea location and is now Boba X, never heard of Boba X but let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the Jasmine Thai Tea, 30% sugar, no boba. I've never seen Jasmine Thai Tea on a boba menu before and was really intrigued. It had both Jasmine and Thai tea flavors, evenly balanced, I was super happy with my drink choice. Since the Thai tea flavor is an already sweetened powder, you can get this drink with no sugar which I will do in the future, 30% sugar was pretty sweet and doesn't do anything for those gains at the gym.. but a splurge here and there doesn't hurt and I had no regrets :) They have a ton of drinks on the menu and as I was waiting for my drink, I saw other drinks lined up and ready for pickup, very nice presentation, colorful and made me wana go all out and order one! I ordered a Thai Tea with boba, and my girlfriend ordered a Tropical Fruit tea with boba. it was quite disappointing . my thai tea tasted like a poor attempt at making chocolate milk and her "tropical fruit tea" tasted like a children's 3in1 shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and the boba itself tasted like absolutely nothing. like bunch of little black holes canceling out the 3 in 1 flavor of the tea. read more

Our favorite boba shop in the Tri-Valley. A lot of not tea or caffeine options for the kids: we love the mango with ice cream, or the guava summer with a water base. I love the red bean matcha for an afternoon treat. Food wise, standard popcorn chicken available but also some other great options- Honey waffle fries are delicious! I was in the area and wanted to try a new boba place so decided to try Boba X. I ordered the Strawberry Fruit Tea and the Mango Fruit Tea, both with boba. The boba was nice and chewy. The mango fruit tea tasted fine but oh my goodness, the strawberry fruit tea was CRAZY tart. I had a hard time taking the first sip.. We threw that out right away, unfortunately. At first I was sad because there was no more share tea. But after trying boba x-I'm so happy that sharetea changed to boba x. The tea is FANTASTIC. I love jasmine green milk tea-and sometimes you can taste the bitterness of the tea. Not here!! It is perfectly made and tastes amazing! (80% sweet with boba of course). They are fast as well. The first time I came here there was a huge line because it was right after schools in the area get out-they had our drinks ready in less than 8-10 minutes. Meet Boba X...ShareTea revamped. Boba X has the oldies but goodies of the ShareTea menu with some nice upgrades that I feel address some of what ShareTea was lacking as far as options. The build your own tea, for example, is a great addition so that you can select from several fruity flavors and customize your fruit tea. If you're adventurous they also have some new drinks, that don't have a description other than the name. I lucked out in trying the Guava summer tea, which with boba and lychee jelly is now my personal fave. For food, I have only tried the popcorn chicken and calamari rings which were both pretty good. We ordered mild, which can sometimes lead to no flavor, but our food still had some taste to it. Drinks aside, the rebranding from the decor to the cups is also well done. read more

As my friends and I walked into BobaX, we were hit with the smell of fresh brewing boba. The young man at the register was very patient with my friend group, because they were four of us, we all had ordered a drink, and an appetizer. As for the drinks, they were all okay, they tasted like your average standard Boba drinks. The appetizers that my friends and I got were waffle fries, teriyaki balls and calamari. I do not recommend the calamari at all. It was very dry and had cinnamon(?). Their waffle fries and teriyaki were extremely delicious. They were gone within the first 10 seconds. I loved how the whole shop was one piece themed, it was very unique compared to any of the other Boba shops that I've been to. One of our favorite places to get boba and snacks. They really upped their snack menu. So many items like chicken wings, takoyaki, popcorn chicken and a variety of other fried items. Their drinks are always good but I like the matcha and coffee crema. They even have the snow section that comes with ice cream and you can always add it to your drink.
