Came here since it was rated decent and close by, ordered the matcha cheese crema with Pearl boba, 30% sweet, less ice. I found that even at 30% this was too sweet, and the matcha was a bit powdery. The crema was okay, but not quite salty enough for me. I did like that they do the mini Pearl boba, but they were out when I wanted to place my order. Not sure I'll be back. read more

We've been coming to Boba X when they opened originally as ShareTea. The owner is the sweetest lady ever with a whimsically decorated shop, and we love supporting her small business for the past...6-7 years?? and watching as her family grows and the babies grow up with this store. Drink wise I think they're still similar to the ShareTea drinks with slightly different names. There is an interesting jasmine Thai tea, but I usually get a mango green milk tea. I think their popcorn chicken is on point. Would be even better with some basil but it's a pretty big box for $7 and plenty of sauces to choose from to dip too. It always comes out juicy and crispy and the price point is pretty awesome. The crispy tofu is also decent but I still like the chicken best and even my toddler who never really eats chicken nuggets will fight with me to eat their popcorn chicken. You can call ahead to order and it may take 10-15 minutes which means it could be ready by the time you get there! The parking lot is a bit small to park in but if you don't go during crowded after school hours, it's not so bad. Rounding up to 5 stars because I think the small business deserves some kudos! read more

All things considered, yesterday on April 6th, 2023 a.d. (that's after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, hence A.D.) I happened to step into this quaint little corner Boba store with a peculiar arm and "X" on the arm for the name of this snack and drink shop, Boba X. The employee Denise and store owner Michelle were so nice and accommodating, I asked what I should order, and Michelle suggested the Mango Guava fruit tea with Fried Zucchini. Delicious!!! I got the jasmine thai milk tea thinking it was like a mix of jasmine and thai... it just tasted like regular jasmine milk tea for over $5!! Not worth at all. I've gone there 3 times now and they don't disappoint! Sugar levels are accurate and flavors are good. I've had their Okinawa milk tea and it was just the right amount of tea and creamer combo. Boba was nice and chewy, not overcooked. Their guava summer was good too. The popcorn chicken is hot and crispy, right out of the fryer. read more

I am basing this on my daughter's experience. We try lots of boba places everywhere we go and no one beats Tea Island in Fremont BUT this place ranks high on my daughter's list and she is very picky. She gets both cream based and fruit base drinks. It's always 1/2 sugar and she claims the drinks are perfect. I always go with her and they are fast, friendly and the place is clean. An additional plus is their cups are good quality so you're not squeezing your cup, leaching plastic, while drinking. read more

Great service and helpful staff! :) Popcorn chicken was 10/10 and you get a lot! Highly recommend getting spicy! Fried Calamari was ok 7/10 kind of tough/chewy, Takoyaki was good! Everything you loved about the Sharetea that formerly occupied this location with some fun new menu and decor additions to check out. Great drinks, friendly staff, big open doors on opposite sides of the cafe for air flow. Hot tip: You can split a full sized drink into two cups, which makes it the perfect size for the kiddos. When the pandemic is over, I assume they'll bring back the games and toys, which make it a really fun place to hang out. read more

I love their decor! I'm a huge One Piece fan and I was very excited to see all the action figures and posters at this cute boba shop. They also have a great selection of drinks. Really average quality and a pretty basic menu. The workers were really helpful and friendly with me as I asked questions. My order was incorrect (missed a topping for one drink and gave the incorrect sweetness and ice level for the other), but honestly not major enough to bother me. They seem a bit short staffed at the moment but the wait time was still really reasonable. The popcorn chicken and mozzarella cheese sticks were good, but not the best I've had in Dublin. The tea was refreshing but one had a bitter aftertaste (note: this drink was 0% sugar and had no milk, so I expected it to be more bitter; but I get the same drink + same prep at other boba locations and don't experience this level aftertaste.). Again, it wasn't unpleasant, just nothing to write home about. Overall it's a fine place to go (especially if you're really into One Piece) and will satisfy your boba craving + the staff were helpful and kind; but there are better places in Dublin. read more

i remember when this place used to be a sharetea and this was my first time here as it was boba x and i have to say i didn't have high standards. however, once i got my drink i was very surprised! this is one of the best new boba spots ive tried in this area, and the boba in particular is cooked perfectly! i love the soft and chewy texture and it wasn't too hard or gooey like other places that might over or undercook the boba. i ordered the winter melon fresh milk with ice cream and boba and the drink itself was also so good!! i ended up finishing my drink in less than 20 minutes which is pretty rare for me but i couldn't stop drinking, both the boba and drink itself were prefect. this place definitely exceeded my standards and for having 2 toppings in a large drink it was very reasonably priced as well! (about $6 including tip) if i hadn't have moved out of dublin i would definitely go here on the regular. read more

I am the PR of the Gael Force Robotics Club for Dublin High. My team and I spent lots of our time and energy making flyers for our BobaX fundraiser, posting it on our Instagram with 983 followers, sending it out to our friends and family in nearby cities, and even had it on the billboard announcements for our school by paying $5. I can list off the top of my head about 120 people who went there the day of the fundraiser. After all the effort and time I put into this fundraiser, we got a mere $23 for all our work. If I knew this fundraiser would only get us that much, I would have easily saved my time and effort by simply taking $20 out of my pocket and donating it to our club. I am shocked by their unfair process and am extremely upset with the results. I 100% do not recommend BobaX as a student-friendly business to fundraise with. read more
