My kids and I have been coming here for over a decade! With so many boba places in the Trivalley area, that really says something! Even when passing through (we don't live in the area anymore), my son said to me: "Do you want to get boba? Let's go to that CUTE place in East Dublin... what is the name?" I was thinking too... it was pretty funny that then it dawned on us! Ummmm...QT!!!! (Yup, Q-Tea is appropriately named!!!) It was the typical Dublin Summer temperature of 100+ degrees, so I got my favorite Q-Tea drink: matcha red bean slushie (50% sweetness). My son tried a new flavor, which he loved: passion fruit slushie (80% sweetness, I think?) with boba. The owner was, and has always been, so friendly and sweet. I always remember her! We love coming here. I've also thrown "boba parties" for my children's birthdays before, so Q-Tea was my go-to place, even when new boba stores opened up who fried their bobas, offered snazzy weird popping flavored bobas, etc. Q-Tea makes classic boba drinks, is always consistently good, and has great customer care because it is run by the owner who is a kind lady. Tasted like sugar water, similar to T4 on Bollinger on a bad day. It could have been a fluke since the other ratings are so high. There was only one relatively young person working (or visible at least) and it seemed like she hated her job. She was sitting at the table on her computer for a couple minutes before coming up to take our order, and didn't really talk at all. I think this was what they call "Gen Z stare" Terrible drinks and service, we all had to throw it away, and we hate wasting food. Multiple drinks in the trash hurts to see. Maybe I'll give it another shot in like a year or more. I got a response from Cindy, not sure if this is a joke lol, must be a copied and pasted response, or she responded to the wrong person. We ordered at the kiosk, and the employee at the counter was friendly and our order came out fairly quickly. The shop isn't big but has a few small tables and has cute decorations and kawaii-style artwork. Hurricane fries: best thing we ordered. The sauce was good and didn't make the fries too soggy Iced Vietnamese coffee: okay, definitely not the best, but it was not offensive Hazelnut milk tea: added almond milk and almond pudding, 30% sweet. Good flavor, not much hazelnut flavor but that's probably cuz of all the almond extras it was customized with. Glad to have cut back the sweetness or it would've definitely been too much Almond milk tea: worst thing we ordered. The almond taste seemed artificial, as if almond extract or essence was used and not almond milk. We didn't want to waste it (boba ain't cheap!) so we argued over which of us had to drink it instead of throwing it away In general, all the drinks seemed watered down, in both taste, appearance, and mouthfeel. My sister used to frequent this place when she lived nearby, and the owner still remembered her after a year of not visiting! I also overheard the owner telling a customer "I remember you usually get fresh milk with that, do you want that today?" We love thoughtful gestures :) Overwhelmed by the selection! They have 2 iPads to order from, and I felt like I kept scrolling. I wish we were hungry for snacks because they had my favorites like popcorn chicken ($10.15) and hurricane tots ($8.75). Sea salt coffee ($7.50): I got this half sweet and it was perfect! Not too salty (my usual gripe for this drink elsewhere) and not overpowered by the milk. I see why it made the top 8! A large size was an extra $1. Rose milk tea ($7.35): My sister's go-to! I normally don't like the perfumey taste of rose milk tea, but it didn't taste like that here. It was light and not too sweet. My first time at this place and found out that this store has been around 10 years. I can't believe I have never been there. I got the popcorn chicken as a snack and it was so juicy and crunchy! There were some descent size of the chicken pieces too. I enjoyed it. The two drinks I got were almond milk boba and oolong milk tea boba, both were delicious. It's one of the last remaining cheaper boba tea places in the bay area with boba included in the pricing of most drinks, so I can see why people enjoy this place. Still, it's essentially a Quickly, but their tea strength is good. There are a few seats inside and at the time, just a single person running both the cash register and making the drinks. They have some cute trinkets, merchandise, and plushies for purchase at the counter, and free simple board games to play. We got two fruit teas - pineapple and mango strawberry - they were both quite sweet, and even at 30% my drink was too sweet. I thought the fruit flavors tasted more like am ambiguous sweet fruit flavor more than mango or strawberry, and the pineapple tasted more like pineapple candy. Their boba was good; it was soft and bouncy, and almost had a jelly texture. They have a snack menu that consists of mainly fried items with reasonable prices. The shop is a bit narrow and congested coming in from the front. You will order from a tablet and see the staff rush frantically to create everyone's order. I decided to order the Honey Rice milk tea with grass jelly topping. I came in thinking I would come in and out with my drink. Service was friendly and there was no line when I arrived late Saturday afternoon. Got our drinks without too long of a long wait. Mango Strawberry Tea - I got 25% sweetness and it was pretty standard. Not the best I've had, but still good. Had some strawberry bits at the bottom. On the more pricey side for this drink. White peach oolong milk tea - I got 50% sweetness. I wasn't sure what went wrong here, but there was almost no tea flavor and it tasted very watery. Came here today after some errands. This place used to be I-Tea but I guess is now called QTea. The place is similar to I-Tea but I will admit that their drinks are pretty good. Passion fruit green tea is similar to I-Tea's so take that for what you will. However, the Black Tea Oreo smoothie was good. You could taste the tea but you could also taste the Oreo. Good balance and not too sweet. That said, their food was impressive. Most places have basil popcorn chicken, but at QTea, you could order it based on if you want chicken breast meat or chicken thigh meat. I personally prefer chicken thigh and it was seasoned well, fried well, and juicy. Though fair warning, sue to chicken thigh being the part fried, it is a bit more oily. Their menu has a few other snacks, one of which I'll have to try next time, but they have Japanese Egg Tofu. Service was pretty quick. Few minutes waiting for everything in the early weekend afternoon. The place doesn't have the most seating, but there are still a few tables. Noise level wise, it's alright. They apparently have anime on their TV (saw Spy x Family being played), but it wasn't like you could hear it much if at all due to the noise of the milk tea machines. The staff here were friendly and accommodating with the large order that we had - with many drinks varying in sweetness, ice, etc. They made sure that all the drinks we ordered were correct and repeated them each time, even if it took a bit longer. I later found out that they also use a texting service so you can also text your order to them and they'll begin making it!
